Graham Chase Robinson strikes back with a lawsuit that alleges De Niro is a sexist who initiated unwanted physical contact and "took a page out of the Bill O’Reilly playbook."
Transcript
00:00Robert De Niro has been accused of sexual bias in the workplace.
00:05Back in August, the actor's production company Canal Productions filed a lawsuit
00:09against their former employee, Graham Chase Robinson, a VP of the company, for abusing
00:14corporate credit cards and slacking on the job, among other complaints.
00:18But now the woman is hitting back with her own lawsuit, claiming De Niro leads an
00:22abusive workplace towards women. The complaint filed on Thursday in New York
00:26Federal Court reads in part, Robert De Niro is someone who has clung to old moors.
00:31He does not accept the idea that men should treat women as equals. He does not care that
00:35gender discrimination in the workplace violates the law.
00:38Robinson alleges that she was treated as De Niro's office wife and assigned duties like housework.
00:43She further accuses the Oscar-winning actor of directing her towards unwanted physical
00:47contact, which included, among other things, scratching his back, fixing his collars, and
00:53prodding him awake when he was in bed.
00:55Robinson also claims that De Niro has made inappropriate and at times sexually charged
01:00comments to her and in front of her.
01:02The complaint reads,
01:04He would joke with Ms. Robinson about his Viagra prescription. He told Ms. Robinson that
01:08doing manual labor would make a man out of you. De Niro suggested that Ms. Robinson could
01:12get pregnant using sperm from her married male co-worker.
01:16Robinson claims gender discrimination, retaliation, violation of the Equal Pay Act, and various
01:22other state and federal labor laws, and is seeking at least $12 million in damages.
01:26THR has reached out to De Niro's reps for comment.
