00:00Beautiful.
00:00Yeah.
00:01Sharing your mom's story last night.
00:03Thank you so much for that.
00:04I really appreciate it.
00:05My mom got diagnosed with cancer.
00:08Right before I'm about to come on the show,
00:10it was literally just like a month and a half ago.
00:13And I had to make that decision.
00:14Like, should I come on to the show,
00:16or should I go be there with her?
00:17How did she react to that?
00:19I spoke with her, and she's like, just go do it.
00:22It's not easy.
00:23It's really hard.
00:24I'm really feeling for him.
00:26And I know that it's a really difficult thing to go through.
00:29I am so sorry about everything that has been going on.
00:33But I'm so happy you shared it.
00:35Because sometimes it's hard if people don't really
00:38kind of understand it to talk about it or open up about it.
00:41We're in different situations.
00:43But I know that the more that I'm able to talk about it,
00:46it helps me move through it and find peace with it.
00:50I already knew Robbie was a good guy.
00:52Just being able to connect with him
00:53and find that friendship is amazing.
00:56If you need anything while we're here,
00:58or you need to talk about your mom,
01:00please know that, like, you can do that.
01:02Same to you, you know?
01:03Because sometimes even just talking about these memories
01:06can be a lot.
01:07For sure.
01:08How'd you guys sleep last night?
01:18Yesterday was tough.
01:20But, I mean, overall, it's a new day.
01:22I would love to get outside and sweat a little bit,
01:24maybe kind of get my nerves out.
01:25Same.
01:26Start a new day fresh, move around a little bit.
01:29Get in your body, out of your head.
01:31Get the jitter sound.
01:32Yeah!
01:33Like you want to say, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:35What is one word that y'all are going to, like, bring into today?
01:39Vulnerability, you know?
01:41I came in kind of just willing to go for it,
01:45and that's all well and good.
01:47But there's a whole other side to it as well
01:49that I need to explore more.
01:51Probably on the opposite end for me, confidence.
01:53I feel like I need more of what you have, you know?
01:55Here. Yeah.
01:56Take this.
01:57Hey, all right.
01:59I think we probably all could take something from each other.
02:01I'm waiting on some vulnerability here.
02:03Oh, there you go.
02:04There's some vulnerability.
02:05I'll give a little heart to everybody, you know?
02:08Oh, did you hear that?
02:10Hey, let's go!
02:12Being in the bottom two,
02:13my confidence was a bit shaken.
02:15The other guys are really talented,
02:17and the last couple advantages
02:19from the festive face-offs have been huge.
02:21They're becoming more and more valuable.
02:23I need one, and I need it now.
02:29Oh, my God.
02:30We're going to have to go in those.
02:32And now, from the Funny Mr. Christmas marching band,
02:35please welcome Melissa Peterman.
02:39Oh, yeah.
02:39Oh, wow.
02:47Hey, guys.
02:48Welcome to the Fa-la-la lawn.
02:51Let me hear you say it.
02:52Fa-la-la lawn.
02:53Fa-la-la lawn.
02:54I hope you stretched,
02:55because we're about to have a ball, literally.
02:59Today, you will be rolling into the holiday cheer
03:03in giant inflatable ornaments,
03:05and bowling down tree-tied treasures
03:07like the hunks that you are.
03:09This challenge is wild.
03:12What are you putting us through, Jonathan Bennett?
03:16Here's how these trees will go down.
03:18In two heats of three,
03:20you'll jump into a giant ornament and race
03:22to knock down six trees as fast as you can.
03:25You'll be timed, and the fastest person
03:27out of the two rounds will be our winner.
03:30Oh, he's sick.
03:32It's crazy.
03:33Win, and you'll get an advantage
03:35in the next Star Quality Challenge.
03:37Great.
03:37Yeah.
03:38Our first group up, Marcus,
03:40you'll be in red,
03:41looking for the trees with the red ribbon.
03:43Okay.
03:44Craig, you'll be blue,
03:47looking for the trees with the blue ribbon,
03:49and Davey, you're going to be yellow.
03:52Now, remember, the first person to knock down
03:54all their trees wins, but be careful out there,
03:57because if you knock down someone else's color,
04:00that person gets the point.
04:01Marcus, Craig, and Davey, go get ready.
04:04The rest of you can watch on the sidelines.
04:08Gentlemen, step inside your balls.
04:12Oh, my gosh.
04:14This is real.
04:14But I've been thrown into some fires before
04:17and haven't been cooked, so I'm ready.
04:20I've definitely never been inside of one
04:22of these inflatable balls before.
04:24It makes you automatically feel claustrophobic.
04:27All right, my little hamsters.
04:29On your mark.
04:31Get set.
04:36This is not going to be easy.
04:38We can't actually see where the ribbons are at.
04:40They're facing the opposite direction.
04:41It's kind of crazy.
04:45Davey just knocked down one of Marcus's trees.
04:48One for Marcus.
04:49He's a giver.
04:50He's the gift that keeps on giving.
04:52I'm going to have to be a little bit more careful about this.
04:54Go, go, go!
04:55Go, go, go!
04:56Oh!
04:56Oh!
04:58It is just utter chaos inside this ball.
05:04Davey's got one.
05:04There he goes.
05:05Oh, Marcus got the second one.
05:07Oh, that was aggressive.
05:09Uh-oh, Davey got another one.
05:12Marcus has gotten two of his down.
05:13Davey's gotten two of his down.
05:15I'm trying to figure out what's the quickest way to run, and I kind of figure it out.
05:19I put my hands at the top, and I'm like using that to keep me balanced almost.
05:24I want to make sure that these things break.
05:27Oh!
05:28Oh, look at that!
05:29Oh, man.
05:31It works better if you're standing up.
05:33Oh, wow.
05:34Oh, wow.
05:34Craig's got one down.
05:35Oh, here comes Davey.
05:36Oh, Davey!
05:37Watch out of the way.
05:39Oh, all right.
05:40There goes Craig.
05:43That's two for Craig.
05:44Oh, my God.
05:46Oh, my God.
05:47Oh, my God.
05:48Davey has three.
05:48Marcus has four.
05:51Craig gets another tree.
05:52Another one for Marcus.
05:55Four trees for Craig.
05:57Oh, wow.
05:58Oh, my gosh.
05:59It is a tight race.
06:01This is a very exciting day in sports.
06:04They've all got five.
06:05This is Davey's last one.
06:11Davey wins.
06:13Congratulations, Davey.
06:15Good job, buddy.
06:17I won my heat.
06:18Obviously, there's a second heat, but seeing how far behind Craig and Marcus were
06:21was also encouraging.
06:23He said the bar really high.
06:25Yeah, for sure, man.
06:27Round two.
06:28Angel, you're going to be green.
06:30Robbie, orange, and Rustin, purple.
06:32I'm really going to have to give it my all.
06:34Hopefully, I can stay safe and not get injured.
06:38Davey did it so fast, and I know in order to beat him, I need to get a time that's better than his.
06:42Okay, three, two, one, go!
06:48All right, here they go.
06:51They're coming in hot.
06:51They're coming in hot.
06:52Oh, watch out!
06:53Whoa!
06:55Angel got one down.
06:56Oh, my gosh.
06:57I could have died.
06:58Oh, my gosh.
06:59But what a way to go.
07:00Angel's moving.
07:01You'll speak at my funeral, won't you?
07:05Rustin's got one.
07:06Like a wrecking ball.
07:08Robbie's got one.
07:09Oh, he just knocked down one of Angel's trees.
07:13Angel is in the lead with two.
07:15Watching heat one, I was able to figure out my strategy.
07:18The fastest way between two points is a direct line.
07:21I'm going to hit all the trees on the left, and then I'm going to hit all the trees in the center
07:25and on the right on the way back.
07:29Robbie got another one.
07:31Oh, my gosh.
07:31Angel just knocked his third tree down.
07:33These guys are in it to win it.
07:34I'm going at 100 miles per hour.
07:36I'm going wild.
07:38Full throttle.
07:40Rustin's got another.
07:41Angel is on fire.
07:43Angel has got his fourth one down.
07:46Another point for Robbie.
07:48Angel is in the lead with four, and Robbie and Rustin are tied with three.
07:53That's four trees for Robbie.
07:56Angel, don't backtrack.
07:57Hey, Angel, no, what are you doing?
07:58Angel, you're going the wrong way.
08:01I didn't know if I was forgetting one three, so I slowed down and lose my momentum.
08:06Angel just had to turn around.
08:08Angel, to your right.
08:09Oh, Rustin.
08:11Oh, Rustin's got another one down.
08:15Robbie's got five trees.
08:16He's in the lead.
08:17Go, Robbie.
08:18Finish up.
08:19There's so much chaos.
08:20Rustin's got another one.
08:22Angel has one more.
08:23There's so many.
08:24I love it.
08:25Jonathan, this isn't true to come true.
08:26Angel has two more trees to get down.
08:27Oh, Robbie got his last tree.
08:29Robbie!
08:30Robbie crossed the finish line first.
08:37Robbie Rustin Angel.
08:39I'm here with some really physically fit guys, but I've kind of learned that I can do anything
08:44and to not count me out.
08:46The fastest times today were between Davey and Robbie, but it was literally a matter of seconds.
08:54Wow.
08:54Robbie already has the advantage of a lot of experience.
08:59I feel like I really need this one going into the next star quality challenge.
09:02The hunk that took down their trees the fastest is...
09:11Davey, congratulations.
09:12Good job, Davey.
09:14Thanks, fellas.
09:15Good job.
09:15Good job.
09:16Good job.
09:17Good job.
09:17Davey, how's it feel?
09:18You won a fasted face-up.
09:19Yeah, it feels good, finally.
09:21I haven't had an advantage yet, so I'm a little bit nervous with what's to come.
09:25Do you want to know what that advantage is now?
09:27Yeah.
09:28Davey, the star quality challenge will be an acting challenge,
09:31and you will be able to sit and watch the other actors perform with me and Melissa.
09:37That's another crazy one.
09:38That's a huge advantage.
09:39So you'll be hearing the notes we're saying, the commentary we're saying,
09:43all the things that we're pointing out that are going right,
09:46all the things we're pointing out that are going wrong.
09:48You'll be able to sit there and listen.
09:50I feel good, I guess, that I got so close.
09:54I'm sticking my feather in that cap,
09:56but a feather is not an advantage in the star quality competition.
10:00Coming up, let's run it.
10:02That way we don't waste more time.
10:05Brilliant.
10:06Yeah, so originally we were thinking that Rustin took charge.
10:09Who is like your guys' leader right now?
10:11I think we've all contributed a significant amount.
10:15Those were awesome.
10:16They almost feel like they're overacting a little bit.
10:20The first time you could sign up for youth sports, I was such an introvert,
10:31and I was so quiet as a kid, and I was painfully shy.
10:35Two and kind of through high school, you know, it was sort of sports that
10:39had that built-in sense of community where you automatically have friends.
10:42I felt shy, introverted all through high school because I was chubby and then I got in shape,
10:46and I still felt introverted. I felt like I was fake in shape.
10:49Like, it didn't really feel like it was me yet.
10:51Sports was that out-ended.
10:53It kind of forced you to be extroverted.
10:55With every day, I feel like I'm growing so much. I'm getting closer to the other guys.
10:59We help each other out. We root each other on.
11:01From the moment I could walk, my parents told me I was always, I liked playing with balls.
11:06Basketball, baseball, the football, whatever.
11:08A lot of the guys that I was friends with at childhood stopped playing sports.
11:14And a lot of them, you know, unfortunately some of them are gone now.
11:17So sports kept me on the right track and, you know, I definitely wouldn't be here.
11:22So, you know, I'm grateful.
11:23Sports is a good way to stay out of trouble as a kid.
11:25I think for me it kept me out of trouble, you know?
11:27I played Division I college football.
11:29A big part of that is because of my dad. He pushed me.
11:32There were lots of times where it was challenging.
11:34I set the bar really high for myself, and I have high standards for myself.
11:38I expect to do well, and if I don't, I get frustrated.
11:43It seems like we're all coming from just drastically different circumstances
11:46to lead to the same place, you know?
11:47I really feel like we have such a bond.
11:50It's become a brotherhood really quickly.
11:52You know, I appreciate you guys for that.
11:54It's rare, and it's special.
11:57I'm going to miss you all as you keep going one by one.
12:04See what kind of advantage Davey gets.
12:05There's a smoker, a beat smoker.
12:09Wow, I like these looks.
12:12Hey guys, welcome to the Christmas block party.
12:16It's time for your annual neighborhood street snow show.
12:20Wait, what now?
12:21Okay.
12:21Snow show?
12:22Snow show?
12:22Snow and a snow show?
12:24I'll take it, I like it.
12:24It's a snow show.
12:25We're having a snow show!
12:26Snow show!
12:30In this star quality challenge, you guys will work in two teams of three to perform the same script.
12:36Your challenge is to make the scene uniquely your own.
12:40The scene will be set at a merry lane mingle with all the chaos that happens when you bring neighbors together.
12:48Each group will have to decide who plays which part and how you will bring the scene to life.
12:53Through your energy, your choices about what you do, and the way you interact with each other.
12:57It's all on you.
12:58It's a hunk production.
13:00Okay, I like that, I like that.
13:02We're looking for great teamwork.
13:04And while you will work and act together, we want you to each find a way to shine individually.
13:09And to join the fun, this Hallmark star is an actress and producer you've seen in movies like
13:14Santa's Summit and Holiday Touchdown, A Chief's Love Story.
13:19Is it Hunter?
13:20Is it Hunter?
13:21Is it?
13:22Is it?
13:22It is!
13:25Please welcome Hunter King!
13:29Oh my gosh!
13:31I'm so excited!
13:32Hi guys!
13:34She is Hallmark royalty.
13:37And I'm so excited to be doing this scene with her.
13:39I'm so excited to be here.
13:40I'm a huge fan of the show.
13:42I can't wait to meet all of you.
13:43Thank you for having me.
13:44We're so excited you're here.
13:46So they're going to be performing a scene in a group with you.
13:50Oh wow, you know group scenes are some of my favorites to film.
13:52They're so much fun, but there's a fine balance when you're filming them.
13:55You don't want to upstage your co-stars too much the whole time, but you also don't want to fall into the background.
14:00I sometimes, I like to steal a scene.
14:02You?
14:03Never!
14:04I know you would never believe it.
14:07But I do like to steal a scene.
14:09But I will say that there's a way to come in and sparkle and make yourself notice without upstaging somebody.
14:14Wow.
14:15Great.
14:15Team one is Robbie, Rustin, and Marcus.
14:20Okay.
14:21Team two is Davey, Angel, and Craig.
14:24All right.
14:25Yeah.
14:25All right.
14:25Let's go.
14:26Let's get it boys.
14:27Let's get it.
14:28You'll have one hour to meet with your team and decide how you want to play your scene.
14:32Then you will just have 10 minutes to fill Hunter in before we call action.
14:37Davey, since you won the festive face-off, you're going to sit with Melissa and I while the other
14:41group goes first.
14:43Okay.
14:44Here are your scripts, determine who's playing which part, and think about bringing the scenes to
14:49life.
14:50All right.
14:51Good luck.
14:52Good luck.
14:52Think about casting.
14:54Have fun.
14:54All right.
14:55Let's go in and sit down.
14:56Let them do the work.
14:56Yeah, yeah, yeah.
14:57Let's go in.
14:57We already got the job.
14:58Yeah, we're already on the show.
15:05Dude, this scene is a comedy.
15:07Of course it's a comedy.
15:08Absolutely.
15:08This is funny.
15:09So the scene we have to perform today is about two brothers at a neighborhood party meeting their
15:15sister who's bringing a boyfriend for the first time, and we have to choose who's going to play who.
15:21Obviously, brothers.
15:23Yeah.
15:25Uh, boyfriend.
15:26Absolutely.
15:27Any preference on man one or two?
15:29Man two right away says dude, and I feel like you say dude.
15:32Yeah.
15:33And that was like, all right, there you go.
15:35This is a comedy scene, so in order for that to come through, you have to have fun.
15:41Like, we're brothers.
15:42Yeah.
15:42Like, that has to come across.
15:44I think so too.
15:45Yeah.
15:45That brotherly banter, that football slapping your butt with a towel type thing.
15:49Yep.
15:49And then, uh, you're this outsider who, um, you know, let's put you to the test, buddy.
15:54Yeah.
15:55You know, bring it on.
15:55I don't have a sister, but I could imagine.
15:57Growing up, I had an older brother and a younger brother.
16:00We're always giving each other a hard time, joking around, so I'm hoping to kind of bring that out in this scene.
16:05All right, casting.
16:07Is there anyone that drew you guys to anything?
16:10Maybe have us be brothers.
16:12You guys riffing off each other?
16:13Yeah, yeah.
16:14Yeah, so I'll do man one.
16:15And I'll be man two.
16:16I'm jealous that you'll get to be Hunter's boyfriend, but you know what?
16:20You know?
16:20I think you'll be really funny in that part.
16:22Okay, okay.
16:23I like it.
16:23I like it.
16:24I think you can take it.
16:25Yeah, no, I can take it.
16:26I can take it.
16:27Being the new boyfriend, meeting the siblings and the family, I feel like I've done that before,
16:32and I felt like I could relate to that character.
16:34The brothers do something devious to mess with man three and ruin the picture.
16:37A leading lady snaps the photo.
16:39We have to have the joke of ruining the picture.
16:42Epic.
16:43Oh, absolutely.
16:44Let's start thinking of ideas, like how can we ruin the picture?
16:48So probably like she's had a lot of other boyfriends that she's like brought home in the past.
16:53Yeah.
16:53We're always so judgmental because we care about her.
16:55We love her.
16:56She's our little sister.
16:57Little sister.
16:57I think so.
16:58We're caring for that.
16:59So the last few years I've gotten some really incredible opportunities to direct.
17:02Everything from new plays to big musicals.
17:07Where are we wanting to set up the scene, right?
17:09We can probably make a set up here at the table.
17:12Yes, and I can walk out of the house right there.
17:15I just want to make sure that he's going to be able to hear the lines.
17:19I think that it's incredibly important to be able to throw ideas in the hat and figure this thing out together.
17:26That definitely seems like the best shot, right?
17:28This seems like the most reliable place.
17:31Yeah, I'm with the sun behind us too.
17:32We could frame it up here and you just walk off over into this corner or something along those lines.
17:35So that you don't actually have to leave.
17:37My instinct would be that someone needs to be the director.
17:41So I do have experience doing this.
17:43Let's just like go through it and just talk through the story a little bit.
17:46We're trying to get all of this down in a very short amount of time.
17:50But we have to all be on the same page.
17:52And that's like, what is happening?
17:54Like, what is going on right now?
17:57Coming up.
17:58Yeah, we're so happy to meet you.
18:01I want them to feel more like brothers.
18:02Yes.
18:03Are you guys going to do the shake really quick too?
18:05Between the two of you?
18:05That was the moment.
18:06Right.
18:07That's okay, that's okay.
18:08How did we forget that one?
18:09Team one, your planning time is up.
18:17It's time for your 10 minute rehearsal.
18:19Yeah, we're looking forward to being able to discuss a lot of the stuff that we've already
18:23established with you and getting your fresh takes on this.
18:25Yes.
18:26Oh, great.
18:26I'm so excited.
18:27I want to see what you guys have planned.
18:28There's one more layer that we need to add since this is a block party.
18:32Would our background artists please join us?
18:34Come on over here.
18:35Oh, hey, hello, hello, hello.
18:39Wow.
18:40Come on in, guys.
18:40I grew up so festive.
18:42Good?
18:42Perfect.
18:42Fantastic.
18:43Break a leg.
18:44Good luck.
18:44Thank you, Jonathan.
18:44All right, let's do it, okay.
18:46So, it's a lot of pressure to, you know, tell Hunter kind of what to do.
18:50Because if she's not comfortable in the scene, then it's going to make everything else fall apart.
18:54So my brothers?
18:55Yes.
18:55My boyfriend?
18:56Yes, yes, yes.
18:56Okay, all right.
18:57What are we thinking?
18:58Yeah, so originally we were thinking that maybe this was a really good spot,
19:01but now that we have a better layout and understanding of where the background actors are
19:04and how the food is established, it's starting to feel like maybe our primary scene should
19:10actually be up here in front.
19:10A little closer up here.
19:11Okay.
19:12Right?
19:12I feel like I have a really good understanding of how we should be moving into the scene and
19:16out of the scene to make sure that we're getting the shots right for each of us in order to tell
19:21the story.
19:22Let's put these drinks over maybe on this table right here.
19:25This table.
19:25Sure.
19:26Rustin took charge.
19:27You have to think in a team mentality.
19:30You're only as good as your weakest link.
19:32So I want everyone to shine and bring it.
19:34Who is like your guys' leader right now?
19:36Is there like one designated leader between you guys?
19:38Is there someone that's kind of the director of the group or is it kind of a group project right
19:42now?
19:42It's like a group.
19:43We've all contributed a significant amount.
19:45Yeah.
19:46Robbie has ideas that he's bringing to the scene and I have ideas that I'm bringing to the scene.
19:50And it's more about just us navigating how those ideas work together.
19:54You guys want to run this really quick?
19:56Yeah.
19:56Let's give it a shot.
19:57What's up?
19:59Who brings eggs to a Christmas party?
20:01Deviled eggs.
20:02They're classic.
20:03And what did you bring?
20:04Brownies.
20:05Like a normal person.
20:06Oh, okay.
20:07Rustin and I have developed a backstory that I'm kind of like the tech brother who's like
20:12really always working all the time on his phone.
20:14And he's maybe like the music guy who's a little bit more artsy.
20:17And so it's a fun kind of specific dynamic that we've created.
20:21Really great to meet you guys.
20:22Um, yes.
20:23Okay.
20:23So Shane, these are my brothers.
20:25Thanks for letting me crash the neighborhood block party.
20:28Knowing that the boyfriend role doesn't have as much screen time as the brothers roles do,
20:33I have to make sure that all the screen time that I have really counts.
20:37If you're comfortable with it, because it says like a cute, sweet moment,
20:40like a little like nose thing, like before we walk away.
20:43Yeah, so it'd be like a little-
20:44Yeah, we can do that, yeah.
20:45Little nose.
20:45Yeah, yeah.
20:46Cute.
20:46And then, okay, I'll be right back.
20:48And we kind of talked about like a look between the three siblings.
20:51Like we all know these are-
20:52We all have a little bit of cookie left in the mouth.
20:53Okay.
20:54In this challenge, it's so important to bring our own creative perspective to this.
20:59And so I'm hoping that our ideas will play out really well.
21:03Great job.
21:04Your time's up.
21:04Go ahead and put your props down.
21:06Get back in place.
21:07It's time to do the scene.
21:08Thank you so much.
21:08We figured it out, and everybody was making sure that they were in front of their camera.
21:13I just got to make sure that I bring it in my own way.
21:15Davey, since you won the advantage, you can join Melissa and I at the monitors.
21:19Totally.
21:20It's great to be in the booth with Melissa and Jonathan,
21:23and I'm curious to see what they're going to come up with.
21:25All right, places, top of the show.
21:28Roll sound, roll camera.
21:30Everybody set, settle, and action.
21:35Who brings eggs to a Christmas party?
21:41Deviled eggs.
21:42They're a classic.
21:43What did you bring?
21:44Brownies, like a normal person.
21:46Oh, wow.
21:48Oh, it's Leah.
21:49She, uh, she says she's here.
21:54You've never met this guy, right?
21:55Nope, but 20 bucks says he's wearing a polo and khakis.
21:59Nah, my money's on, uh, stress jeans.
22:03You're on.
22:03Oh, all right.
22:06Okay.
22:07Do we even want to know what you two are shaking on?
22:11Merry Christmas.
22:12Hey, guys.
22:13Merry Christmas.
22:13Get over here, sis.
22:15Good to see you.
22:15Play of yourselves.
22:17Okay, uh, you guys, this is Shane.
22:20And Shane, these are my brothers.
22:22It's really great to meet you guys.
22:25Yeah, we're so happy to meet you.
22:29I want them to feel more like brothers.
22:30Yes.
22:31So, uh, what do you got there?
22:32Oh, cookies.
22:33I baked them myself.
22:34But you guys should probably know I've never actually used the oven.
22:37So I don't know if they're actually going to turn out very good.
22:40Oh, a risk taker.
22:41I like it.
22:42Hey, I am sure they're going to be delicious.
22:46Maybe you guys should try one before I set them out.
22:49Yeah?
22:50Oh.
22:50Yeah.
22:50Yeah.
22:53Come on, guys.
22:55Thanks.
22:55Yeah.
22:55Yeah.
23:00I love how they take their time.
23:01Milk this moment.
23:02Yeah.
23:02Yeah.
23:03Mm-hmm.
23:04Yeah?
23:04Mm-hmm.
23:05Yeah.
23:06These are...
23:09They're something.
23:11They're like nothing I've tasted before.
23:13They're so good.
23:16You guys are lying.
23:17They're terrible, aren't they?
23:19Mm-mm.
23:19Mm-mm.
23:20Mm-mm.
23:21Baby, they're...
23:22They're really...
23:23So good.
23:24Yeah.
23:24I'm just...
23:26Well, I'm really thirsty.
23:26Would you mind giving me something to drink?
23:28Sure thing.
23:31I'll be right back.
23:38Those were awful.
23:39What did he put in those?
23:42Rubbing alcohol?
23:43Oh, come on, you guys, please.
23:45I said to be nice.
23:46No, see, this is why I never introduce you to anybody.
23:49What do you mean?
23:50We're nice.
23:51We are always kind to your boyfriends.
23:53Really?
23:54Because the last time I brought a guy home for Christmas,
23:56you lured him into the backyard when the sprinkler system was on.
24:01That was an innocent mistake.
24:03How did we know that mom kept the sprinklers on in the middle of winter?
24:06Yeah.
24:07They almost feel like they're overacting a little bit, these two.
24:10Let me just go easy on him, please.
24:13I figured you guys could use one after having to eat those cookies.
24:17No!
24:17No!
24:18No!
24:18They're just like...
24:19Good, good.
24:19Guys, guys, guys, guys.
24:21It's okay.
24:23I forgot to put the sugar in the cookies.
24:27That tracks.
24:29It happens.
24:31It's the thought that counts, babe.
24:33What do you guys say we take a little selfie to commemorate me
24:36bombing the first introduction?
24:38All right.
24:39That's a great idea.
24:40I'll take it.
24:41Ready?
24:42Say Merry Christmas!
24:43Merry Christmas!
24:48Have fun with that.
24:48Your brothers look stupid.
24:50Go for it.
24:51Make me laugh.
24:51Funny.
24:51Make me laugh.
24:52Make us laugh.
24:52And I would like to propose a toast to new friends.
24:57Yeah, dude, don't worry about the cookies, man.
24:59We're happy to have you.
25:01Oh, thanks, guys.
25:03Okay, I'm going to send our selfie to everyone really quick.
25:09Really?
25:09You guys, that is so immature.
25:12Gosh, really?
25:14Hey, come back here.
25:16Oh, you are nothing but trouble.
25:17Hey, dude.
25:20I think I'm going to need another one of these.
25:24And cut!
25:25What did you learn?
25:27A lot.
25:29Take your time.
25:29Don't rush.
25:30Don't rush.
25:30Do you have brothers?
25:31Yeah.
25:32Yes.
25:32Do you guys give each other, like...
25:33Totally.
25:34Do that.
25:34We're going to be channeling through that.
25:35I want you and Craig to be the people that we love to hate.
25:38Yeah.
25:38Robbie and Rustin didn't necessarily bring the same kind of brotherly energy that I knew Craig
25:43and I were going to bring.
25:44So I think that'll play to our advantage.
25:47This is going to be fun.
25:48Yeah, yeah.
25:48Let's go.
25:49Have fun.
25:49Have fun.
25:49Have fun.
25:50You got this.
25:53Coming up...
25:54There was some sort of power struggle happening.
25:56Merry Christmas!
25:58Oh, I think it's raining, guys.
25:59One of you out-acted the other just by a hair.
26:09Bro, that was fast.
26:11Good, good.
26:11That was quick.
26:12The moment when we eat the cookies, like, really take your time.
26:16Taste the cookie.
26:18Yeah, rather than bite nasty.
26:20You got to taste it first.
26:21With the advantage, I also feel like comes with a little bit of extra pressure.
26:24There's probably going to be some expectations to perform.
26:27For the photo, photo bomb it, however big you can, you know, without, like, disrupting the scene.
26:33So I kind of hashed out some last minute things to prove to myself and to everybody else that I belong here.
26:39Hi, guys.
26:39Hey, ladies.
26:40Hey, team two.
26:41Davey, your team has 10 minutes to rehearse.
26:43Okay.
26:44Perfect.
26:44Good luck.
26:45Now, is there, like, a leader?
26:46Is everyone working together as a team?
26:48Working together as a team.
26:48Yeah, okay.
26:49Yeah.
26:50All right.
26:50I love it.
26:51Do you want to show me what you guys have planned so far?
26:53Yeah.
26:53Okay.
26:53Yeah.
26:54Going into rehearsal, I'm not worried about me.
26:57I want to make sure my guys are going to shine.
27:00If they start shining, Hunter and I are going to shine.
27:04Before we start the rehearsal, we need to find our marks because we have our cameras.
27:09Yeah, we should get our cameras.
27:10T-marks.
27:11And this is the why.
27:12I helped co-direct this short film.
27:15Having that experience, I know how to hit certain marks and make sure the camera can see us.
27:22She'll end right here and here and that way we both have our cameras.
27:25Okay.
27:25So it'll be kind of maybe one of these lines.
27:26Sure.
27:27I'm more or less letting Angel dictate a lot of the situation with this scene.
27:31Take the lead.
27:32Cool.
27:32Let's run it.
27:33That way we don't waste more time.
27:34Okay, cool.
27:35And I feel good about us.
27:37Ready?
27:37Yep.
27:38I want to immediately establish the fact that we are brothers.
27:41So we decided to improv a couple lines at the very top of the scene.
27:46Nice outfit, man.
27:46Did mom dress you up in that?
27:48Yeah, probably.
27:49You got a blazer, you running for office or what's going on?
27:52Watch the camera.
27:54What's going on?
27:54Craig and Davey, if you don't mind.
27:56Go ahead.
27:57Do your scene to your cameras, set this up and find a moment that brings you back here.
28:03Yeah, yeah.
28:04Looking at the space so then when we come in, you don't block our cameras.
28:07Yeah.
28:08You have to find your camera so it can see the faces.
28:11I'm starting to sweat.
28:12Not because of the weather, but because of how this is going to turn out.
28:18Nice outfit, man.
28:18Mom dress you up in that?
28:19Yeah, probably.
28:21There is a lot happening here.
28:23It's a group ensemble, a bunch of dialogue.
28:26Are you guys going to do the shake really quick too between the two of you?
28:29That was the moment.
28:29Right.
28:30That's okay.
28:30That's okay.
28:31Because I got to reference your shake.
28:34How did we forget that one?
28:35I'm just hoping that I can latch on and do the best I can.
28:38And Shane, these are my brothers.
28:40Shane.
28:40Hey, Shane.
28:41What's going on, Shane?
28:41It's great to meet you guys.
28:42Yeah.
28:43What do you got there?
28:45Cookies.
28:45I baked them myself.
28:47The success of a scene isn't just about one person.
28:49It's about all of us.
28:51So Craig and I are kind of trying to lean into the playful brother act
28:54without being overly obnoxious.
28:56Everybody say Merry Christmas.
28:58Merry Christmas.
29:00It finally started to come together.
29:02Ah.
29:03You guys are so immature.
29:05I guess I'm going to need another one of these.
29:08Here we go.
29:09Let's do it.
29:09Now we have to kind of bring this thing to life.
29:12I'm hoping we don't commit the same mistakes.
29:15And action.
29:17Hey dude, really loving that outfit.
29:19Did mom dress you up in that?
29:20Nope.
29:20Dressed myself.
29:21What's up with the blaze?
29:22Are you in your eggs running for office?
29:24Or, I mean, who brings eggs to a Christmas party?
29:26Deviled eggs.
29:27Literally classic.
29:28What do you got, brownies?
29:30Yeah.
29:31I got brownies.
29:31Like a normal person.
29:35Oh, it's Leah.
29:36Huh.
29:36She said they're here.
29:38Hey, have you actually met this guy?
29:40No.
29:40Uh, 20 bucks though says he's a polo khakis kind of guy.
29:45My money's on distressed jeans.
29:47Yeah.
29:48You're on.
29:49Oh, they're there.
29:49Oh, here.
29:50Hey.
29:50Do I even want to know what you two are shaking on?
29:52No, you don't.
29:53No, no, no.
29:54Okay, please behave.
29:55Yeah, yeah.
29:56You guys, this is Shane.
29:57Oh, Shane.
29:58Shane, these are my brothers.
30:00Hey guys.
30:00Shane, what's going on?
30:01Hey, Shane.
30:02How are you?
30:02It was really great to meet you guys.
30:04What do you got there?
30:05Some cookies?
30:05Cookies.
30:06Yeah, looks like it.
30:07Yeah, I baked them myself.
30:08All right.
30:09But I've never actually used my oven before, so I'm...
30:15Sure, why not?
30:17Thanks.
30:17Let me know what you think.
30:18Hmm.
30:21Wow.
30:23Mmm, that's...
30:25That's something.
30:26Mmm, yep.
30:27It's so good.
30:29Craig is so good.
30:30I'm a little thirsty.
30:30Would you mind getting me something to drink?
30:32Sure thing, baby.
30:34Okay.
30:34Oh!
30:36Davey is coming alive.
30:40It literally tastes like rubbing a bottle.
30:41I was nasty.
30:43You guys, no, come on.
30:44I said you had to be nice.
30:46See, this is why I never introduce you to anybody.
30:48We are nice.
30:49Really?
30:50Because the last guy that I brought home for Christmas, you lured him outside in the backyard
30:54when the sprinkler system was on.
30:55Whoa, that was an innocent mistake.
30:58I mean, how are we supposed to know that mom puts the sprinklers on in the winter?
31:00Who does that?
31:01Yeah.
31:02Okay, well, look, I really like him, so just...
31:04All right, all right, all right, all right.
31:05I figured everyone needed one after having to eat those cookies.
31:09I made an honest mistake.
31:10I forgot to put the sugar in.
31:13All right, it's an honest mistake, guys.
31:14All right, thanks.
31:15What do you say if we dish these cookies and the four of us take a selfie to commemorate
31:23me totally bombing our first introduction?
31:25Let's go for it.
31:26Yeah, yeah, go on that side.
31:27But I like that idea.
31:28Go on that side.
31:29All right, everyone say Merry Christmas.
31:31Merry Christmas!
31:32Oh, I think it's right, guys.
31:35Oh.
31:35Oh.
31:36He poured the drink on his head.
31:38Brilliant, Davey.
31:40Don't worry about the cookie thing.
31:41We're...
31:41Yeah.
31:42We're glad you're here.
31:43Thank you, guys.
31:44Like, you really are the best.
31:46Hey, okay, I'm gonna send the selfie to everybody real quick.
31:49Yeah.
31:52Come on, you guys.
31:53It's so immature.
31:54Really?
31:55Hey, get back here.
31:57Hey!
32:00I think I'm gonna need another one of these.
32:01Nice.
32:02And cut!
32:07There they are.
32:07Hey, guys.
32:08Hey!
32:08How you feeling?
32:10How'd it go?
32:11Oh, no.
32:12That's a confident looking guy right there.
32:13Yeah, yeah.
32:14I know, I know.
32:14How are you guys feeling?
32:15Hey, hey, hey.
32:16Bro, I always feel confident after.
32:19Davey's advantage really helped us out, and I think we crushed that scene.
32:22But Robbie, Rustin, and Marcus, they're really strong.
32:25So, I mean, this is a coin toss.
32:27As far as that selfie moment, I was pretending to spill my drink on Angel, and I actually spilled a little bit of it.
32:33After we were done with it, I was like, I hope my hair is okay.
32:35He was a great sport about that.
32:38Let's talk about team one, Robbie, Rustin, and Marcus.
32:43I felt like Marcus did a really good job playing that boyfriend role because the other two brought a lot of energy and a lot of strong choices.
32:49I do wish Marcus maybe brought up his energy just a little bit, like you said in that nervous.
32:55Yeah, matched the room.
32:55Matched the room a little bit.
32:56Robbie did feel like he was overacting.
32:59I wanted maybe to see that more, um, I actually love my sister.
33:04A little bit of a real moment like, you know what, we love you.
33:07A little bit more of that.
33:08Yeah, agreed.
33:09Now, for me, this was the first time where Rustin and Robbie, I felt, were disconnected in a scene.
33:15And I think it's because they had a little bit of a challenge with the leadership of this scene.
33:21It just felt like there was some sort of power struggle happening.
33:25Let's talk about team two.
33:27Davey, Craig, and Angel.
33:29There was a few times I thought that Davey could have, um, reacted more and stayed in it and filled the space.
33:34Yeah.
33:35Because Craig was giving him so much comedy, so much gold.
33:38He could have reacted to the other actors more in that scene.
33:43Agreed.
33:43Yeah.
33:43Agreed.
33:44Craig came in hot.
33:45I think he's so funny.
33:47And you know, I'm a sucker for a funny guy.
33:49The faces he made, the choices he made, did mom pick that out?
33:52That was really smart.
33:53I love that.
33:54It established their relationship immediately.
33:56He felt super present.
33:57I felt like that the whole time from him.
33:58I really enjoyed his performance.
34:00And what about Angel?
34:02He was a great team player.
34:04Yeah.
34:04The one thing with Angel is, I think sometimes he can lose a little bit of the momentum in the scene.
34:13Uh-huh.
34:14We have a big decision to make.
34:16But unfortunately, one of our guys has to go home.
34:19No.
34:19I don't want to.
34:21Good luck with it, Hunter.
34:22Good luck, Hunter.
34:22Oh, I have a tummy.
34:23We're leaving this decision to you.
34:24No, you stay right here.
34:25You stay right here.
34:26Bye-bye now.
34:27And you come with it.
34:27Bye-bye.
34:28Yeah, let's go.
34:28Bye-bye.
34:29Bye, Hunter.
34:29Bye.
34:30Have fun making the decision.
34:31All by yourself.
34:33I think we get rid of Jonathan, right?
34:36No?
34:36Okay.
34:46Walking into each elimination now, there's no more feeling safe.
34:50There's no more feeling confident.
34:52We're getting down to the nitty-gritty, and anyone can go at any time.
34:55Hello, gentlemen.
34:58One of you will be named this week's shining star, and one of you will be headed home for the holidays.
35:03In today's Star Quality Challenge, we asked you to work as a team, help each other shine, bring your own twist to the script, and show us your star quality.
35:14All while staying connected to each other and your incredible co-star, Hunter King.
35:18Hunter, how do you think the guys did?
35:20I think they all did a really great job. It was so much fun getting to work with them and watch them grow as actors.
35:27There can only be one shining star tonight.
35:29And that person was a team player, used their gift of acting to elevate their co-stars,
35:38and the person that added comedy along with believability when it came to portraying brothers.
35:47The winner of the Star Quality Challenge and tonight's shining star is...
35:55Craig, congratulations.
35:56Oh dear.
35:57I think you really shined in that scene, and you had great instincts.
36:12I thought I was gone, man.
36:15I've been doing this a long time now.
36:19You audition, and you audition, and you audition, and you audition, and you audition, and you audition.
36:22It gets exhausting.
36:25Yeah.
36:26Well, congratulations. You were very, very funny in this scene.
36:30Thank you. Thank you.
36:32Angel and Davey.
36:34You're safe.
36:37Rustin.
36:39Marcus.
36:40Robbie.
36:42One of you will be going home.
36:46Okay.
36:46Robbie, how do you feel this challenge was for you today?
36:49Right at the beginning, I thought that there maybe should be one voice, but then I thought,
36:55actually, for this, it was really nice to work collaboratively with my team, for us all to have a say.
37:01Rustin, tell me about the part you played in your team.
37:04I felt that Robbie and I were really in sync. There was a lot of overlap that made it feel like we were both
37:10really like on the same page. I felt like Marcus was such a team player, and he had some great
37:15collaborative recommendations. And I almost felt like watching you guys interact with each other
37:22gave me that thing to act off of. Okay.
37:24Yeah.
37:25That makes sense.
37:29Rustin.
37:32Robbie.
37:34Will you please step down?
37:35In today's challenge, you both were at fault for competing with each other when we asked to work
37:42as a team. That leaves us to judge you purely on your acting in the scene today. And one of you
37:50out-acted the other just by a hair. One of you will be going home right now.
38:00I'm not ready to go home. I want to stay here.
38:03My palms are sweaty. I'm so close to having a dream, like a slip through my fingertips.
38:09Unfortunately...
38:16Robbie, it's time to take your stocking down. You're going home for the holidays.
38:26This has been like a life-changing experience. You have been such an important person to me for so
38:31long and to have been picked by you to come here is beyond my wildest dreams.
38:39And I just want to make you proud.
38:42You made me proud and you made our community proud.
38:58That means the world to me. Yes.
39:00Give it up for Robbie.
39:10The thing that I didn't know about being here is just how close I was going to feel with the other guys.
39:15They're so wonderful. And to be accepted by all of these guys is so meaningful.
39:21I know it seems cliche, but you have to follow your dreams. You have to go do it. You have one life.
39:27You have to shoot for the moon. And if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
39:30I didn't make it to the moon, but I'm definitely landing among the stars.
39:37We're at the stage now of splitting hairs, so you've got to bring it to every challenge.
39:42We'll see you next time as we continue the search to find Mr. Christmas.
39:51I don't think anybody saw this one coming. Robbie has been a big time player from day one.
39:57We're down to the final five now. This is serious. It's anyone's game.
