02:45Hey guys, welcome back to the workshop.

02:48Eight of you are standing strong in the competition, but only one of you will walk out of here with a leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned Mr. Christmas.

03:00One of the best parts about Christmas are the baked goods.

03:03Every season you can count on sweet shortbread, my favorite, the festive fruitcake, and the holiday headliner, the gingerbread house.

03:13Yeah.

03:14In this festive face-off, each of you will be given a cookie foundation to build your magical manor.

03:20Don't get me wrong.

03:21I love my cookies, but building a gingerbread house, there's a lot of fine little details in there.

03:27When your gingerbread house is done, you will have to put it on the table to make a gingerbread village.

03:32Whoo.

03:33Okay.

03:34I actually have some experience building gingerbread houses.

03:38So watch out guys.

03:39I'm coming for y'all.

03:40We want you to create a house that reflects you and your holiday spirit.

03:45Let's find out something new about you by looking at your gingerbread house.

03:49You will not only be judged by the quality of your craft, but also the story behind your house.

03:55The holiday homestead that stands out the most wins and gets an advantage going into the star quality challenge.

04:31My mom used to get this when we would go on, like, trips, especially when we go to see family for, like, Christmas time.

04:37So what are you doing? Why'd you go with the red licorice?

04:40I'm making a red schoolhouse.

04:42Oh.

04:43Christmas for me is all about your loved ones and your chosen family.

04:46I had a drama mentor when I was in high school, and I want to make this as an homage to him.

04:52You know, the teachers, like, have, like, such a huge part on your life.

04:55Yeah, no, that's a great idea.

04:56So for this challenge, the first thing I think of is my girlfriend.

04:59My girlfriend, she absolutely loves gingerbread houses. She'll buy them, she'll build them.

05:04She's bringing the house to life, you know?

05:05Christmas tree in the front, me and my girlfriend in the front.

05:08I want to go with something that feels like the house that I grew up in.

05:13I knew right off the bat my gingerbread house had to be a white Christmas.

05:17Seeing these lights here makes me think of putting up Christmas lights.

05:20It was mostly my dad, actually, growing up.

05:22But when we got old enough, that was our holiday chore, putting up Christmas lights with my brothers.

05:27Now, being a dad, last year was the first year I put Christmas lights up on my own house.

05:31And I can't wait to continue that tradition with my own son.

05:34Are you going to teach soda about Santa?

05:37For sure.

05:38How long are you going to take it?

05:39Until he's in high school.

05:42Everyone here is different, has a different background, and has a different story.

05:47I wanted to add a lot of color to my gingerbread house.

05:50When I was young, cereal was one thing I always ate.

05:53I'm putting cereals in the roof, little by little, but it's taking a long time.

05:59The thing is, would I be able to finish the roof?

06:02Okay, you're bringing out the popcorn.

06:06So long, why is this so long?

07:46You bring me into rooms with all of the best looking men.

07:49You know, it's a tough day at work.

07:50This is a really hard day at work.

07:51So today, we're looking for the guy that built their gingerbread house with love, a personal story, and Christmas spirit.

07:58So Frank Lloyd, Mr. Right Now.

08:00Yeah.

08:01Oh, okay.

08:04Davey, tell us about your gingerbread house.

08:06We put lights on the house every year, and there are gingerbread people around my house representing my mom, my dad, my two brothers and I.

08:13You made the gingerbread house a home.

08:15I did.

08:16Great job.

08:18Thanks.

08:19Angel.

08:20The snow reminds me when I moved to the United States.

08:22I've never seen snow in my life.

08:24The cereal on the side of the roof just reminds me when my mom had multiple jobs.

08:30She's a single mother.

08:31She worked really hard to make sure my sister and I have a roof over our heads and presents for Christmas.

08:39So she left me at home by myself, and I just ate a bunch of cereal.

08:45When I was running out of time, towards the end, I don't know if you can see, he looks different from the beginning.

08:50Oh, we saw.

08:51We saw you throwing the snow on there.

08:53Angel, great job.

08:55Robbie.

08:56So I wanted to make this schoolhouse.

08:58In front, there are two gingerbread men, and that is me and my drama mentor.

09:04I think that we're such a product of our teachers.

09:06They shape who we are today, and so I really wanted to celebrate him.

09:10He taught me so much about the craft of acting.

09:13He also had a husband, and so it was the first role model that I met that had a beautiful life and just really shaped the life that I wanted as a gay man moving forward, and I'm really grateful for him.

09:24Robbie, well done.

09:25Rustin, there is so much going on in this gingerbread house.

09:30Half of a roof is gone.

09:32What village is complete without a theater?

09:34So if you look at the very back, there's a stage built in there.

09:37Oh my God, there it is.

09:38And rows of audience members that are watching.

09:40My whole family was in a Christian worship band, and I had the worst stage fright, and so my dad, he built a stage in our house so that we could practice what it was like to perform for an audience so that we could gain more confidence.

09:54My dad asked me if I wanted him to build a tree house, and I was like, no, can you build a stage in the basement?

09:59Oh!

10:00Which is what he did.

10:01And when parents understand that they have a child that performs and they just embrace it, it helps those kids shine so much, and I can see it in you.

10:11Logan, tell us a bit about your gingerbread house.

10:15The fireplace when I was a kid, being by a warm fireside opening presents, I don't know, I could just picture it every time I think about Christmas.

10:24Love it.

10:25That is so sweet.

10:26And I do love the ice cream cone as the chimney.

10:28That's really clever.

10:31Gabriel?

10:32My house is a mix between a lot of memories from childhood, the seashells on the roof. We used to go to Newport every Christmas, and it was a really good part of my childhood.

10:42My girlfriend Andrea, she just had our first child, Jory. I just remember Christmases being the best time ever, and I want that for my daughter.

10:51So sweet.

10:52Craig, what is happening here, Craig? I want the story. I need to know. Kick it.

10:59Now, I'm not a rapper, per se. I just have the ability to rap.

11:24This is a 1990s gingerbread house. I was born in 91, and for me, Christmas is all about being a kid. You'll notice a cartoon taking place.

11:38So this was my favorite game in the 90s. Jonathan.

11:54My girlfriend loves gingerbread houses, so right there at the front, we have me and my girlfriend at the house breeding everybody with our Christmas tree.

12:01We have a horse symbolizing like a stable. My girlfriend loves animals. That's for her. And on the other side, we have stuff for my girlfriend's lake house, which is actually the first time I told my girlfriend that I loved her.

12:11Your girlfriend rides horses.

12:13She loves horses, yes.

12:14Do you love horses?

12:15You know, I've actually never ridden a horse.

12:18But then you have a horse on your display to show your girlfriend, and then you have the lake house part of it from your girlfriend's lake house.

14:26It's hard to talk about, but she was very supportive of me, like, go do it.

16:12My mom and my grandma were both bucked off a horse, which doesn't necessarily give me a lot of confidence.

16:19Your connection with your leading lady, your ability to work with animals, and as always, star quality.

16:25But before we saddle up, Robbie, because you were at the top of the nice list in the festive face-off,

35:44With him, not for a second was I nervous.

35:46He felt like you were in good hands.

35:53He wanted to make it his own.

36:16But I felt sort of like he sort of stepped on me

36:19by saying, like, hey, will you get that for me?

36:21And you were like, I'm already getting it.

36:22And I was sort of like, dude, I already got it.

36:24I'm nervous.

36:25Not going to lie.

36:25It was the challenge for sure

36:27because the horses are kind of unpredictable.

36:30Now let's talk about who struggled.

36:32Now, Craig is, you know, our very confident hunk.

36:34I felt a little nerves from Craig.

36:36When the horse, you know, didn't cooperate,

36:38as we warned him,

36:39he definitely allowed it to sort of fluster him a tiny bit.

36:43I forgot what the line was.

36:45Then I internally panicked.

36:47I was like, oh no, oh no.

36:48And then we had Logan.

36:50It felt a little bit like he was nervous about the cameras.

36:53Just didn't have that comfort with how to hit your mark.

36:55Didn't feel intentional.

36:57So then let's talk about Gabriel.

36:59There's something with Gabriel where I want him to lock in

37:01because when those glimpses happen, they're great.

37:04But there's so many cracks between the glimpses of greatness.
