00:14As part of a multi-year deal with Apple, the Emmy award-winning former writer, producer, and host of The Daily Show

00:20is set to front an all-new current event series for the streaming service.

00:24The show, which will run for multiple seasons, puts Stewart back in the anchor's chair

00:28as he explores a host of topics at the center of both the national conversation and his own advocacy work.

00:35Stewart is also set to executive produce the hour-long series, which is still untitled.

00:39The new series thrusts Apple TV Plus into the national dialogue in a richer way

00:43and joins another timely interview series at the streamer, The Oprah Conversation.

00:48Also part of the pact, Stewart and his busboy productions will have a first-look deal

00:53for other projects to be developed and produced for Apple.
