00:00And Joe, it is called the game that they're going to play at noon today, just like they do traditionally.
00:04Ohio State and Michigan, line opens up as a 10.5 point favorite.
00:08We're still sitting at 10.5 at most outlets.
00:10Some 10s are starting to float across the sports landscape, but a total, Joe, from 42.5 up slightly to 43.5.
00:17Cold temperatures, really good defense.
00:20Love to see it, Joe.
00:21Let's start the breakdown now.
00:22Yeah, I mean, think about this.
00:24Michigan has owned the series.
00:25They won four straight over the Buckeyes by 11.5 points per game.
00:29We know that Michigan can run the football, averaging 223 yards on the ground.
00:34Bryce Underwood, passing attack, haven't really gotten going as much.
00:38They're averaging 196 passing yards heading into this matchup, Donnie.
00:43But it comes down to the Ohio State defense.
00:45This is one of the top defenses in the nation, holding opposing offenses to only 70 points per game, 80 rushing yards per game, 2.6 yards per carry.
00:54And, oh, by the way, 126 passing yards per game.
00:58And they're holding opposing quarterbacks to only 60% completion percentage, have only given up five touchdowns.
01:04Here's the matchup.
01:05They've won 10 straight, 11 straight games, excuse me.
01:10Ohio State, after game one to Texas, where they allowed basically 155 yards on the ground, every opponent after that under 100 yards.
01:18Do you believe that Michigan's going to be able to pound the rock for the way they did last year, $1.50, $1.70 on this defense right now?
01:27If so, then take the 10.5 points.
01:29Because it's a rivalry game, I lean reluctantly to the 10.5.
01:34I don't love it.
01:35I think Bryce Underwood's going to have to make some plays.
01:38I do feel it's an under the 43.5.
01:40That is the only way they can win this game.
01:44I do feel Julian Sane and this offense have the advantage because of the both wide receivers, Tate and Jeremiah Smith coming back.
01:52And, again, they are more complete on every aspect.
01:56In order for Michigan to be in this number, they need to win the turnover battle, run the football.
02:01That's easier said than done.
02:02Because when I look, Joe, at Ohio State, I do think they're the best defense in the country.
02:06But also understand this.
02:07When I'm looking at their schedule, they played Texas to open up.
02:11If you just look at the schedule going through and the teams that are ranked right now, the only one that is ranked is Texas, who had a nice win yesterday and came in 16th.
02:18You're talking about a lot of bottom feeders that they really beefed up and got after.
02:21But also for me, if I'm breaking the game down, I say, well, how can I take Michigan?
02:26Joe is right.
02:27Hey, there's no way they can line up and just play rock'em, sock'em, robot, and win.
02:30They did that last year.
02:31And not as talented Michigan team absolutely was more physical than Ohio State last year and got that victory.
02:36On the road.
02:37But I see this year and I say, okay, if Ohio State's defense is exactly, Joe, what we think it is, you're one-dimensional already for Michigan.
02:44You can't win one-dimensional.
02:46Like, Underwood's got nine touchdown passes on the year.
02:48Joe, he has to throw at least, at least two touchdowns in this game for them to be competitive.
02:54And I don't think he can do it.
02:55Well, that's the key aspect.
02:57If you're back in Michigan, it's not so much, and I believe, Bryce Underwood threw the air.
03:02You need to utilize his versatility.
03:04When you look at Ohio State overall, really haven't played a lot of mobile quarterbacks in the Big Ten.
03:09That's where his athleticism can be an attribute.
03:12Can Jerome Moore and that offensive staff utilize it and put in some RPOs to put pressure on Ohio State on the edge
03:20and then open up play action, and then now you have Chung plays?
03:23You only need one or two of those.
03:25The problem is, when you look at Ohio State, Donnie, their FBS wins, and I took out the Yotta Conference games,
03:31the FBS wins, they've won by an average margin of victory, 26.3 points per game.
03:38There's only one team on their schedule this year over the 11 games that has thrown for over 200 yards.
03:44That was Illinois.
03:45So, more time, we know that Ohio State's going to come to play.
03:50They're most likely going to force Bryce Underwood into long third downs.
03:54Can he make plays?
03:56That's where, can Michigan adjust?
03:58You can't play the way you did against Northwestern a couple weeks ago where you turn on the dial
04:02and they're up 23-22 with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, right?
04:07This needs to really be a Michigan attack that takes chances.
04:12I don't know if they could do that.
04:13I know they're playing at home.
04:14I know they've won four straight, all the pressure on Ohio State in this game.
04:18But if you're just looking at the X's and O's aspect, significant advantage to Ohio State on both sides of the ball,
04:25and that's why we're seeing a 10.5-point number.
04:27Again, I reluctantly lean to the 10.5, but I do feel it's an under again.
