Everything Everywhere All At Once and The White Lotus walked away as some of the big winners, Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan made history and Sally Field gave an empowering speech. It all went down at the 2023 SAG Awards.

00:04Michelle Yeoh and Kiwi Kwan made history, and Sally Field gave an empowering speech.

00:10It all went down at the 2023 SAG Awards.

00:13The SAG telecast kick-started its ceremony on Sunday night with a cold open from Only Murders

00:18in the Building stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short, the latter two who were slightly

00:24testy over being nominated in the same category.

00:26Hey guys, what's up?

00:27Steve doesn't want to be my friend, and he's threatening to cut off his second fingers.

00:32So no more banjo?

00:34Aw.

00:34The show then segued into their traditional I'm an Actor segment, where a number of stars,

00:39including Niecy Nash, Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, Janelle James, and Quinta Brunson

00:44introduced themselves, their professions, and how they got their start in Hollywood.

00:49Everything, Everywhere, All at Once earned the night's top prize, winning the SAG Award

00:53for Best Ensemble, the Guild's top honor that's equivalent to a Best Picture

00:57prize.

00:58And, guys!

01:05On the film side of things, Brendan Fraser and Michelle Yeoh took home the big honors

01:09for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama, respectively.

01:22Sally Field, you said all the right things because we're here because we love what we do.

01:28Yo and co-star Kiwi Kwan, who also won for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal in

01:33Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, made history at the SAG Awards, becoming the first

01:37Asian actress and actor to win in their respective categories.

01:41Recently, I was told that if I were to win tonight, I would become the very first Asian actor to

01:51win in this category.

01:53Jamie Lee Curtis also snagged the win for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Everything,

01:58Everywhere, All at Once, and gave a moving speech about growing up in a family of actors,

02:03and even made a reference to the hotly discussed Nepo Babies.

02:07But the truth of the matter is I'm 64 years old and this is just amazing!

02:13On the TV side, Abbott Elementary took home the award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series

02:18and the White Lotus cast for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.

02:22As for the stars, winners included Gene Smart for Hacks, Jeremy Allen White for The Bear,

02:28Jason Bateman for Ozark, and awards season darling Jennifer Coolidge for The White

02:33Lotus.

02:33You know, you can give money to friends and do nice things for them, but, you know, and

02:38people love money, you know, and I do it whenever I can, you know, when your friends are broke,

02:42you can give money and stuff, but you know what people really, the best gift you can give

02:45someone is to change someone's perspective for the better and view life in a different

02:50way, and that's what Mike White did for me.

02:52Elsewhere, Andrew Garfield introduced Sally Field with the Life Achievement Award, calling

02:56her a North Star.

02:58I was a little white girl with a pug nose, born in Pasadena, California, and when I look

03:05around this room tonight, I know my fight, as hard as it was, was lightweight compared

03:15to some of yours.
