Debbie Allen, one of the honorees at the Academy Governors Awards Gala, reveals she celebrated and danced with fellow honoree Tom Cruise last night while chatting with THR on the carpet. Plus, she shares where she plans to put her Oscar!

00:03How are you feeling?

00:04I feel fantastic.

00:06I got my whole family with me, so I feel great.

00:09We had a great party last night, so we're trying to recover from last night.

00:14Oh my, I'm still on the dance floor with Tom Cruise.

00:17Tell me about that and getting him out dancing with you.

00:21Well, you know, he was there also with Wynn Thomas, the other honoree,

00:25and it was a full house, and all of my friends and people that are part of my life

00:31and career were there to celebrate, and it was joyful.

00:34We had D-Nice there, the DJ rocking us.

00:38A Different World was there, Grey's Anatomy was there, Fame was there,

00:41and all of my friends that I loved so much, and my sister was there with me.

00:46So it was pretty hot. I think we've got to do another one soon.

00:50It was good.

00:52Where are you going to put this Oscar? Do you have it planned?

00:55Child, I don't know if I'm going to put it anywhere.

00:57I think I'm going to walk around and carry it.

00:59Do you have it universal?

01:02Well, I had said I was going to wear my Kennedy Center honor,

01:05just so these children would remember who's who,

01:08but right now I might have to do a little combination.

01:11That's a pretty powerful combination.

01:14Well, I would go a little whileA.

01:20I think nosso family were going to run away.

01:24Maybe tonight.

01:26We want to do the right thing so we can make them happy.
