00:04A new behind-the-scenes featurette for the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan film Tenet
00:09gives a better glimpse of what audiences are in store for while also making a case for why the movie needs the theatrical experience.
00:16It's something that you have to see on the screen to fully engage with.
00:20Nearly ten minutes long, the video, which dropped Wednesday on the Warner Bros. YouTube page,
00:24shows some new footage along with cast and crew interviews.
00:27The film deals with this concept of inversion, which is the idea that the entropy of an object or person could be reversed.
00:34But to make it sing to today's audiences, I sort of felt like for me to really engage with it, I wanted it to have bigger possibilities.
00:42In another section of the feature, the actors and crew talk about the experience and importance of filming with IMAX cameras.
00:48It's a very imposing camera. It feels very important when you're shooting something on IMAX.
00:53The feature also highlights Nolan's insistence on in-camera effects and filming locations that span the globe.
00:59With Tenet, I'm hoping to really give the audience a reason for re-approaching action cinema.
01:05Tenet opens Wednesday in select U.S. theaters beginning September 3rd.
