00:04The actor will top-line an adaptation of the book The Changeling, which is a horror story,

00:08parenthood fable, and perilous odyssey through a New York many didn't know existed, and

00:13described as a fairy tale for grown-ups.

00:16Stanfield will also executive produce the project, which was picked up straight to series

00:19at Apple TV+.

00:21First published in 2017, The Changeling was one of the New York Times Book Review's 100

00:26notable books of the year, and won Horror Awards and a World Fantasy Award.

00:30Kelly Marcelle of Cruella, Venom, and Venom 2 will adapt the book and serve as showrunner.

00:35Stanfield's new series joins a rapidly growing roster of high-profile, star-studded scripted

00:39originals at Apple, like The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, The

00:44Shrink Next Door with Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell, and many others.

00:47As for Stanfield, his credits included Lana, Knives Out, and Judas and the Black Messiah,

00:52for which he received an Oscar nomination.
