00:00Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, and Matthew Rhys are set to head the ensemble of a new Apple TV Plus anthology series.
00:07The eight-episode Apple TV Plus drama titled Extrapolations comes from writer Scott Z. Burns of Contagion and The Report,
00:14as well as Media Res, the production company behind The Morning Show.
00:18The star-studded cast also includes Sienna Miller, Jemma Chan, Tahar Rahim, David Diggs, David Schwimmer, and Adarsh Gaurav,
00:25with additional actors to be announced.
00:27The Apple series centers around climate change and is currently in production.
00:32It will tell interconnected stories about how the upcoming changes to the planet will affect love, faith, work, and family.
00:38Burns said,
00:39The only thing we know for sure about the future is that we are all going there together,
00:42and we're taking with us our hopes, our fears, our appetites, our creativity, our capacity for love, and our predilection to cause pain.
00:50These are the same tools that storytellers have been using since the beginning of time.
00:54Our show is just using them to keep time from running out.
00:56As for the cast's roles, Miller will play a marine biologist,
00:59Harrington plays the CEO of an industrial giant,
01:02Rahim plays a man struggling with memory loss,
01:05Reese will play a real estate developer,
01:06Diggs plays a rabbi in South Florida,
01:08Chan plays a single mother and microfinance banker,
01:11Schwimmer plays the father of a teenage daughter,
01:13and Gaurav plays a driver for hire.
