Abby Elliot tells THR about her character in season 2 of 'The Bear' on the red carpet for the 2024 Golden Globes and expresses her excitement to be a first-time nominee.

00:00How does it feel to be here tonight as a first-time nominee?

00:02I mean, it's absolutely insane.

00:04It's so exciting, so incredible.

00:06I feel so just lucky.

00:08The women in the category that I'm in are just extraordinary.

00:13We got Meryl, we got J. Smith-Cameron, Debicki, Christina Ricci.

00:19Like, I'm huge fans of all of them,

00:20so to be, like, even in the same sentence is just insane.

00:24And Hannah Waddingham.

00:25I know, I think Meryl could break her own record tonight.

00:28Okay, well.

00:31But that feels like instead of just nerve-wracking for you,

00:33it's just really exciting.

00:34It's really exciting.

00:35And, like, I'm just, again, just happy to be along for the ride.

00:40What was it like getting to show more of your character

00:42in season two of The Bear?

00:44It was amazing.

00:45I was really pregnant in IRL while we were shooting,

00:50so the fact that they wrote that in was just, like,

00:52it was just perfect,

00:53and I think it made her character have some more depth

00:56and have some conflict, you know,

00:57especially with seeing where Carmi and Natalie's came from,

01:03their parents.

01:05So, yeah, I think, you know,

01:08her being pregnant and feeling conflicted in her own family

01:12was really, like, fun to play and really,

01:15well, actually not fun to play,

01:17but, you know, we went there.

01:19Definitely interesting and exciting as an actor.

01:22Very.

01:23Now, for you, in season three,

01:26what would you love to see happen for Sugar?

01:29Well, I'm really interested in seeing Sugar as a new mom

01:32and coping with, you know, all of the baggage that she has

01:35and, you know, also trying to take care of a little one

01:38and also working at the restaurant

01:41and feeling torn about, you know,

01:42where her, you know, putting her time into the restaurant

01:46and her family, too, so.

01:48And also Pete's, the relationship with Pete as well, too.

01:52I'm interested in seeing more of that.

01:53And, of course, this is the party

01:55that kicks off awards season, the Golden Globes.

01:57Who from the Bear crew do you think

01:59is going to party the hardest tonight?

02:02Oh, um, jeez, I don't,

02:06I don't know.
