'Severance' star Britt Lower chatted with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet of the 2023 Golden Globes.

00:00We're here at the Golden Globes tonight, and it is the party that kicks off awards season.

00:04Who do you think from the Severance crew is going to be partying the hardest tonight?

00:08Oh my goodness, that's such a good question.

00:10I mean, should I just say myself?

00:13You can, sure.

00:14I'm the only one that I have control over, so me?

00:18And for you, how does it feel to be here?

00:20Yeah, it's such a pleasure to celebrate the show, to get to talk about it,

00:25and yeah, to be here with all these incredible artists, it's amazing.

00:28I have to ask about season two.

00:31When you first read season two scripts, what was your reaction?

00:36I can't tell you anything.

00:38Were you shocked, surprised?

00:40Yes.

00:42And how has it felt to be back on set?

00:45It's great.

00:46There's just a sense of excitement that we're getting to revisit the story,

00:51to step back into the character's shoes, literally and metaphorically,

00:56and to come back with this sense of like, wow, the fans have received the show

01:03with such warmth and curiosity.

01:05We're just, there's a lot of integrity with which we're approaching the season

01:11so that we really deliver.

01:13Severance, I feel like, is a show that would be great for guest stars to pop into,

01:18maybe make a little cameo.

01:19Who would be your dream guest star on the show?

01:21Well, we already have an incredible new set of cast members,

01:26and I'm like geeking out about all of them.

01:29So honestly, that's all I can think about is the new cast.

01:33They're really dynamite.

01:35The Golden Globe celebrates the best of TV and movies, of course.

01:39You're here for a TV show, but is there one movie you saw this year that you loved?

01:43I mean, everything, everywhere, all at once.

01:47I watched it in a theater with, I was performing in a circus this summer,

01:51and me and the cast from the circus went to go see the movie,

01:55and to watch that particular film alongside circus performers was like a memory I'll never forget.

02:02I have to ask more about that.

02:04Tell me about performing in the circus.

02:05How did this come about?

02:06What were you doing?

02:07I played a character named Steven, who was a paranormal detective

02:12and played the ukulele when she was feeling scared.

02:15It was part of this circus in St. Louis called Circus Flora,

02:19a one-ring American circus,

02:22and it was a lifelong dream to run away with one, so I did it.

02:26That's amazing. I love that.

02:27And here we are at the Golden Globes tonight, you know, accomplishing another dream.

02:31Now, I asked you about, you know, partying the hardest at the show,

02:33but of course there's also the after party.

02:35Who do you think from the cast would be the last one on the dance floor at the after party?

02:40Should I just say me again?

02:42I don't know. This is my first time at the Golden Globes,

02:44so I really have no idea what to expect.

02:47I'm going to stay hydrated, though, honestly.

02:49That's a good move.

02:50And I have to ask, given the controversy surrounding the HFPA,

02:54were you nervous to come at all tonight, or did you have any hesitations?

02:58I'm just excited to celebrate the show

03:01and to be here with all these other incredible artists.
