Transcript
00:00How does it feel to be here tonight presenting at the Golden Globes?
00:02It was great. What an honor. It feels amazing.
00:05I mean, I just love being around all these talented people.
00:07It's so fun. See them all in one room, hanging out, having a good time,
00:10winning awards. They're throwing awards out and shit. It's great.
00:14What's a movie you saw this year, this past year, that you especially loved?
00:18Well, you know, I loved Barbie.
00:21I saw that with my wife, and I didn't know what to expect.
00:24I knew it was going to be great because I love those actors, and I love Greta.
00:27I knew it was going to be great, but I didn't expect it to be that stylized.
00:31Somehow, I don't know why I didn't expect that.
00:33But also, I mean, that was like laugh out loud funny at times.
00:36Really funny. I mean, what a movie.
00:39Yeah, that's a standout for me, I think.
00:41I could see you playing a Ken in a future Barbie movie.
00:44I just envisioned it right now. How do you feel about that?
00:46I feel great about that. I mean, I would make the time for that.
00:49That would be great. I just, what a great time that would be,
00:52singing and dancing and hooting and hollering. That'd be fun.
00:55Now, you have a new show coming up. Can you tell me a little bit about it?
00:58Yeah, Tracker. My new show premieres right after the Super Bowl on CBS.
01:04Good spot.
01:06What a time slot, I was going to say.
01:07It's a great time slot. We don't know exactly what time it's going to be after the Super Bowl,
01:11but as soon as the Super Bowl is over, we'll premiere.
01:14My character, I developed this with Ken Olin a few years ago.
01:18There's a book called The Never Game by Jeffrey Deaver,
01:21and he wrote this book about this character, Coulter Shaw,
01:24who had parents that, well, his father in particular,
01:29kind of went a little extreme with his childhood, went a little bit, you know,
01:33he's paranoid, took everybody off the grid, and they become survivalists.
01:38And Coulter now, as an adult, uses all those skills to go around the country
01:40and help people out find missing persons and missing objects
01:43and solve cases and things like that.
01:46So each episode is sort of its own story?
01:48We've got both. We've got each episode is kind of its own story,
01:51and then also throughout the series,
01:52you start to learn a little bit more about Coulter, his past.
01:55There's a bunch of mysteries that involve his family that he's not even aware of.
01:59You know, he sort of unpacks that as the series goes on.
02:01It's very, very interesting.
02:02Sort of like a thriller, mystery, action show.
02:06We're excited to see it, and something from you on TV
02:08that we haven't really seen before.
02:10Yeah, it's good for me because it's a different kind of character,
02:13and I think it's good for me also as an actor, as a producer,
02:17to build something that I haven't seen that character at all before.
02:22It's such a unique character, so it's good in every way.
02:25Now, this is the party that kicks off awards season.
02:28After the show tonight, are you headed to an after party,
02:30or are you just heading home?
02:32Well, I have to work tomorrow.
02:34Yeah, so I might have to get on a flight or something.
02:36But, yeah, I'll try to hit one. I'll try to hit one.
02:39I mean, come on. It's going close. You've got to go to one, right?
