00:07can you settle a debate for me because i brought it up earlier with the great tie law

00:12with regard to uh florida and food and thanksgiving uh have you ever heard of swamp cabbage

00:21i'm told it's a delicacy down there

00:35oh i didn't oh well well my family doesn't cook it at least well that's unfortunate i haven't heard

00:44about it yeah you got them gator nuggets down there though yeah gator nuggets i know about that

00:51i mean can't you just play along and say you know about it for the show

00:55yeah no i do i do know about gator nuggets

00:59yes you do yes you do pop what's your favorite side for thanksgiving

01:05macaroon cheese there you go there you go yeah love that macaroni and cheese absolutely i love

01:14macaroni and cheese man my wife puts a little brown puts a little brown sugar in there wiggy's wife

01:19she calls it black mac and she puts brown sugar in it i never had it until uh talena made it for us

01:27and it's unbelievable pop i need to i need to try that uh can i get a uh get some yeah uh locker yeah

01:37yeah i'll i'll i'll have a i'll have a hook the whole whole team up with some i'm telling you once

01:42you had that man you're gonna be like damn i ain't never had no yeah we need yeah we appreciate

01:48that i got you um so uh certainly want to talk about last week but i before we get to that um

01:55you guys are doing something really cool today are on your day off and um it's so important when it

02:02comes to taking care of others in the community and uh this turkey drive is going to be going on

02:09today in fact i think are you guys you on your way now to stop number one is that what's going on

02:14uh about to be okay about to uh leave after this after uh we talk okay um and the object here is to

02:23get as many turkeys out as you can to uh to those who know yes sir are you are you now you told us what

02:32you drive uh a while ago vehicle wise are you delivering the turkeys in your vehicle or how are

02:38you guys doing this no no i'm not uh i'm gonna go to the boys and girls clubs go to the boys and

02:47girls clubs and you know uh hand out turkeys there good job good job how did an idea like this come to

02:53fruition pop was this your idea did somebody come to you with it no i've i've always uh loved doing

03:01turkey drives but you know my uh business managers you know uh they love giving back into

03:06you know here too so i did mine's back at home and then they came up with you know giving back here

03:13too you know a lot of families you know need help and uh wow it's a blessing to be a blessing

03:19that's a really good job i want to ask you something about the game because you know i was

03:26sitting there and i was watching this play on that big third down catch that you made

03:30walk me through what you saw and you know how you made such a great play it looked like you were going

03:37down the seam route yeah uh i seen a middle open uh i took it it was just you know uh me and the

03:45linebacker both for the safeties were well outside of the hashes so uh you know i took the middle and

03:51you know uh drake believed in me threw me the ball and uh you know for the opportunity you got to make

03:57that play you know i got a little bit of opportunity so you know i got to make the bit uh the best of

04:01it seen the ball and i needed that ball it is really uh how bad you want it type ball coach rabel

04:09addressed you specifically in the locker room after the win and then we talked to him um just yesterday

04:14about that and he basically said it changed the momentum of the game did you feel that in the moment

04:19no most definitely uh you know uh very was harping on you know us you know uh somebody gotta make a

04:27play you know uh it's gotta come you know and uh our energy gotta come up so you know uh seeing that

04:33ball and they i just you know it had to make that play and uh it gave us it did give us a little energy

04:38we uh well mark got a pick and then we started just going crazy after that it started uh clicking

04:45pop could could one call that a may meant may momentum changer when it comes to when it comes

04:53to that game that's that's tough that's actually tough

04:57i'm gonna use that that's definitely a mental play we're trying to get the uh best nickname for

05:05drink thank you thank you you're far too far too kind

05:09guy really likes are you calling him a fake laugher right now i'm saying that pop douglas is

05:15probably the most positive human in new england let's not ruin it pop likes my jokes yeah he likes

05:21my jokes oh god we had tyla on earlier pop and greg asked him about the swamp cabbage and he didn't

05:27know and greg said wait till we have pop on he'll know what i'm talking about and you just blew up his

05:33spot it was great hey i apologize my guy i know y'all should have put

05:39um so pop you guys are heading to new bedford and you're gonna go to the boys and girls club

05:48there at 11 and then brockton at noon and then wrap up in boston today at one when it comes to the

05:55turkey drive correct correct all right i gotta ask because i've been fighting with the guys ever

06:02since you told us that the name that you use the nickname you use for drake may is draco

06:07where does that come from and please tell me it's harry potter

06:10no i wish it was harry potter but you know uh you know that right arm of his

06:17yep that's a gun yeah that's a gun right there i ain't gonna lie that's a gun and uh

06:22it hits his target it hits his target you know and my guy his name drink so we that's it's basically

06:30a gun i don't want to refer it to that like that but that man arm is a gun he can throw that thing

06:36that's what it is seems like you're a harry potter fan though just saying yeah

06:40pop early in the game you guys um you guys started a little bit slow on offense

06:48what settled you down in that game and got you guys back on track

06:52uh i think you know i want to say man hunt honestly you know hunt kept it going

07:02you know jake and hunt they were hitting you know uh like we say every game you never know who who's

07:07going to be whose name is going to get called to make them plays and i feel like you know hunt

07:11stepped it up you know uh catching and making plays and getting down the field putting points

07:17on the board and i feel like that helped us keep our energy up so you know drink and hunt they they

07:23did their thing honestly pop my lead this morning was about trail jennings um mass live just did an

07:29article about him and his upbringing and what he went through while he was in high school uh going

07:34from being homeless to a teacher taking him in um can you just speak of the type of guy i know

07:40you're close with him the type of guy that he's been uh since his time in florida to where he is

07:45now in new england man uh it's been a blessing to watch his path uh to know his story uh man he's

07:53a go-getter you know uh anybody with his you know his path could have easily quit and said it's too

07:59hard you know and uh gave up but he kept going you know uh he has that drive to feed his family

08:04uh just like me i believe that's why we're in the same position you know uh we're both in the

08:11nfl you know uh i feel like his drive you know got him got him where he is and you know him

08:17wanting to feed his family and uh want to be great uh what got him here it's a it's a blessing to

08:23to know know him and to know his path and know how humble he is pop we we talk often on the show

08:30one of our colleagues doesn't like josh mcdaniels too much uh what what has he done for you this

08:36year and how have you enjoyed working with him as a coach uh now you know uh josh he's doing a great

08:43job of you know like i always say putting us in the right positions to succeed you know uh some games

08:50it might not it might not look uh as good like in the beginning last last week but he's calling up

08:57the right things it just might be something you know with our details you know uh that could be

09:03off you know uh feel like nfl little details like this uh it kind of hurts you know but uh josh you

09:10know go half time and he adjusts and uh he that's he's good at that man he's good at adjusting you know

09:16to what we need and what we need to do to succeed and my guy josh he he's good with uh the players

09:23you know he's been here for a long time and he know how to communicate and put us in the right

09:31position pop uh mike uh your coach mike grable talked about the unselfishness of the wide receiver

09:38room and i know from being with todd downing he's tremendous coach and understands thing how are you

09:45guys especially in that wide receiver room because you know how it is you know everybody wants the

09:50how are you guys been able to know that like week in and week out we could share it and it could be

09:55one guy like to be able to continue that so you're headed in the right direction with nobody being

10:01selfish um it just you know seeing how hard people work and practice you know uh uh that's that's how

10:10you know they deserve to you know eat in the game you know how hard somebody practice you know is what

10:15they're going to get out in the game and you know uh i feel like josh does a great job of it's

10:20exploiting that and it's it's a blessing all the guys uh work very hard so we all know like somebody

10:29got to eat somebody gonna eat it's a lot of us everybody can't eat every game and uh feel like

10:35we're we've grown that bond to not hate and man uh keep that energy good keep good energy and

10:42keep the guys lifted up and keep going because we got a lot of games ahead of us

10:47back to back to that high school team for a minute both of you make it to the nfl how good was that team

10:53it was good we won state my senior year you did our senior year yeah yeah we won state uh

11:02yeah we have it we had a real good team too i'll it was a very underrated team very great team but

11:11we probably had like probably three people who had stars honestly because in mac jones mac jones was a

11:17uh duval high school player right did you play against him yeah yeah he went to bowls i didn't

11:23play against him he he's a little bit ahead of me but uh yeah he he was at bowls

11:29not too far from our school well it's it's a really cool thing that you guys are doing today

11:36and so um uh thanks for doing that for the community thanks for coming on with us we we

11:43hope you have a fantastic thanksgiving and then get right back to work because you got a big one
