00:00There's such a huge fan base for this book.
00:02Did you feel any pressure to get this role right?
00:05I felt like it was a really good opportunity to connect deeply with it myself.
00:12I think everybody can connect to these characters in their own unique ways
00:17and have these visions of it.
00:19And I'm super aware of that, but I knew for myself and my process,
00:24I needed to find what was true to me.
00:27And I really hope they like what I did.
00:28But, yeah, that was kind of my process with it.
00:31And since then, have you been able to have any conversations with Brandon about the role?
00:35Yeah. I mean, Brandon's the best.
00:37He's so funny. He's so sweet.
00:39I think we both love Atlas.
00:42Like, I think as a character, I feel so lucky to play someone with such a genuine good soul
00:50and good heart with the best intentions for everything they do.
00:55And, you know, I felt really lucky to be able to do that.
00:58And Brandon's just amazing.
01:01Like, it was really fun doing press stuff with him, baking cookies with him,
01:05even though I'm terrible at doing it.
01:07But, yeah, it was fun.
01:08He's got to teach you, right?
01:09He's got to teach me.
01:10You know, it evolves from the younger to the older, you know?
01:13Some wise advice that he's given you.
01:16I also wanted to ask, what was the most challenging scene for you to work through,
01:20given that this is, you know, that we deal with some heavy topics in this film?
01:26Yeah.
01:26I think, well, we started filming, Isabella and I, the garden scene.
01:34And that's a really, like, pivotal scene and very intimate moment
01:38where we're really kind of sharing for the first time what we've been through.
01:44And she's really opening up, too.
01:46And I think that's a really difficult thing to do on your first day.
01:50But it's an amazing thing to, like, build that trust and the comfortability with each other.
01:55So it was the most difficult but also the most rewarding
01:58because I think from there we knew we were, like, locked in
02:01and we're ready to play and be scene partners and, like, give this our all.
