Transcript
00:00What was it like working with Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis on this movie?
00:03Oh, fantastic. I mean, these ladies have so much of the best sense of humor that you can ever imagine.
00:11I mean, it's incredible. They were so welcoming and warm, both of them.
00:16And Jamie was basically the glue that kept us together throughout the shoot.
00:22You know, she's so welcoming and warm and she makes everyone feel so comfortable and welcome, you know, and that allowed us to become very close, very close.
00:34And we were all in each other's lives. We all became friends.
00:37You know, this is a gigantic movie.
00:39It is something that normally doesn't happen in a movie this size because people are busy, because, you know, it's hundreds and hundreds of people on set.
00:46But it felt very intimate. We were all really playing.
00:49We all turned into kids and we played.
00:52And that's an actor's dream, because in a way, we all have Peter Pan syndrome.
00:57You know, we all want to be kids forever.
00:59I mean, can you imagine that you make a living out of believing that you're someone else?
01:03You know, it's somewhere between madness and the most fun thing that you can ever imagine.
01:08What was your experience with playing the game before taking on the role?
01:11Well, that was different because I'm not a gamer.
01:14So that was tough for me.
01:16But now I'm really paying attention.
01:18I'm really paying attention because I think that some of the most provocative content in entertainment
01:21is happening in the world of video gaming.
01:23So I think that a movie like Borderlands is a perfect interface between that world and the rest of us, you know, the rest of the world.
01:30But now I belong to this world because I'm right in the now.
01:33Now this movie has introduced me to the world of video gaming in the best way as possible.
01:37It's such a colorful film to see on the big screen.
01:40What was it like stepping on set and being in this crazy, colorful world of Pandora?
01:44It was really something because the sets were incredible and the extras, the wardrobe, it was really...
01:52And also I had the chance to work with everyone in the film.
01:56So that was also actually my first scene.
01:58It's almost like a space opera.
02:00Like I walked, like my first scene, you know, like the first one that I shot.
02:04And suddenly I walked into this gigantic set with hundreds of extras, hundreds of crew, and the entire cast there.
02:10And I'm like, people who knew each other already because I was the last one to join the, to join the,
02:15because, you know, for schedule conflict, I, I, my, my, my, my scenes were shot at the very end of the, of the shoot.
02:23So it was, it was really cool.
