01:48But if Aaron, although Mason Rudolph looked all right yesterday,

01:52I watched Pittsburgh because they were playing the Bears.

01:55But you've got, like, it's still winnable regardless.

01:58I think any game, even if it's Aaron Rodgers,

02:01I think Aaron Rodgers or Mason Rudolph, that's a winnable game.

02:03And then all of a sudden after that, you've got Cincinnati.

02:07I think I saw Joe Burrow was playing Thursday, like, for sure.

02:11He has been cleared.

02:12He's going to play.

02:13And then you've got Tampa.

02:14Solana mentioned Baker Mayfield was hurt.

02:16Who knows how they're going to limp in at the end of the season.

02:19And the final game of the year is against New England.

02:22My wife said to me yesterday, because I didn't realize it,

02:25she said, do they have the best record in the NFL?

02:27And I looked at the standings, and they do.

02:30The New England Patriots have the best record.

02:32Who are they tied with?

02:33I think Denver, maybe?

02:34Denver have the same record?

02:34Denver and the Patriots.

02:36I mean, that's insane, man.

02:41But there is a scenario where the Dolphins string together

02:44a bunch of wins here at the end.

02:46And I think, again, it's a very slim chance,

02:50because I saw a write-up about the teams ahead of the,

02:54even if they finish 10-7,

02:56it would be, like, the slimmest of odds

03:02that they would be a wild-card team.

03:05But it is kind of fun for the Hurricanes.

03:08They were left for dead after the two losses.

03:11Oh, our ACC championship game dreams are over.

03:13And sports has a funny way of giving you

03:17a little bit of hope sometimes

03:18when there seemingly was none.

03:21If this is the prom,

03:23and I think it's a lot of my fallings category,

03:26some people don't like to be the girl serving the juice,

03:29even though she's there.

03:30They have to be the prom queen.

03:32They don't just want to sneak in the back of the door

03:34and say they were at prom,

03:36where I think there's a large number of Dolphins fans

03:39that would rather be Tennessee

03:40than just sneak in the back door.

03:43That's no question.

03:44But that, I mean,

03:45I'm just saying reality is what reality is.

03:48Would you rather have an epically bad season

03:52rather than put together some sort of winning streak

03:55at the end that's going to end up being fruitless?

03:57Probably.

03:58I mean, it makes sense.

04:00But that's not the reality.

04:02The reality is they're playing as good football

04:06as they've played all season.

04:08They have terrible opponents coming up,

04:11and they are not going to be in the hunt

04:15for the top three picks in the draft.

04:18They just won't be.

04:19I don't see them losing to the Jets.

04:22I don't see them losing to New Orleans,

04:25to be quite honest, on Sunday.

04:27So it just is what it is.

04:29And Solana said it.

04:30Does New England have anything to play for?

04:32They might beat some good teams.

04:33The teams we're talking about, they need to beat.

04:35They might beat them just because of how it plays out.

04:37I'm not even the draft chaser.

04:39Oh, now we're picking 18 again.

04:41We can miss on 18.

04:42We can miss on three.

04:43We miss on five.

04:45My problem with them going on a run here

04:48and winning nine or 10 games

04:49is that we go back in the next year

04:51saying McDaniel's the guy to have figured it out.

04:54When we start slow every damn year,

04:56then we win late,

04:57and then we're going to be on this damn hamster wheel.

04:59The hamster wheel is what I don't want.

05:01I don't want us to lose,

05:02but I don't want to jump back on McDaniel

05:04and Tua a little bandwagon again.

05:06Like I say, you just don't have a choice in the matter

05:09because they're going to try to win every game

05:12that they have remaining on the schedule,

05:13and it's not one of those seasons

05:16where the front office says,

05:18hey, let's shut it down and focus on next season.

05:21That has not been Stephen Ross's mantra this season ever,

05:25and it certainly isn't Mike McDaniels.

05:28It's not Tua,

05:28and so I think they're going to end up

05:30potentially being on that hamster wheel again.

05:34But again, my point is you don't have a say in the matter.

05:39You know, like somebody put up their crowd or preach,

05:41but what are you preaching?

05:45Like, it's just, I'm telling you,

05:47the reality is the Dolphins have figured a little something out,

05:52and their schedule is doing them a massive favor now

05:55at the end of the season if the favor is winning games.

05:59You don't have any say in the matter.
