Anjalee Tarapore — an ESG practitioner with 27 years of experience at the HDFC Group — shares why sustainability begins in classrooms and why academic spaces play a critical role in shaping responsible future leaders.

She discusses the urgent need for collaboration between industry and academia to drive meaningful outcomes, especially in the context of India’s evolving sustainability landscape. Conferences like TaSIC (Technology and Societal Impact Conference) create a space for open, research-driven, and solution-focused conversations among policymakers, scholars, researchers, business leaders, and practitioners.

In her talk, Anjalee highlights the multi-dimensional nature of sustainability:
🌿 Environmental – Importance of scientific understanding and ecological impact
🏛️ Political – Navigating changing ESG policies and governance frameworks
📈 Economic – Balancing financial performance with ethical responsibility
💡 Technological – Leveraging innovation for sustainable development

TaSIC is SPJIMR’s flagship global research conference, providing a powerful platform for thought leadership, cross-sector collaboration, and shaping a sustainable future through technology and responsible business practices.
