00:00Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Sukruti Sekhri Gupta and I am the track chair for Sustainable Consumer Wellbeing, which is one of the four tracks in TASIC 2026.
00:10So what do we mean when we say Sustainable Consumer Wellbeing?
00:14Well, broadly, at TASIC, we are trying to explore how technology shapes, influences, impacts and intersects with consumption patterns and consumer behavior.
00:25And within Consumer Wellbeing, we are exploring all elements, whether psychological, social or environmental.
00:32So if you're wondering, should I apply to the Sustainable Consumer Wellbeing track?
00:37Let me share some of the topics that we are very keen to invite work on.
00:40Broadly, we are looking at how technology interacts with and impacts consumer choices.
00:47So if, for instance, you are working in the domain of AI and its impact on technology, is AI a friend, is it a foe?
00:54If you're looking at data privacy or digital consumption aspects, then please apply to TASIC.
01:01Other areas we are exploring are to do with Consumer Wellbeing or Consumer Welfare.
01:06So for instance, one sub-theme we are looking at is Consumer Health and Lifestyle Choices.
01:13What are some ways through which consumers can lead healthier lives, through which they can be more mindful in their consumption?
01:20How can they be more responsible as a consumer?
01:24And what does responsible consumption really mean?
01:27We are also exploring sustainable and circular consumption.
01:30So if your work revolves around that, please submit.
01:34Another domain through Consumer Wellbeing itself is around bottom of pyramid or marginalized and underserved consumers.
01:40So topics revolving around that are very welcome, as are topics which are to do with pro-social consumer initiatives and nudging or choice architecture that leads to better choices for social purposes, not just for the individual themselves.
01:57So these are some of the indicative tracks.
01:59Let me take you through the submission process.
02:02If your project is at the idea stage, please send in your research proposal.
02:06And if selected, we will help you refine it.
02:08If your project is more developed, you can directly send in your short paper submission.
02:13Looking forward to receiving your submissions and seeing you very soon at TASIC 2026.
