00:00Hello everyone, I am Kuhu Chauhan and I manage Admissions and Outreach at ISPP.
00:16Today I am here to guide you through the ISPP Policy Attitude Index.
00:21We will cover everything that you need to know so that you are fully prepared and are at ease.
00:27So let's get started.
00:30Our Policy Attitude Index that is 5 is designed to evaluate a student on 5 core parameters
00:38which we have identified as 5 C's.
00:41These are Submitment, Competence, Critical Thinking, Character and Samarajji.
00:47These parameters reflect the qualities that are essential for success in public policy
00:55and for being a successful leader.
00:57Let's begin with the assessment which includes a written assessment followed by an interview, both of which are conducted virtually.
01:08An important note here for the candidates here is that you will receive an email on your registered email address with the test link so that you can access the test and a separate email will be sent to you for the interview access.
01:22So let's start by discussing the written assessment.
01:28The written assessment is designed to understand your readiness and academic alignment for the course graduate quality program.
01:36The written assessment is an adaptive test meaning the nature of the questions would adjust based on your response, helping us gauge your abilities precisely.
01:47The written assessment comprises of two parts, part A that includes quantitative ability, logical reasoning and English comprehension and part B that would include OPQ assessment.
02:00Let me break these down further for you.
02:02The quantitative ability section would evaluate you on your numerical ability skills in a non-technical context.
02:15You can expect questions on topics like algebra, profit and loss, speed, time and distance, ratio and proportion and probability.
02:25The section would comprise of 16 questions and it is to be completed in 16 minutes.
02:30The next section would be your logical reasoning that would have questions that are designed to assess your ability to interpret information objectively, recognize trends, make generalizations, analyze assumptions.
02:49You can expect questions like number and pattern series like attenition, questions on blood relations, directional sense, data sufficiency.
02:59It would comprise 12 questions to be completed in 12 minutes.
03:03So after logical reasoning the next section would be your English comprehension that would assess your written English skills and focuses on vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.
03:17It would have 18 questions to be completed in 18 minutes.
03:24So after completing part A you would go on to the part B that includes your OPQ assessment.
03:32The scoring of this OPQ assessment is done on a percentage basis.
03:37The purpose of the OPQ assessment is to understand you, your unique characteristics, your skills, your behaviors, your preferences both in academic and professional context.
03:50It would help us get insights that would help you succeed in your academic journey as well as it would be helpful in your professional journey.
03:59So for all the candidates who are appearing or who will appear for the ISPP PAI let me share a quick preparation tip with you.
04:11Since these assessments are globally standardized you can easily go online and prepare through the online test preparation resources or you can just reach out to us also and we will happily share a mock paper with you.
04:24Moving on to the next part of the policy aptitude index that is the interview.
04:33Again reminding everybody that interviews would be online and would be done on a zoom platform.
04:39So the interviews would be conducted by our esteemed faculty and alumni.
04:45The interviews are designed to evaluate your alignment with the program's goals and also to understand your motivations, your experiences and your aspirations.
04:56Think of it as a meaningful conversation between you and the panel wherein we get the opportunity to know you better and you get to know us as well.
05:06In the interview recess we would love to hear about your passion for public policy, whether it's an environmental issue, related to education or any topic that you feel strongly about.
05:19You can share the key developments in that particular area or share your plans how do you wish to contribute to that field.
05:27The interview is also a great space where you can share your plans, where do you see yourself after ISPP and what is the impact that you wish to create.
05:38The interviews are generally conducted on a Saturday and throughout Sunday and your final evaluation would be done considering the result of both the written assessment and the interview.
