00:00Hey, my name is Elisa. Today I want to show you how I use a manual breast pump to get milk. It's
00:09super helpful, especially when you need to pump quickly, store milk for later or relieve pressure
00:14if your breasts feel too full. This pump has a small milk container and a lever. When you press
00:20it, it creates suction and pulls milk out. First, I place the pump on my breast, making sure the
00:26flange sits snug around my nipple. It should feel sealed, no gaps, so it works properly and doesn't hurt.
00:42I start by pumping quickly for a few seconds to get the milk flowing. That helps trigger letdown.
00:47Once it starts, I slow down and do deeper, slower squeezes. You'll see milk collecting in the
00:52container. Sometimes I lightly massage around my breast while pumping. It helps keep the flow going.
01:22After a few minutes, I usually see a good amount of milk in the container. If I'm doing both sides,
01:29I just switch and repeat. When I'm done, I unscrew the container and pour the milk into a storage bottle
01:36or bag, labeling it with the date. That's it. It might feel a little weird at first,
01:42but after a few tries, it gets really easy.
01:44If you have any questions, drop them in the comments. I'll try to answer them all.
