00:00AEW takes the car out of neutral and goes into full gear. That's how cars work, right? I don't
00:06drive. With AEW's Full Gear 2025 live in Newark, New Jersey. Cultolic's own Tom Campbell is actually
00:13live in the building. There's a lot to cover, so let's dive right into it. So without further ado,
00:18I'm Fraser Porter and this is What Happened at AEW Full Gear 2025.
00:23On the Full Gear tailgate brawl, the Bang Bang Gang pinned Anthony Bowens to win the $200,000
00:30four-way tag team match. Then the Big Show came down to ringside to sit in the presence of the
00:37Rizzler and also watch Boom and Doom defeat Rocky Romero and Trent Barretta, but mostly just so
00:42he could hang out with the Rizzler. I'm actually disappointed we didn't get Paul White doing the
00:46Rizz face at any point during this. Backstage, the Don Callis family are talking about their big
00:50opportunity to win $1,000,000 and sharks with fricking laser beams on their fricking heads,
00:56but notice that Okada hasn't been seen anywhere today and his match is up soon. Then in less than
01:01two minutes, Hook and Eddie Kingston defeat the Workhorseman. Nothing else to say about this one
01:06really. The CMLL Trios Championships were on the line next, but there was no sign of Okada initially,
01:11with only two minutes to go until the pay-per-view actually started. We cut to the back and he's
01:16driving into the building in his McLaren, in his gear, to kick off the pay-per-view with the titles
01:21on the line. As AEW welcomes us into the main show of full gear, the CMLL Trios Championship match
01:27is fully underway. Mystico has been taken to the back with an injury and Okada is running fashionably
01:33late. The coin drops and then he performs an entire full entrance during the match. Tension is high
01:41between Takeshita and Okada as they stare each other down. This allowed Mascara Dorada to get a
01:46quick roll-up attempt on Takeshita for two. Hechicero attempts to bring peace between his
01:50fellow Don Callis family members, but Okada shows the IWGP world champion the finger. Mystico has been
01:56checked out by the medical team following the attack at the start of the show, and he takes it
02:00straight to Hechicero, Okada and Takeshita with a beautiful display of his lucha prowess. Mystico attempts
02:06to hit La Mystica on Takeshita, but Okada breaks it up and then just starts beating up his own
02:12tag team partner before throwing him straight out of the ring. Takeshita, back in the ring,
02:15nails Neon with a fantastic wheelbarrow German suplex, but some miscommunication and a game
02:21of one-upsmanship between Okada and Takeshita causes their momentum to stall. Okada looks absolutely
02:27buzzing as he accidentally hits Takeshita with a Rainmaker. This allows the CMLL Trios champions to get
02:32back into the match with Mystico and Hechicero going at it in the ring, trading moves and pin
02:37attempts. A rebound off the rope and Mystico locks in La Mystica on Hechicero, who taps out almost
02:43instantly. Back on the ramp, Okada and Takeshita are not happy. Don Callis tries to keep the peace
02:49before leaving up the ramp with the AEW Unified Champion.
02:55After dispatching the death riders in blood and guts, Darby Allin's battle with him isn't over yet,
03:00as he goes one-on-one with Pac. Darby is in a bad state as he's bandaged up after suffering some
03:06serious burns during last week's match. Just a little side note, I still think it's very strange
03:12seeing Pac wearing tights. Both men try to gain an advantage early on with a series of grapples,
03:18before Pac retreats to the outside to survey his opponent. Back in the ring and Darby maintains
03:23control with a very well maintained headlock. Pac briefly manages to lock a headscissors in,
03:29but Darby escapes and attempts a scorpion deathlock, but Pac knows he's in danger and manages to get
03:34out. On the ring apron, Pac hoists Darby above his head in a fireman's press and just throws him
03:41to the floor below with ease. The sound of Darby hitting the floor was absolutely brutal. It was a
03:47huge thud. Darby manages to get back in the ring before the 10 count, but Pac goes straight back on
03:53the attack and rips off the bandages and targets the burns of Darby. Not only that, but he then gives
03:59Darby whiplash as he just whips him into the second rope. It was brutal. But that's not all,
04:04folks. Pac then Irish whips Darby from one corner to the other with such force that Darby flies straight
04:12out of the ring between the ropes and then crashes to the floor once again. Darby finally manages to get
04:18some momentum in his favour as he traps Pac in between the ring skirt and the ring itself. He
04:23springs into action as he torpedoes himself out of the ring via a suicide dive. But he doesn't stop
04:29there. He pulls out a steel chair, props Pac up on the seat, and then takes to the top rope to deliver
04:35a front dropkick to the outside of the ring. Why do you do this to yourself Darby? They hit a stalemate in
04:42the ring as both men are down and out. They finally get to their feet and Darby springs off the ropes
04:48with a coffin drop attempt, but Pac counters and uses Darby's own momentum against him to hit a
04:54German suplex. While Darby is recovering, Pac starts to build some steam and nails him with a huge lariat,
05:00but only gets a two count. Keeping on the attack, he locks in the brutaliser, but Darby knowing how
05:06important it is he gets his foot on the bottom rope. Retreating to the corner and Darby is getting
05:12destroyed with some really stiff kicks to the face. Pac sees an opening. He climbs to the top rope and
05:19looks to hit a black arrow, but Darby moves out of the way and locks in a scorpion deathlock.
05:24Pac calls to the back and Wheeler Yuta comes to ringside. He distracts Darby and this allows Pac to
05:30get a baseball bat and smashes it in the face of Darby Allen. He then pins him and gets the three count.
05:40Next up is the huge multi-tag team match with a winning team getting to choose the stipulation
05:45for their semi-final match in the Women's World Tag Team Championship tournament. Megan Bain and
05:50Marina Shafir started off strong by taking it to the multi-time Women's World Champion, Toni Storm.
05:55Mina tags in but doesn't have much luck herself as Marina Shafir stays in control.
06:00However, Sky Blue gets a blind tag into the match and now it's her turn to take on Mina Shirakawa.
06:06Looking to tag Toni back into the match, it's cut off as Julia Hart pulls her off the apron.
06:11Instead, Mina heads to the other corner and tags in Willow Nightingale.
06:15The Babes of Wrath show off their chemistry with some tag offense to Sky Blue, but it's not long
06:22before Julia Hart enters the match. Honestly, it's a bit hard to follow this match entirely with a series
06:27of tags between the teams and everyone getting their offense in.
06:30Megan Bain and Harley Cameron are now the legal members of the match as Willow starts to build
06:35momentum for the hot tag. She gets in the ring and heads straight for Marina Shafir, but Shafir
06:40is still a bit too fresh as she locks in a sleeper hold and backs into the corner, which allows Julia
06:46Hart to tag in. The Sisters of Sin and Marina and Megan start to square up before Mina Shirakawa takes
06:52down both Julia Hart and Sky Blue. A blind tag brings Megan Bain into the match and Hart and
06:57Marina Shafir take down the timeless love bombs. Shafir locks in the mother's milk, but Toni
07:02manages to break it up. Finally, Toni Storm is legal in the match and gets a huge pop,
07:08but is unable to hit a Storm Zero. At this point, the match began to descend into chaos,
07:13with everyone hitting each other with their signature moves, including a huge roar for Willow's pounce.
07:18Toni Storm and Harley Cameron trade a series of pin attempts in the ring, but Storm
07:22gets the advantage and secures the win. This means that the timeless love bombs get to pick the
07:26stipulation for the semi-final match in the Women's World Tag Team Championship Tournament.
07:33The AEW World Tag Team Championships are on the line as Brodido looks to defend them against FTR.
07:40Bandido and Cash Wheeler start things off trying to feel each other out. Wheeler doesn't look amused by
07:45Bandido's finger gun as he slaps it away. After a series of back and forth moves between the two,
07:51Bandido gains the advantage after he chops the life out of Wheeler's chest, which prompts Dax to get
07:57into the ring and receive a couple of chops himself. Brody King enters the match and squares up to Dax,
08:02and they don't hold back. Talk about all gas and no breaks, as Brody caves Dax's chest in and goes on
08:09the chase to the outside. Back in the ring and Brody uses Cash Wheeler as a weapon and slams him onto Dax.
08:15The tag champs show off as Bandido hoists Brody King up and then slams him onto Dax for good measure.
08:21Bandido takes to the air with a huge tope con helo, but is caught by FTR, who then slam the champ onto
08:27the announce desk. This allows the challengers to turn the tide and gain control of the match.
08:32Back in their element and FTR caught off any attempt from Bandido to get back into the match,
08:37as they keep tagging in and out. For a brief moment, it looked like Bandido might be able to get
08:42Brody King into the match, but FTR blocked that side of the ring. Bandido manages to get the tag,
08:48but it's not allowed by referee Paul Turner, as he didn't actually see the tag take place.
08:52This doesn't last long though, as Bandido counters FTR's offense and leaps across the ring to tag King
08:59in. The big man starts to dominate the multi-time tag team champions, including reversing a sleeper
09:05hold attempt into a running cannonball into FTR Bald, who sat in the corner. He followed that up with
09:11another cannonball senton to both of them. Brodido was looking to wrap things up, but Dax pulls down
09:16the rope as Bandido ran them, causing him to spill to the outside and leave Brody King isolated.
09:22FTR managed to hit the power half of power and glory, but Brody King catches cash by the throat,
09:27while Bandido hits a massive frog splash to Dax. Brody King wanted to show his ability to fly,
09:33and he dives to the outside and it's a brutal crash landing into Stokely. FTR looks to finish things off,
09:39and destroys Bandido with a powerbomb and splash combination, but it only gets a two.
09:46Bandido lifts Cash Wheeler above his head with only one hand and throws him to the outside,
09:51following it up with a massive crossbody to the outside to both members of FTR. A failed
09:5621 plex on Dax is followed up by a successful 21 plex on Cash, but FTR responds with a shatter machine,
10:03which almost secures them the win, but Brody King breaks up the pin.
10:07Outside the ring, and the dogs are barking. Brody King starts to build steam and goes full
10:13force into a steel chair as Cash Wheeler moves out of the way. Cash brings the title into the ring,
10:19but Brody stops him. Dax kicks out of a roll-up attempt, which launches Bandido straight into the
10:24title belt, but he stays in it after a pin attempt. Brodido then uses FTR's own finisher,
10:30the shatter machine, against Dax, but he kicks out. Cash blocks Bandido from ending the match,
10:36and then hits a suicide dive to Brody. A reverse Doomze device into a moonsault allows Bandido to
10:41pin Cash, but again, it's only a two. On the ring apron, an FTR hit an assisted spike piledriver,
10:48taking Brody King out of the match. Back in the ring, it's two on one as FTR looks to finish things
10:54off. A spike piledriver looks to be the end of the match, but somehow Bandido's still in it.
10:59Bandido raises the guns to both members of FTR before defiantly showing them the middle finger.
11:05FTR hoist him up and hit the shatter machine to be crowned the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
11:13Next up is the casino gauntlet to crown the first ever AEW national champion. Lashley and Benjamin
11:19are out first and had a little friendly feel of each other. Ricochet is out next, and the gates of
11:25Agony blindside the Heart Syndicate and brutalized them at ringside. Lashley in particularly is badly
11:32hurt, as the back of his head is smashed into the steel steps. As the clock counts down, Ricochet hits
11:37some dance moves in the ring, but next to enter the match is another bald man. It's Claudio Casagnoli,
11:43representing the Death Riders. Ricochet takes to the air with a suicide dive, but Claudio catches him in
11:49mid-air with a European uppercut. He then throws him into the ring and starts to swing.
11:54Ricochet manages to recover a little bit right as the countdown reaches zero, and the Death Riders
11:59Daniel Garcia enters the match. The crowd had a lot of fun with this one, because they chant
12:04he's not bald at Garcia as he begins to wear down Ricochet. But sitting in wait is Claudio,
12:10who charges at Ricochet in the corner with another European uppercut. The countdown is on again,
12:15and it's freshly squeezed Orange Cassidy, who is characteristically in no rush to get to the ring.
12:20He immediately embraces the bald and slaps Ricochet's big bald head. Claudio, showing off his
12:26strength, lifts Orange with one hand by his waistband. He looks to hit a pop-up European
12:32uppercut, but Orange reverses it. He trades moves with Claudio as the next entrant arrives. And it's
12:37the Death Riders Wheeler Yuta. At this point, the Death Riders have a massive advantage and start to
12:44beat down Orange Cassidy. Honestly, where's the Rizzler when you need him?
12:47The countdown is on again, and Kevin Knight joins the match. He makes an immediate impact as he
12:52gets some serious airtime, with a flying clothesline to Garcia, and then a leaping clothesline to Yuta.
12:57He gets in the ring, and manages to stop Claudio from hitting him with a powerbomb.
13:01Knight and Ricochet begin to trade moves back and forth, but the Death Riders start to control the match
13:06again. The clock ticks down once more, and Roderick Strong heads to the ring. He goes straight for the
13:12Death Riders, and manages to catch Kevin Knight and Ricochet with some perfect backbreakers for good
13:18measure. Once again, the clock is ticking, and Mark Davis makes his way to the ring, representing
13:24the Don Callis family. I'm really surprised we've not had more members of the Don Callis family,
13:29considering it's half the roster. He takes down both Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia, before a huge
13:34lariat to Roddy. Orange Cassidy tries to gain the advantage, but Davis spikes him with a pile driver.
13:40Kevin Knight was happy, as his tag team partner, Speedball Mike Bailey is the next
13:44entrant into the casino gauntlet. We get a glimpse of their signature tag offence, before they both
13:48go to pin Mark Davis, causing a little disagreement between the pair. They take down everyone else in
13:54the match, before showing respect to each other, and having a little wrestle between themselves.
13:58But Daniel Garcia is fed up of it, and he takes down both men. The entire Prudential Center's nipples
14:04are hard, as Daddy Magic Matt Menard is out next, and he batters his former protégé-slash-son-slash-friend,
14:12Danny Garcia. They brawl and spill out into the crowd, so the Death Riders are now down one member.
14:18A big meat chant breaks out as Claudio Cassignoli and Mark Davis square off, but they're interrupted as
14:26the Hurt Syndicate slide into the ring and take down everyone. Ricochet somehow finds himself in the
14:32ring and falls victim to the Hurt Syndicate's attacks, even though he does try to escape.
14:37Orange Cassidy rocks Claudio and Mark Davis with some orange punches. He lines up Ricochet for one,
14:42but Yuta hits him with a knee. Kevin Knight breaks up the pin attempt and hits a splash on Yuta,
14:47but Ricochet takes advantage and hits a spirit gun on Knight to become the first ever AEW national champion.
14:56Kyle O'Reilly has had Jon Moxley's number over the past few weeks, and he looks to gain another win
15:01in a no-holds-barred match. O'Reilly gains an early advantage as he targets the fingers of Moxley,
15:07who then retreats to the outside to regroup. Marina Shafir then hands Moxley a fork,
15:11who gets back in the ring and takes Kyle to the mat. He then proceeds to stab him multiple times in the
15:17head and midsection with the fork. O'Reilly's face is pouring with blood, which really gives Moxley the
15:24edge. He remains firmly in control as Kyle starts to lose more blood. Moxley must have skipped lunch
15:31as he takes bites out of Kyle's head and fingers to really punish his opponent. As the crowd starts
15:37to get behind Kyle, he starts to turn things around and briefly locks in the ankle lock that caused
15:43Moxley to tap out in blood and guts. Moxley reverses this and gains control once again, which sees him
15:49stabbing Kyle O'Reilly in the nipple. Moxley locks in a sleeper hold over the ropes, but Kyle sees an
15:56opening and turns things around. Back in the ring and panic sets in for Mox as Kyle locks in the
16:02ankle lock once again. He maintains control and uses the fork on Moxley's head. Moxley's face begins to
16:09pour with blood. O'Reilly heads to the outside and pulls out a chain, which appears to cause some
16:14panic and trepidation from Moxley, who gets caught in a headlock. Mox grabs the chain and starts to
16:20wrap it around the neck of O'Reilly. With both men connected by the chain around their necks, O'Reilly
16:25hits a huge suplex that takes both of them down. We get somewhat of an impromptu chain match here as
16:31they both wrap the chain around the wrist and begin to exchange strikes. Mox manages to secure a bulldog
16:37choke, but Kyle avoids it and they trade control. Moxley locks in an STF, nice tribute to John Cena,
16:43but O'Reilly stabs Moxley's hand. In response to that, Mox stomps Kyle, which causes the crowd to
16:49sing Seth Rollins' theme. A steel chair is brought into the mix and Kyle's arm is placed in the middle
16:55of it, which prompts Moxley to stomp it shut. Moxley looks to break Kyle's arm with a Kimura lock,
17:01but Kyle somehow manages to gain control, locks in a knee bar ankle lock with the help of a chain
17:06wrapped around the leg of Moxley, which forces Moxley to tap out. After the match, Moxley shows Kyle
17:13O'Reilly a sign of respect, as he nods and bows his head at the man who's now forced him to tap out
17:19twice. But he has a change of heart, right as he's about to leave through the crowd. While medical staff
17:25are checking on Kyle, Mox runs in and attacks him, and specifically targets what could be a broken arm.
17:31The rest of the conglomeration heads to the ring to check on their fallen friend,
17:35as the Deathriders leave through the crowd.
17:40The TNT Championship is on the line next as Kyle Fletcher defends against Mark Briscoe. However,
17:46if Briscoe loses, then he must join the Don Callis family. To kick things off, we see both
17:52men trading blows with Fletcher gaining the advantage as he's able to counter all of
17:57Briscoe's attempts to get into the match. Outside of the ring, Mark Briscoe turns things
18:02around and throws Fletcher all over the ringside area. Fletcher catches Briscoe in midair and nails
18:08him with a Brain Buster onto a steel chair. His advantage doesn't last long though, as Briscoe
18:13props Fletcher against a ladder, and he gets into the ring and Suicide dives to the outside.
18:19Fletcher sees him, however, and moves out of the way, causing Briscoe to crash and burn. This gives the
18:25TNT Champion the perfect opening to taunt to the crowd. He goes searching for more weapons,
18:30and finds another ladder. Mark Briscoe is busted open, while Kyle Fletcher just throws him around
18:36the ring, wearing down the challenger. They both go to the top rope and Fletcher looks to hit a
18:41Brain Buster onto a ladder bridge. Briscoe turns it around and throws the ladder at Fletcher,
18:46who catches it but walks straight into a dropkick. While Fletcher sets up multiple chairs as somewhat
18:52of a makeshift table, Briscoe launches a chair at him. As Mark Briscoe climbs the ropes to dive on the
18:58champion, Don Callis finally gets involved. This distracts Briscoe long enough for Kyle to push him
19:05off the top rope, causing him to crash through a table at the ringside area. Back in the ring,
19:09and Fletcher catches Briscoe with a sickening kick in the corner. After a series of counters,
19:15Fletcher lifts Briscoe up and runs full speed into a table propped up into the corner. He picks him up
19:21and nearly gets a win with a massive powerbomb, but it's not quite enough to put away Mark Briscoe.
19:28Going outside the ring, he grabs a bucket that is filled to the brim with thumbtacks. He pours
19:34them out on the mat and looks to end things. He grabs a pile of them and places them in the mouth
19:39of Briscoe before superkicking him directly in the face. But he gets a taste of his own medicine as
19:46Briscoe turns things around and hits a fisherman suplex on the thumbtacks for a two count.
19:51It's now Briscoe's turn to be in control and he grabs a barbed wire table from under the ring.
19:56Not only that, but an absolutely massive ladder too. On the apron and both men are fighting for
20:03control. Kyle slips and finds himself perfectly placed for a flipping neckbreaker onto the steel
20:09chairs that the champion had set up earlier. Both men back in the ring and Kyle once again
20:14is placed on a table as Briscoe climbs the absolutely massive ladder looking to finish things off.
20:20But Kyle starts to climb the ladder. Briscoe from the top of the ladder catches
20:25Fletcher with an insane froggy bow elbow through the table in mid air. I genuinely thought this
20:31was the finish, but Kyle Fletcher somehow, somehow stays in the match. Briscoe pushes the barbed wire
20:39table into the ring as Kyle Fletcher grabs a screwdriver. Mark Briscoe blocks the initial
20:44tack, but the onslaught is too much and Fletcher stabs him over and over and over again. He turns to the
20:51camera and licks Briscoe's blood off the screwdriver. Gross. Somehow Briscoe gets back into it and hits a
20:58brain buster, but it doesn't get the win. In the corner, Fletcher pierces the screwdriver through the
21:03turnbuckle and looks to impale Mark Briscoe like it's the ending of Hot Fuzz. Briscoe escapes,
21:09but Fletcher keeps hold of the screwdriver and stabs Briscoe in the head once again.
21:13Mark turns things around and launches Fletcher through the barbed wire table before following
21:18up with a Jay Driller to win the TNT championship and more importantly, it means he doesn't have to
21:24join the Don Callis family. We have a new TNT champion and his name is Mark Briscoe.
21:31One million dollars are on the line for the Young Bucks as they team with Josh Alexander
21:37to take on Kenny Omega and the recently reunited Jurassic Express. Nick Jackson kicks things off with
21:43Jack Perry as the two flippy speedy boys hit some flippy speedy offense. Neither man gets the
21:49advantage however, which prompts them to tag in Luchasaurus and Matt Jackson respectively.
21:55Luchasaurus manages to take down all three members of the opposite team before tagging in Jack Perry,
22:00who then works with Kenny Omega to take down his fellow elite members.
22:04While Kenny Omega backs up towards the ropes, Josh Alexander clips him with a very stiff elbow
22:10before tagging into the match. While Kenny initially manages a burst of offense to counter Alexander,
22:15the former TNA world champion targets the ankle of Omega and begins to wear him down. The Young Bucks
22:21get back into the match and attempt some tag offense against Omega, but he has them scouted. Nick
22:27Jackson tries to dive to the outside, but crashes to the floor as he misses the dive completely onto
22:32Luchasaurus. It was a really, really nasty landing. But it doesn't stall the momentum for this team,
22:38as the Bucks continue the attack on Jack Perry. The Goodies manage to get back into the proceedings,
22:43as Perry tags in the big Lucha Dinosaur, who batters both Max and Jeremy Buck with a big chokeslam
22:49and a moonsault combo. The Bucks manage to avoid another chokeslam from Luchasaurus, while Kenny Omega
22:55calls for a tag on the outside. Omega goes straight for Josh Alexander, who looks to tag out, but is left
23:01all alone by the Young Bucks. The match descends into chaos, with everyone hitting each other with big moves,
23:07including an impressive diving Canadian destroyer onto Luchasaurus, which is followed up with a V
23:13trigger by Kenny Omega. While Josh Alexander has Kenny Omega trapped in an ankle lock, the Young Bucks
23:19grab the arms of Omega and hit an EVP trigger. Somehow, Kenny manages to get to the bottom rope
23:25to break the hold. Some triple team offense as Luchasaurus launches Jack Perry into the air
23:31to assist Kenny Omega in hitting a spike pile driver. Jurassic Express hits Matt Jackson with a countdown
23:37to extinction, but Alexander breaks it up to save the match for his team. They look to hit a double
23:43doomsday device on the Bucks, but they escape and superkick their opponents. They watch as Omega hits
23:48Alexander with a one-winged angel on the outside, but inside the ring, they double team Jack Perry and nail him
23:54with an EVP trigger to win themselves the $1 million. After the match, Don Callis joins them in the ring to
24:01officially welcome them to the Don Callis family. As the Bucks leave up the ramp with Don Callis,
24:07the rest of the family stays back and attacks Kenny in the ring. They target his injured leg,
24:13and the Bucks look somewhat conflicted. They're torn between the money or saving their former friend.
24:19Eventually, they throw the money to the ground. They charge to the ring and save Omega. They take
24:24down the entire family with the little help of Jurassic Express. The Young Bucks and Jurassic Express
24:30shake hands, and Omega then comes face to face with the Bucks who extend their hands for a handshake.
24:36Kenny Omega refuses it, and instead, he hugs them. The Elite is back together as the Don Callis family looks on.
24:45Mercedes Monet looks to win her 14th championship as she takes on Chris Statlander for the AEW Women's World Championship.
24:55The early goings of the match sees both Mercedes and Chris battling it out to gain the early advantage,
25:01with Mercedes using her speed while Chris overpowers the TBS champion.
25:06Statlander takes to the top rope and misses a huge early splash. She rolls to the outside and appears to have injured her arm,
25:13while referee Aubrey Edwards checks on the Women's World Champion.
25:17Mercedes launches herself onto the champ with a Meteora to the floor.
25:21She doesn't hold back as she targets the seemingly injured arm of Statlander.
25:25Monet locks in a Fujiwara arm bar which prompts screams of pain from the champion.
25:30Every time Chris sees a slight opening in the match, Mercedes cuts her off and goes back to working over
25:36the injured arm. Statlander, using her good arm, manages to hit a series of clotheslines,
25:41but Mercedes once again turns the match in her favour and targets both arms off her opponent.
25:47Mercedes, getting a little bit cocky, hits a series of suplexes, trying to match the amount of suplexes
25:53to the amount of championships she's won. She climbs to the top rope looking for a frog splash,
25:57but Chris gets her feet up and clocks Mercedes right in the jaw. Finally, the champion is starting
26:03to gain momentum as she hits a back body drop and follows up with a suplex of her own.
26:08Her arm is still causing her issues though as she's not quite able to have full control over the pin
26:13as Mercedes kicks out. She's not in control for long though as Mercedes takes advantage of the
26:19arm injury once again and takes it to the outside, but she's caught in the air and gets hit with a
26:25blue thunder bomb. The referee begins to count Mercedes out, but she manages to get back into the
26:31ring at the count of nine. She gains the advantage again and throws Statlander into the turnbuckle with a
26:37sunset flip. She eyes the champion in the corner who gets a second wind and runs into Mercedes with
26:42a clothesline, but Mercedes again stays in control. The women's champion gains a little bit of leverage
26:49and takes Mercedes to the top rope to bring her crashing to the mat again with a Dean Malenko-like
26:54backbreaker. She looks to hit Saturday Night Fever but is unable to lift Monet with the injured arm.
26:59The TBS champion manages to escape and rolls up Chris who manages to kick out and roll through into a
27:05seatbelt pin attempt, the pin that managed to win the title for her, but it's unsuccessful.
27:09She hits Mercedes with a package pile driver, but unfortunately it's too close to the rope,
27:14as Monet manages to grab it to break the pin attempt.
27:17Monet nails Chris with a reverse Frankensteiner and follows it up with a Meteora against the bottom
27:22rope, but the champion stays in with a kick out too. Monet attempts the money maker, but a series of
27:28reversals sees both champions fighting for control once again. Statlander manages to grab Monet long enough
27:34to hit a Saturday Night Fever out of nowhere to pin Mercedes Monet and retain the AEW Women's World Championship.
27:42It's main event time as Hangman Page defends the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe.
27:48The world champion has some taped up ribs, which draws the eye off the challenger, but Hangman takes the early lead.
27:55The hangman takes off his boot and lays it into the head of Samoa Joe, who gets busted open pretty badly.
28:01Joe looks absolutely knackered as he starts to lose blood and Hangman wears him down even further with
28:08strikes and clotheslines. Eventually, Joe turns things around and launches Hangman into the cage wall
28:14and begins to punish the champion. He scrapes Hangman's face across the steel cage fence and the
28:19champ gets busted open too. At this point, we get a pretty good view of the gash on Joe's head and
28:25it's honestly pretty gnarly. Despite this, he continues to stay in control and wear down the champion.
28:30Hangman sees an opening and is able to reverse a German suplex attempt and connects with a rolling
28:35forearm and then a big back suplex of his own. Joe almost locks in the kokina clutch, but Hangman
28:41slips out and locks in one of his own. But Joe manages to escape and hits a Yuranagi in the corner.
28:47He lifts him up on the top rope and looks to finish things off with a muscle buster, but Hangman bites
28:52the open wound off the challenger. Both men go to the top rope and Hangman connects with a sunset flip
28:58powerbomb before leaving Joe lying on the mat. Shibata makes his way to ringside at this point,
29:03grabs the AEW World Championship and tries to climb the cage, but is stopped by Eddie Kingston.
29:09While this is going on outside the ring, the referee gets knocked down and Hangman hits the
29:14dead eye on Joe and gets the visible pinfall, but it doesn't count because the ref doesn't see it.
29:20Powerhouse Hobbs is out next and he breaks the chain clean off the door and enters the ring. Hangman
29:25launches him into the wall of the cage, but it allows Joe to lock in the kokina clutch.
29:30Hangman bashes Joe's head into the turnbuckle, but the open door allows Hangman to hit the buckshot
29:36lariat, but the ref is still down and can't make the pinfall. Hook rushes to the ring now and is trying
29:43to wake the referee up, but he sees the World Championship lying on the mat. He picks it up and
29:49bashes Hangman's head with it, revealing that he's rejoined the Ops. Joe lifts Hangman up,
29:56he hits a muscle buster and he pins Hangman Page to become the new world champion for the second time
30:03in his career. The Ops are joined in the ring by the Ops Dojo as Samoa Joe celebrates his new world
30:10title, but the lights go out and Prince Nana is stood at the top of the stage to usher in the return of
30:18Swerve Strickland. He walks towards the ring as the Full Gear crowd chants Swerve's house. Joe
30:26tells the dojo to stand back and invites Swerve to the ring. Swerve looks at the fallen Hangman
30:32and then takes a swing at the entire dojo. Full Gear goes off the air with Hangman Adam Page standing
30:38shoulder to shoulder with the returning Swerve Strickland. As always with AEW pay-per-views,
30:43a very solid show top to bottom with a major title change and a return to cap things off.
30:49I've been Fraser Porter and that was What Happened at AEW Full Gear 2025.
