00:00Thousands of SAG-AFTRA members have signed an open letter in solidarity amid the actor's strike,
00:05saying we have not come all this way to cave now.
00:08The signatures include ones from Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Cynthia Nixon, Leslie Odom Jr., Demi Moore,
00:14Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jon Hamm, Mark Ruffalo, Jonathan Groff, Kate Walsh, Chelsea Handler, and more.
00:20The letter reads in part,
00:21Back in June, before we went on strike, a large group of members signed an open letter telling our leaders
00:26that we would rather go on strike than take a bad deal.
00:29Now more than 100 days into our strike, that is still true.
00:33As hard as this is, we would rather stay on strike than take a bad deal.
00:36The letter comes as SAG-AFTRA is back in negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers this week
00:42after the union has been on strike for over 100 days.
00:46THR previously reported that a draft of a very different letter had been circulating
00:50from a group of A-listers who had been frustrated by the pace of contract talks.
00:54The draft expressed concerns about SAG-AFTRA's leadership.
00:57However, that letter was tabled once bargaining resumed on Tuesday.
