01:00the government's response to her arrest it should have come sooner public response to arrest has been
01:06varied but padarath says an example must be made we have seen time and time again public officials and
01:14you saw it happen in the former administration as well there's only so far that you can go in terms of
01:19putting the risk the lives of public officials and private citizens at risk by putting up the prime
01:26minister's residence her location puts her at a tremendous risk and therefore that's why i said it
01:32took to me it took long in coming but it is justifiable people must be held accountable for their actions
01:39and therefore i look forward to more to come by setting an example um in trinidad and tobago for
01:47this type of um behavior and this type of action he's giving the public the assurance that freedom
01:52of speech remains a protected right in tnt it is not a suppression of um free of expression but this takes
02:00this type of behavior and this type of conduct into a totally different realm of opening up citizens first
02:08and foremost but also um persons who are public officials in trinidad and tobago um opening up
02:15not only themselves but their families their loved ones to this type of exposure so it took in my
02:20respectful view long in coming but i'm almost certain the commissioner acted within the parameters
02:25of the law and therefore we as a leader of government business i totally support this and i'm sure
02:30the government will totally support this action by the honorable commissioner asked for her view opposition leader

02:57i have seen uh commentaries supporting the unc and attacking members of the opposition in the most
03:05violent and i want to i wanted to draw the commissioner police attention to the fact that a lot of
03:13operators that are supporting the unc are using threatening language not only against members of the well
03:21against members of the opposition and we expect that the police will act with the same level of
03:27promptitude in the manner in which they have addressed this particular matter renasa cutting tv6 news
