00:00Scott, we will bounce over to Del Mar for our final segment.
00:04It's just a short field.
00:05It's the grade three native diver.
00:07It'll go for $100,000 as race number eight on Saturday at Del Mar.
00:12We'll start things out with the number one, Indispensable.
00:16Comes off of a string of races where he wins at Del Mar back in July.
00:21And I think we can see that he really does like Del Mar.
00:23Both of his career victories have come over this track.
00:25He's run second a couple other times and third.
00:27And the only time he didn't hit the board at Del Mar was in the Pacific Classic
00:32when he finished fourth behind really nice horses.
00:35Fierceness, journalism, we saw them go on in the Breeders' Cup Classic
00:38and perform very well.
00:40So I think he likes Del Mar.
00:43I don't really knock his race in the Pacific Classic.
00:46He goes over to Churchill.
00:47He runs a fine third in the ACAC behind Tumbarumba and Most Wanted.
00:52I think a lot of his form makes sense.
00:54He just doesn't feel like he's quite as good as Nevada Beach,
00:57who looks like the standout horse in here.
01:00And Indispensable has been kind of a cut below graded stakes for a lot of his career.
01:05He's maybe right into that grade three range.
01:07So I could see him hitting the board.
01:09This is not a strong group.
01:11But he doesn't seem like he has quite as high of a ceiling as a couple of the others in here.
01:16Yeah, I'm going to take a little bit of an alternative view.
01:19I think the last couple of races are very forgivable.
01:21I think fierceness, journalism, those courses would be favored in here.
01:25I'm just going to take a stand and say that.
01:27And the ACAC, he didn't get to the front.
01:29They ran one, two around the track.
01:30He followed the leaders.
01:31And that's a one-turn mile.
01:33So I'm hoping he tries to make it to the front in this spot.
01:36And I think if he does, I'm not worried about the mile on an eighth.
01:40I think he's a horse that's on the come and just kind of has been up against it a little in his last couple.
01:44So I like his chances here if you're trying to spring the upset.
01:47I had a hard time making a case for anybody besides the one, two, and three in here.
01:52I think you could get to building a case with those three.
01:55You were talking about the speed with Indispensable.
01:58I think a lot of the race may come down to Indispensable and Westwood.
02:02Can one of the two of them shake clear from the other one?
02:06And if that were to happen, I think whoever gets the lead could be pretty dangerous in here.
02:11So we get to Westwood.
02:13I thought his last race was a little disappointing.
02:15He had some trouble back on October the 11th.
02:18Then on October 31st, he was your beaten favorite.
02:22He was kind of in between horses.
02:23He lost position, but he was never going to win that race.
02:26He broke his maiden when they put him on the lead, Scott.
02:29So I wonder now after back-to-back races where he may have been a little disappointing, he had some trouble.
02:35Do they try to get him back to the lead again here?
02:38Maybe, but I wouldn't think going to Rispoli was the guy I would want to go to.
02:42So last time out when he was disappointing, it was an ugly second, I thought.
02:47The horse that he held off coming from third is Brazenly, who's won for 26 in his last couple.
02:54I think he's got the one win.
02:55I think he's been a big disappointment, and he's going to have to beat me here.
02:59Nevada Beach is the number three.
03:00He's a grade one winner.
03:02He finds a really nice spot dropping out of the Breeders' Cup Classic.
03:05If you look at his Breeders' Cup Classic race, it really wasn't even that bad.
03:09He finished seventh.
03:10These are the horses who were in front of him.
03:12Forever Young, Sierra Leone, Fierceness, Journalism, Mindframe, and Baeza.
03:17Those are horses that are all just a little bit better than him.
03:20They're all grade one winners, too.
03:22Really nice horses.
03:24The thing with Nevada Beach, though, Scott, he's not that fast early in races.
03:29So if you can beat him in a small field like this, it'll be getting to the lead in here,
03:34and he'll probably be sitting maybe third or fourth in this race.
03:38What do you think about Nevada Beach in this spot?
03:41I'm just really, you said all the stuff, positives.
03:43I'm just not excited about betting a horse at a very short price after the Breeders' Cup Classic.
03:48Great point.
03:49Which is clearly his main race.
03:50He's probably going to win the race.
03:52I would never bet on him.
03:53British Isles tries the dirt again.
03:56His first three starts were on the dirt.
03:58They weren't very good.
03:59He's a better horse now.
04:00One of those races was behind Nysos, who's a Breeders' Cup winner.
04:04Can you make a case for him in here?
04:05Not really, but at least he has the work on October 4th.
04:08Oh, at Santa Anita, maybe that's why they're going back to the dirt,
04:11other than to take a shot.
04:13Five furlongs, 59-1, a bullet drill that day.
