00:00Volodymy Zelensky has confirmed Ukrainian authorities are reviewing the 28-point plan prepared by the U.S. and Russia.
00:09At least five people have been killed and 10 others injured in a Russian strike on Ukraine's southeastern city of Zaporizhia.
00:20Business activity in the Eurozone held firm in November as new data reflected a sharp rise in the latest reading, setting a new high since May 2024.
00:30A fire broke out at the United Nations Climate Summit in Brazil, prompting evacuations and disrupting climate talks.
00:40Here with me is a 28-point plan, which was allegedly prepared by the United States and Russia and passed on to Kyiv.
00:47Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he received the plan and that Ukrainian authorities are reviewing it.
00:52Now let's review it together.
00:54The plan starts with Ukraine's sovereignty will be confirmed.
00:57By whom?
00:57Ukraine's sovereignty is already confirmed by Ukraine and its Western partners and indeed international community.
01:04It is expected that Russia will not invade neighboring countries and NATO will not expand further.
01:10Now here are Moscow's demands to NATO, not only to Ukraine, which will continue in this plan, including if NATO agrees not to station troops in Ukraine.
01:20It then goes into Ukraine, will receive reliable security guarantees.
01:23Now, mind you, Ukraine already received security guarantees as per the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, which guaranteed its sovereignty and territorial integrity in return for Ukraine, giving up the third world's largest nuclear arsenal.
01:37The size of the Ukrainian armed forces will be limited.
01:40This is something that Russia has been insisting upon since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, wording it as demilitarization of Ukraine.
01:48Following in the same category is demand about European fighter jets not to be stationed in Ukraine and instead to be stationed in Poland.
01:55Russia will be reintegrated into the global economy.
01:59The lifting of the sanctions will be discussed and agreed upon.
02:02This is, of course, Russia's biggest demand, specifically given the latest tough sanctions by the United States and Trump administration on rucoyle and Rosneft.
02:11There is an interesting part regarding the frozen asset.
02:15So, according to this leak plan, 100 billion dollars in frozen assets, frozen Russian assets will be invested in U.S.-led efforts.
02:24And the U.S. will receive 50 percent of the profit from this venture.
02:29Now, this is something that the European Union clearly will have a lot to say about.
02:33Russia also promises to enshrine in law its policy of non-aggression towards Europe and Ukraine, not only Ukraine now, but also Europe and the European countries.
02:44Let's go to the territorial concessions here.
02:46Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk will be recognized as de facto Russian, including by the United States.
02:52How can the United States now recognize them de facto and not de euro?
02:55Now, this is a big question, but clearly something that Moscow has been pushing upon.
03:01Herson and Zaporizhia regions will be frozen along the line of contact.
03:06Russia does not control any region of Ukraine in its entirety.
03:11Now, the biggest presence and the biggest occupation in terms of the percentage of the territory that Russia has currently in Ukraine is Luhansk region.
03:20When it comes to Luhansk and Donetsk regions, known together as Donbass,
03:25this is not the area that Russia has been trying to occupy since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
03:30This is something that Moscow troops have been trying to occupy since 2014 for over 10 years now.
03:39One of the most important points in this alleged plan that was leaked on Thursday,
03:45all parties involved in this conflict will receive full amnesty for their actions during the war
03:49and agree not to make any claims or consider any complaints in the future.
03:55In which case, Russian forces and Russian authorities are trying to completely justify everything that their troops done in Ukraine,
04:02starting from the very first atrocities discovered when it came to the occupation of the Kiev region,
04:09which lasted for a month and the atrocities and revelations which the world saw when it comes to the liberation of Bucha, Irpin and the rest of the Kiev region,
04:20when it comes to the liberation of the Kharkiv region and the torture of the civilians and the sexual violence by Russian forces.
04:28Now, Ukrainian authorities did not say whether they are going to reject it or whether they are going to accept it.
04:34They do say that they are going to review that and they are going to engage in the dialogue.
04:39But clearly, some of these points are a no-go for Kiev.
04:42At least five people were killed in a Russian drone strike in Zaporizhia late Thursday, Ukrainian authorities said.
04:53The regional military administration in Zaporizhia said three people were injured in the overnight strikes,
05:00while in Odessa, five people, including one child, were injured in drone strikes.
05:05The strikes come just hours after the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky,
05:11was presented with a copy of a U.S.-drafted 28-point plan which demands serious territorial concessions from Ukraine.
05:20The state's emergency service said the strikes which hit residential buildings, a vehicle service station,
05:27an administrative building and market stalls sparked fires.
05:31Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the blazes.
05:36Meanwhile, Ukraine's state's emergency service said the death toll from Wednesday morning's missile and drone strikes in Tynopil has risen to 28.
05:46With recovery operations ongoing, 16 people are still unaccounted for.
05:51Women in Ukraine are not drafted into military service, but they can volunteer to join,
05:59and tens of thousands have done so since Russia first invaded Ukraine in 2014.
06:05Euronews spoke to three Ukrainian servicewomen who decided not just to stay, but also to defend their country.
06:13In Ukraine, there are more than 70 thousand women, and this is certainly a certain army of European countries, for example, in general.
06:24If women are still more, they will become more. There is no other choice.
06:28And as a result of women in the army, the more women in the army, the more women in the army, the more comfortable and better will feel each woman.
06:36Olexandra Lysitska, a lieutenant, serves as an officer of the Special Purpose Group in the National Guard of Ukraine.
06:45She joined the army following the all-out invasion.
06:47When asked why she decided not just to stay, but also to join the defense, she said...
06:53I want to live in my country, in my place, in my apartment, and look at the buildings.
06:58I need something to do.
07:00Visiting the European Parliament in Brussels, they say the Europeans do not realize yet they might also face this choice.
07:10As a result of the time, there is a lack of resources.
07:17This means they have the resources, resources, teaching, and together with Ukraine, we have to fight this trouble.
07:25Because it is better to crush the heart to get the heart so if it doesn't have a full extent, if it's fully documented,
07:33and it is localized in Ukraine and it still doesn't slot to you, it comes to the heart.
07:37Here is the standard infection of blood, we need to fight with it, and this is logical,
07:42this is about instinctive protection, and why this is not enough in Europe, I don't know.
07:49But we thank you for the support.
08:07The Flash Purchasing Managers Index, known as PMI, released on Thursday by ratings and intelligence agency S&P Global, fell marginally from 52.5 recorded in October to 52.4 this month, in line with expectations.
08:27The services sector remained the key driver of growth, with activity rising to 53.1, its highest level since May 2024, defying forecasts of a modest slowdown.
08:38Manufacturing, by contrast, lost momentum, with the PMI slipping to 49.7, its weakest reading in five months.
08:46This could be attributed to the sharp rise in input costs for businesses, possibly driven by higher tariffs and the rising electricity costs, according to data collected in a recent survey.
08:57Despite the steady growth, however, the pace of new orders at European businesses slightly softened in the month of November, as weakness in external demand persists.
09:07A pilot of an Indian fighter jet taking part in the Dubai air show has been killed after the plane crashed in front of a crowd on Friday, according to the Indian Air Force.
09:22The airplane appeared to have lost control and dived directly into the ground.
09:28As police vehicles, ambulances and a helicopter rushed to the site of the crash, Emirati officials have yet to provide further details.
09:37Friday marked the final day of the week-long air show, which many families had come to attend.
09:43The Bulgarian General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Sofia City Prosecutor's Office announced that 35 Bulgarians were arrested for antique trafficking in an international operation involving Europol.
10:00Many treasure hunters, dealers and high-level traffickers were detained both in Bulgaria and elsewhere in a coordinated operation spanning eight countries.
10:10Bulgaria requested the support almost two years ago.
10:14Because of the complexity of the case and the intensive investigation measures needed, we have proposed to set up a kind of an operational task force with Bulgaria, Europol, but also European and non-European countries.
10:29The criminal network has operated for 16 years across Western Europe.
10:33The United States has been worked for a long time.
10:36The police operation has been worked for a long time.
10:38The police operation has been worked for 30 hours.
10:39We have over 220 employees of GDBOP, who are working for a long time.
10:42The criminal network has operated for 16 years across Western Europe, the United States and the Balkans.
11:01They have many subcontractors in other countries ranging in specialties and professions.
11:07In Greece, archaeologists and professors were arrested after evidence suggested they were involved in the scheme.
11:14In addition to international trafficking of historical valuables, members of the group are also being investigated for money laundering and other financial issues.
