00:00Russia has launched a total of 1,217 drones and missile attacks on Ukraine in the past
00:09seven days, according to Ukraine's armed forces. 176 attacks were fired overnight,
00:16with Ukraine's military saying it shot down or neutralized 139 of them.
00:22At least one person was injured in the northern Sumy region when a village was targeted,
00:27causing a large-scale fire, Ukraine's state emergency service said.
00:33Russia's defense ministry claimed on Sunday to have captured the village of Rupnopoli and Malatokmashka
00:39in the southern Zaporydzha region, as intense fighting continues on the front line.
00:46Meanwhile, Russia said it shot down 57 Ukrainian drones overnight. In a post on X,
00:51Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Kyiv is working to restart prisoner exchanges with Russia.
01:02Consultative meeting of the heads of states of Central Asia in Tashkent, Uzbekistan,
01:07delivered a landmark outcome. Leaders unanimously approved the accession of Azerbaijan as a full
01:13member of the format. As the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Merzioev described it's a step
01:20that opens a new phase of cooperation and helping shape a unified space between Central Asia
01:26and the South Caucasus. In his address, the President outlined seven key priorities for advancing
01:32what he called a new Central Asia. He highlighted rapid progress in regional integration,
01:39noting that borders have reopened, territorial issues have been resolved,
01:44and cooperation in energy, transport and trade is expanding. Mutual trade has now reached $10.7 billion,
01:53with investment growing by 17%. Azerbaijan's President Ilkham Aliyev stressed that although
01:59his country is geographically located in the South Caucasus, intensive cooperation has led to the
02:05formation of a shared geopolitical and geoeconomic space with Central Asia. On his side, the President
02:12of Kazakhstan, Kasim Jumar Tokayev stressed, among others, the prospects for cooperation in the field
02:18of rare earth metal mining. On Saturday, the Presidents of Central Asia and Azerbaijan had the opportunity
02:25to visit the brand-new Center for Islamic Civilization in the city of Tashkent. They all emphasized the importance
02:33of strengthening cultural and civilizational ties between the countries of the region.

02:47Poland is implementing additional security measures at its border with Belarus to bolster its defenses
02:52against hybrid threats. Officials said on Friday that an additional mesh fence will be installed at the
02:58border in the northeastern Podlaski province. It will run alongside the road and the existing
03:05metal barrier on the border. The new fence will also help the country's border guard control immigration
03:11and detain migrants who managed to cross the first barrier. The structure is planned to be around 4
03:18meters high and will be coupled with barbed wire running along it. The fence will also be equipped
03:24with thermal imaging cameras, which will be mounted on 10-meter high poles. Materials for its construction
03:31are already being sent to the border, with completion expected in the coming months.
03:40Home Secretary Shabana Mahmoud will announce new asylum reforms on Monday, such as the UK increasing its
03:48permanent settlement waiting time from 5 to 20 years. Mahmoud said the UK will welcome those
03:55fleeing war and danger, but will introduce stricter rules like other European countries.
