00:00Tim, we need to talk about this Jalen Hurts situation.
00:02It is such a murky situation on each side that you go to.
00:08There have been people that have mocked Jalen Hurts and said that he was faking it.
00:15There's other people that are saying, okay, this is a serious health issue.
00:19Now there's legal ramifications, and there's malpractice going on with the medical and the training staff.
00:24Tim, where do you fall on this whole Jalen Hurts situation?
00:27Because we got more information on Monday about him.
00:31They're trying to keep him awake for 36 hours, and they played him still through that first blood clot issue.
00:37What is happening?
00:39So I just want to start.
00:41The word of the day, like Sesame Street, is irresponsible.
00:47It was irresponsible on any commentator to say that he was faking it.
00:51How the hell do you know?
00:53You know anything about a blood clot?
00:54Can you fake a blood clot?
00:56Stop it.
00:57That was irresponsible take number one.
01:02And then the Eagles were clearly irresponsible because the moment you tell a player, hey, man, I think you shouldn't
01:10go to sleep.
01:12There's been conflicting reports that he actually got some sleep, and he got some sleep at the stadium on Sunday
01:18morning in London.
01:18But if you tell a player at any point you should not go to sleep because of a blood clot,
01:24he shouldn't be playing on the blood clot, and then damn sure he shouldn't be flying back seven hours across
01:30the Atlantic Ocean on a blood clot.
01:32What are we doing?
01:34It seems as if, obviously, Jalen Hurt lobbied to play to the point that he was sleeping at the stadium.
01:41So he takes responsibility in this, too.
01:44But ultimately, in the end, it's on the Eagles to save the player.
01:48That's why you get paid.
01:50They wanted to win the game.
01:51They wanted to get back into this division.
01:53It was malpractice to put your player.
01:56It's not like it's a broken pinky.
01:58This is his life on the line.
02:01And they were irresponsible to let him play.
02:03And they may have to pay for it eventually.
02:05Maybe not with the salary cap.
02:07But, hey, them cheesesteaks might cost $45 soon because the Eagles might not be going to have to pay up
02:12Jalen Hurtz one way or another.
02:14John?
02:15If Jalen Hurtz doesn't like football, we're about to find out because they're going to owe him to the tune
02:24of about $300 million.
02:26And that's being generous.
02:29Really?
02:30Because think about it.
02:31Because you got to think about it like this.
02:32The last time he signed the contract, he became the highest paid player in the history of football.
02:37Yes, he did.
02:38Any lawyer, better call Saul, could go in a courtroom, in a civil courtroom and say, hey, this is what
02:45he got last time.
02:46He's a Super Bowl winning champion.
02:48And look at this winning record.
02:49If the Eagles weren't going to pay him this on the open market, he could have still maintained the highest
02:56salary in the history of football.
02:58And that would have been around $350, give or take.
03:02So, we'll call it even at $300.
03:05How about that?
03:06And because it's an open and shut case, because it's doctor versus doctor, putting him on that plane back to
03:15Philadelphia is where they will lose.
03:17Because you can, like Tim said, him wanting to play, he knows the risk.
03:22You've told him, hey, you have a blood clot.
03:24This is what could happen.
03:25He's a football player.
03:27He didn't fly all that way to watch it.
03:29He wanted to play.
03:30So, they allowed him to play.
03:32Now, from a medical professional standpoint, you could have said to him, hey, now, we can't let you get back
03:38on this plane until we run XYZ a test.
03:40So, you're going to have to stay here in London for the next couple of weeks or the next week
03:45or so until we can get you in a situation where we feel like, from our medical advice, we are
03:51comfortable at the Philadelphia Eagles medical team putting you on an airplane.
03:56Nobody did that.
03:58Nobody did that.
03:59Nobody did that.
04:00So, we're talking about malpractice.
04:01It's medical malpractice.
04:03Yeah.
04:04It put him in a situation that he could have lost his life on that airplane.
04:09Not his career.
04:10His life.
04:11It's medical malpractice.
04:11It's medical malpractice.
04:11It's medical malpractice.
