00:00Alright, well children today we want to be mindful of what's going on obviously here in our own city.
00:15Who of you have had a lot of rain just the last several days?
00:19You pretty crazy? Yeah? Yeah.
00:22Who here likes the rain? Do any of you actually like the rain?
00:25A little bit? Yeah. If I'm honest too, I'm kind of like that.
00:29We need the rain, yes, but ideally we would like it to be.
00:35Sun is shining all the time, warmer weather.
00:38Now I see everybody's wet, like look, Ali you've got your vest on that's keeping you warm.
00:42I've got my sweater down too.
00:45But we want to be sensitive of course to the fact that our own fellow countrymen and women in the Philippines
00:52have had crazy amounts of rain.
00:55You've seen the news, you've seen the really sad things going on back home in the Philippines.
01:01Typhoons, thank you. How many typhoons have you heard of recently?
01:06There have been two in fact. One right after the other.
01:10And it's been a sad state of affairs for the people there.
01:14So if you think we have a lot of rainfall and a lot of slick roads and even flooding, as we've seen here.
01:22In fact, when we were driving home last night from a wedding, I'm looking at my GPS and it said,
01:31Okay, flooding ahead a couple of miles. And so I'm like starting to slow down.
01:35Lizette rightly said, flooding naman tong lagay na to?
01:39I'm like, yeah, here, this is flooding. This is flooding for us.
01:45Yeah, move up a little bit so they can see. Perfect.
01:48Perfect.
01:49But before we go to what we're going to kind of end a little bit somberly today to think of the people that have lost homes,
01:58even those that have lost lives in the Philippines.
02:01But we want to be reminded of the truth and the hope of the gospel.
02:04So please, Quiadre, make us hear.
02:06This is a wonderful verse that reminds us.
02:09Let's say it together.
02:11Should we read as well?
02:12Jesus said, truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me,
02:21it actually turns on.
02:23John 5, 24.
02:26Now, again, we're going to end this time to simply pray for and think of the people that have lost homes,
02:34lost livelihood, and even worse for those that have lost loved ones.
02:40And now that they're surviving, trying to kind of go into their lives and move forward as much as they possibly can.
02:48But remember this hope of the gospel.
02:50And we pray that, of course, whether it's people in the Philippines or all around the world,
02:55and even for ourselves here, that everybody will hear the word of God and believe him.
03:00That is Jesus who was sent by God and will have eternal life.
03:04So let's hold our hands, bow our heads, close our eyes, and let's pray together.
03:10Say, Father God.
03:11Father God.
03:14For our lives.
03:15For our lives.
03:16Help me.
03:17Help me.
03:18To never.
03:19To never.
03:20Take each day.
03:21Take each day.
03:22For granted.
03:23For granted.
03:24To be thankful.
03:25To be thankful.
03:26For all things.
03:27All things.
03:28At all times.
03:29At all times.
03:30At all times.
03:31Even.
03:32Even.
03:33For the weather.
03:34For the weather.
03:35That we experience.
03:36That we experience.
03:37And sometimes.
03:38And sometimes.
03:39The inconvenience.
03:40The inconvenience.
03:41In my causes.
03:42In my causes.
03:44We pray.
03:45We pray.
03:46For our fellow.
03:47For our fellow.
03:48Country member women.
03:50Country man and women.
03:51In the Philippines.
03:52And the Philippines.
03:53Especially those.
03:54Especially those.
03:56Especially those.
03:57Who lost their homes.
03:58Who lost their homes.
03:59And their livelihood.
04:00Their livelihood.
04:01And loved ones.
04:02And loved ones.
04:03Protect them.
04:04Protect them.
04:05And provide them.
04:06Provide for them.
04:07Dare for them.
04:08And comfort them.
04:09for them, and comfort them, and remind them of the hope that is found in Jesus Christ.
04:20In whose name we pray, amen.
04:23Amen.
04:24Thank you, kids.
04:25You'll be where your teacher lives at.
04:28Let's give him a hand.
