00:09gave me plants to plant, I was able to harvest my very first calabaza.
00:18My very first calabaza. The very first calabaza I had, I gave it to the Lord. You know what I
00:24did? I gave it to the Lord's servant, I gave it to Pastor David. So I had this first calabaza,
00:30which I had dedicated to the Lord, and you can cook this, Abigail, and you can have such a wonderful
00:36time today.
00:37Not only that, not only that, from a family, Andrea's family gave me, I noticed that they gave me this
00:46beautiful, beautiful tree. It was a guava tree. You know something? After the guava tree, I gave this. I gave
00:55three guavas. Right. And I do want to give this to the Lord also, the first fruit.
01:01Now what I'm saying to you is this. How many of you receive what is called allowances? Do you get
01:08money allowances? Do you? Tyler? Do you? Okay. Okay. How about, Samantha, have you received allowances from your dad? Okay.
01:19How much?
01:20Oh, you don't know yet. How about, Nathan, how much allowance do you get from your dad and mom? One
01:29dollar every year?
01:31Okay. Ah, okay. Here's what you do. Here's what you do. Okay, parents, I want you to teach your children.
01:38I want to teach you a truth and a reality. Okay, more than mine. Okay?
01:43Start when you are still young. Whatever money you have, 10% of that goes to the Lord. Goes to
01:52the Lord. 10% of that. So, if you have one dollar, what is 10% of one dollar?
02:00One dollar. 10% of that goes to the Lord. Start when you are young. Because the moment you make
02:16a box, it will be hungry to give one payment to the Lord.
02:19When you make 10,000, it will so hard to give one thousand to the Lord. But start young. And
02:26you know what? The verse doesn't end there. Let me tell you what Solomon said in Proverbs chapter 3.
02:31If you do so, if you honor the Lord, the first book of your produce, you know what God is
02:37going to do? He will bless your life. Verse number 10.
02:41Your vats will be failed to overflowing. And not only that, your wine will produce a lot more wine if
02:49you make. That is not the promise of the pastor. That is the promise of God.
02:53In Malachi chapter 3, God told the children of Israel, Prove me not this day, if I will open the
03:00windows of heaven, and for blessings you have no room to contain.
03:04As children, we were taught by our parents at times, and it was hard for me at first when I
03:10made my first face up, because 10% of that goes to the Lord.
03:14But then, when I started that discipline, whatever the Lord gives us, 10% of that goes to the Lord.
03:21May I tell you a story, my personal story, okay? All this, okay?
03:26Usually that I have, in the Philippines, we have what is called, 5 centavos.
03:32Do you remember that, your cinco? Yes.
03:34In Philly Brown? Yes.
03:35My mom said, okay, now, the cinco here, that is for you.
03:40Ice cream or whatever, I was going to church.
03:43You were walking to church, sa Pilafel, sa Pugat Blapoy.
03:47And then, on my right hand, Natalie said, that cinco is for your offering.
03:54Give it to Jesus.
03:56Okay?
03:56So I was walking, I was walking, I was walking, I was pushing.
04:00My friend, David Ruben, who brought me to you all over, and then when I pushed him, he pushed me
04:06back, and I fell to the ground.
04:07And then I opened my hand.
04:09And you know what?
04:10I cannot find the five centavos on my right hand.
04:14And so you know what I said?
04:16Ay, no, I see you, good and yours.
04:20But the cinco, that's for me, I kept it.
04:23And when I came home, I told my mom, guess what I received?
04:27Spanking.
04:28No, waka ganyan, give the cinco to the Lord.
04:31Never ever think that way.
04:33As a kid, I want to start you off with something that is very significant.
04:39Whenever you receive anything, whatever first fruit you have, whether that is your allowance, it will eventually become your salary.
04:48Honor the Lord with your substance.
04:51Honor the Lord with the first fruit of your substance.
04:53Got it?
04:54Pull your hands, bow your hands, go to life.
04:56Pray with me.
04:57Say, loving God, you are so good to us.
05:00Every need we have, you supply even much more.
05:06Much, much more.
05:08You are asking only a small percent of what we have, which came from you.
05:16You commanded us to honor you with that gift.
05:22Help us not to be stingy, but to be generous and give it to you.
