02:40That's a simple enough verse, isn't it?
02:42The point of this verse is to show that Jesus wept because his friend Lazarus, say Lazarus.
02:51His friend Lazarus died, and Jesus cried.
02:55He wept because he was sad that his good friend, his dear friend Lazarus, had died.
03:00But the story doesn't end there, children.
03:02The story ends on a happy note where Jesus calls out to Lazarus and says,
03:06Lazarus, come forth.
03:08And what happens to the dead man?
03:10He rises up, and he's alive again.
03:13That is what Jesus means when he says before this verse,
03:17I am the resurrection and the life.
03:19Whoever believes in me, though he dies, yet he shall live forevermore.
03:23So, once again, for one last time, our verse.
03:27Jesus wept, John 11, 35.
03:34Father God, thank you for sending your son.
03:39Jesus, who cries with me, who rejoices with me.
03:48Everything I go through, you are there.
