00:10Paul begins this section by thanking the Philippians for their renewed concern for him.

02:03Now he tells us to walk in contentment.
02:05Contentment begins in the mind before it shows up in our emotions.

02:16Contentment is the fruit of intentionality.
02:19While the Holy Spirit performs our sanctification, it does not happen unless we are intentional about the partnership.
02:27Intentional partnership leads to intentionality about the partners God is placing in our lives,
02:33whether from our local church, our small groups, our workplace, or even strangers we bump into in day-to-day
02:40life.
02:41Paul then gives us one of the most quoted verses in Scripture.
02:45He says he can do all things through Christ who gives him strength.
02:49Paul is not talking about achievement.
02:52Paul is talking about endurance.
02:54Paul is talking about contentment.
02:58Paul is talking about partnership.
03:01Christ strengthens us to endure.
03:03Christ strengthens us to remain faithful.
03:06Christ strengthens us to remain content.
03:10Christ strengthens us to remain generous.

03:28Paul is teaching us that contentment is not only something God gives.

03:35Contentment is strengthened when we practice what Christ has taught us.

03:45Contentment is strengthened when we partner with the Holy Spirit in our thoughts and in our actions.
03:51Contentment is strengthened when we invest in others with presence, generosity, and consideration.
03:58Contentment is strengthened when we put truth into practice.
04:02As you reflect on today's reading, ask God to help you pursue contentment through partnership.
04:08You do not have to endure alone.
04:11You do not have to remain faithful alone.
04:14You do not have to cultivate contentment alone.
04:17Let partnership challenge you to trust Christ's sufficiency.
04:22Let partnership strengthen your endurance.
04:25And let the presence of Christ become the pathway through which He continues His work in you.
