'Yellowstone' has officially resumed production on season five. Paramount Network announced that filming on the Western hit's final season five episodes is now underway in Montana. While the start of production was later than previously thought, MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios still expect the drama to return in November, as previously announced last year.

00:04Paramount Network announced Monday that filming on the Western Hits' final Season 5 episodes is now underway in Montana.

00:11While the start of production was later than previously thought,

00:14MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios still expect the drama to return in November, as previously announced last year.

00:21Monday's announcement did not include an update on the show's cast,

00:24or whether star Kevin Costner will make an appearance in the final episodes that are expected to wrap the series.

00:30Yellowstone aired its most recent episode more than a year ago, back in January 2023,

00:35amid Paramount Network deciding to split the season into two parts.

00:38Talks of infighting over scheduling and script delays between Costner and showrunner Taylor Sheridan ensued for many months,

00:45with Costner also focusing on his upcoming Western epic Horizon, An American Saga.

00:49Costner recently said he would like to be able to return to the show to finish his character.

00:53Here's what he told Entertainment Tonight.

00:55Maybe this will circle back to me. If it does, then I feel really comfortable with it.

00:59I'd love to do it.

01:01However, if Costner's not involved at this stage, with scripts complete and filming underway,

01:06it's starting to seem less likely that he will be.

01:08An official episode count also has yet to be revealed by the network.

01:11Sheridan has previously said he might make more than the previously reported six final episodes.
