'Saturday Night Live' is getting back into the studio to start its 46th season on NBC.

00:00Saturday Night Live is returning to the iconic studio 8H to start season 46 on NBC.
00:06The premiere will mark the first in-studio edition of SNL in nearly seven months.
00:10The show's last episode before the coronavirus pandemic shut down production aired on March 7th, with Daniel Craig hosting.

00:26Three remote editions of the show closed out the season in the spring with cast members and some special guests all performing from their homes.

00:42The NBC sketch comedy series has set October 3rd for its season premiere, once again airing live across the country at 1130 p.m. Eastern, 830 p.m. Pacific.
00:51The show's return to in-studio production follows that of a number of other late-night programs, like NBC's The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers.
01:00SNL has a much larger cast than those shows and more moving parts with multiple sketches and musical performances.
