00:18The Constitutional Court also gave the green light to opposition leader Anisset-Georges
00:23de Ogulé and five other candidates for the December 28 vote. Tuadera first took office
00:30in 2016 and was re-elected five years later. He's one of Russia's closest African allies
00:37and CAR, one of the first countries to allow the mercenary Wagner Group to establish operations.
00:44It's pledged to help fight rebel groups and restore peace in exchange for gaining access
00:50to the country's mineral resources.
