00:24I don't know if you saw, Reed Shepard had a fantastic night on Wednesday.

00:28We talked about it.

00:29And somebody brought it to Reed that apparently a man, or actually Reed talked about this.

00:34Apparently a man talked to Reed in the weight room and said, quote,

00:38if you take one more dribble when you're open, I'm going to punch you in the face.

00:52Why is that?

00:54I've been wanting him to be an integral part.

00:57I think we've landed on maybe not starting, but integral.

01:24You see it right now with Reed that entirely focused on getting his shot up.

01:30I think that this is why I'm not necessarily as invested in Reed Shepard as playmaker,

01:35ball handler, point guard, per se.

01:37More minutes.

01:38Definitely some more minutes so that he can be out there.

01:40But the, the, the, the willingness to shoot and the marksmanship that he's displaying.

01:46I think that it shows with confidence.

01:47Confidence is a word that I've used with Reed a lot.

01:49And it feels like you have someone like a man who, mind you, will do it.

01:54Like this doesn't feel like an empty threat.

01:55A man Thompson, we know.

01:57He might even punch him.

01:58He'd get a little rough.

01:59Even his brother was like, he was a little, he was a little rough.

02:02So the idea that a man threatened violence for Reed, if he did not, I think that one,

02:06it shows the confidence that this team has, the way that they're building each other up.

02:10And you're seeing, you're seeing the dividends.

03:43And the thing that is funny is I was thinking about this when I went to, what was it, a week

03:47and a week and a half ago.

03:48The game that I went to was Rockets, Mavs, when the Mavs came into town.

03:51And I was thinking about it, that R logo, thinking back to those eras of Harden, it doesn't

03:58really fit with the jersey of what they have now.

04:00Not that I'm saying that they need to do a complete rebrand.

04:02I don't think they should do that.

04:03But they're really heavy on the block letters now, so I'm interested where they go with

04:07it.

04:07Do they keep that kind of style, or do they kind of change some of the word marks?

04:11And then really, I think we're all, as a city, it feels like clamoring for something.

04:16And I think that would be hot.

04:17Yeah, and I think this is just the new team in general, man.

04:20And I don't think anybody, I think outside of Capella, who just came back this year,

04:26I think they do need a new brand, a kind of a rebrand for this one.

04:31So you got something, and Figgy with a little bit of everything in there.

04:37Because I'll go back to Wednesday once again, because obviously they were off last night.

04:41And the 832 actually texting right at the right time, something in that similar vein.

04:45They asked, was there anything said about Eason and Adams' scuffle?

04:49Well, being Tari Eason and Steven Adams.

04:51During this game, especially in the third quarter, things around that time, Tari Eason,

04:57some people in the building, people that were watching the game, seemed to notice him having

05:01like a little bit of a weird demeanor.

05:03Seeming like having a little bit of a raised or elevated conversation, so to say, on the

05:09sideline.

05:09At one point, Roy Alivey, and then at points in the game, just kind of maybe posting himself

05:13in the corner and maybe not looking engaged or active with what's happening.

05:17Of course, he's still knocking down shots.

05:19He's still producing.

05:20However, there's been some little interesting instances of Tari Eason, remind you, a player

05:24who did not have a deal done before the deadline to make it happen.

05:30So he will be a restricted free agent.

05:32Is this something?

05:33Is this nothing?

05:34Is this everything?

05:35It's something.

05:36It is always something when a contract is involved and then we have to talk about that.

05:42I mean, that's definitely part of the factor.

05:45It's a factor here.

05:47I'm not going to say, I'm not going to overdo it because I think it's something that can be

05:51sort of handled and talked about.

05:56But it's not nothing.

05:58It's not nothing at all.

05:59It's funny because I found the Wizards being the opponent on that night interesting with

06:04it too because it was a return to Cam Woodmore and Cam very much you could see having some

06:09not similar demeanor things because I think it was a little bit different, but you could

06:13see him clearly languishing under the circumstance where there just weren't minutes for him, whether

06:20it was based off of the way that he played and maybe a disagreement in that style with

06:25what Imei wanted to do or whatever else might have been happening.

06:28And I don't think that's quite happening with Tari because Tari is integral to what they

06:32do.

06:32He's an important piece off the bench and he's been playing really well, but it does feel

06:36like there's something there.

06:37I just don't know to what level of something.

06:39It feels like this team has great vibes and at some point them being together will help

06:44ease that.

06:45But at the same time, I could also argue it's really early for you to have little negative

06:51for lack of a better term, little negative things happening like this to where you're

06:54kind of butting heads.

06:55But how much of that is just the nature of team sports where you have people in this

06:59environment working together and at times they might have disagreements?

07:02Yeah, that last part you just said, I think it's something because of that.

07:06I'm not sure if it's because of the whole contract thing because I feel like Tari is having a really

07:12good year right now to the point it's kind of looking a little smart on his part where maybe

07:17he could get a little more.

07:19I'm not sure.

07:20I don't know how long it's going to last, the way he's playing this season, but I think

07:26it's more to the last part Reggie said.

07:27That's my son.

07:28See, I'm there where that old saying, it's always about the money.

07:33Now maybe there was another basketball team, whether it's a middle school team or an NBA

07:39team.

07:40We either played at some level.

07:41And when it comes down to minutes, you know, minutes is what it's all about, you know,

07:46playing time and the minutes translate to dollars, you know, at the NBA level.

07:50So I think they are intertwined.

07:52I'm not going to go over the top here because I think it's something that Emei Adoka especially

07:56can handle, but it's something.

07:59Yeah.

07:59I think the thing is with him playing really good this season so far and maybe maybe he

08:05want more minutes.

08:06Yeah.

08:07I think that could have an effect like, man, this is kind of messing up my money right now.

08:11It's always about the money.

08:12Yeah.

08:12His, his minutes are right on pace with what they were last season.

08:16Now, of course he didn't play, he only played 57 games.

08:19It was kind of that management.

08:20He has played in all 10 to this point.

08:24It's weird.

08:24Cause I, in my head, I don't know that he's like, I need more minutes.

08:28It feels like his role is pretty well situated there.

08:31And I think that you could, I don't know that maybe, maybe within himself, he argues that

08:34there's more.

08:34Everybody needs more minutes.

08:36But see, the thing is, I feel like he's kind of banking on himself a little bit too.

08:40Like get a big contract.

08:42I mean, we know how, where you played, everybody wants more minutes.

08:46I mean, to some degree, but it feels like, especially if he's in on this team, which I

08:50believe him to be, that it would make sense that this is the role that you serve and that

08:54it's a very vital one and it's important, but only God knows.

08:57We'll see if this continues to be a thing or if this is just like a little blip.
