00:00Well, I had auditioned for the movie of fame, and I had auditioned and gotten one callback

00:21and then not gotten the role, and the role had gone to the fabulous morning TV.

00:24This is the second floor. Miss Sherwood's class is on the first floor.

00:31When you're hot, you're hot.

00:38Two years went by. I was on Broadway. I had just been understudying in a Broadway show.

00:43I had just taken over, getting ready to take over that show, and I started auditioning for the pilot.

00:49And it came down to testing, and they tested three actresses, which were myself, Jennifer Grey, and Fran Drescher.

00:57And I got the role.

00:59Aren't you a little old to go trick-or-treating? Waka, waka, waka.

01:02I will say, when I went and auditioned for the television series, I thought, this is me. I have to get this. I have to get this.

01:09There wasn't even a thing in my mind where I went, I won't. It's just that was it. I was going to get that role.
