00:00Why did I leave? Did I miss the cast and crew? How did I cope with that change?

00:05I left because it was time. I left because my five-year contract essentially was up.

00:12I left because as much as I loved doing it, I had... I ran out of tricks.

00:19I ran out of... I didn't really have anything more to say.

00:24And I wanted to get back to the theater. I wanted to do other things.

00:29Playing the same character for five years is exhausting.

00:34And it... as I say, I just... it was time.

00:41I did do more theater work. I traveled all up and down the West Coast doing wonderful plays.

00:48Long Day's Journey Into Night, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, all sorts of fabulous roles.

00:55I did a little bit more television, a little bit of film.

00:59But my heart has always been in the theater.

01:02Going back for the final episode was not a big emotional event.

01:08It was nice to be back. We filmed it.

01:12It was nice to say goodbye.

01:14That's all.

01:15Public displays of the function were so tacky.
