00:00Look, I mean, I do not want to see tax rises, and I certainly don't want to see income tax going up.
00:06But it is extraordinary that they were even floating this in the first place, breaking a manifesto commitment.
00:13It's already had a negative impact on the confidence of households who are worried that they were going to have to find more money to pay in taxes.
00:25The question now is, where is the money going to come from?
00:28And I really do worry. We've already seen businesses struggling because of the huge taxes that they've been forced to pay.
00:36And it just goes to show that, you know, they tried, they said they were going to deal with welfare.
00:41They got the backlash from their party and they capitulated.
00:45And now clearly the same has happened here with the debacle that we've seen this last week.
00:50It just shows that there's no backbone in this government.
