02:50Hey guys, welcome back to the workshop.
02:53Eight of you are standing strong in the competition,
02:56but only one of you will walk out of here with a leading role
02:59in a Hallmark holiday movie and be crowned Mr. Christmas.
03:03Alright.
03:05One of the best parts about Christmas are the baked goods.
03:08Every season, you can count on sweet shortbread,
03:11my favorite, the festive fruitcake,
03:15and the holiday headliner, the gingerbread house.
03:18Yeah.
03:19In this festive face-off, each of you will be given
03:22a cookie foundation to build your magical manor.
03:25Don't get me wrong, I love my cookies,
03:28but building a gingerbread house,
03:30there's a lot of fine little details in there.
03:32When your gingerbread house is done,
03:34you will have to put it on the table
03:35to make a gingerbread village.
03:38Whoo, okay.
03:39I actually have some experience building gingerbread houses,
03:43so watch out, guys.
03:44I'm coming for y'all.
03:46We want you to create a house that reflects you
03:48and your holiday spirit.
03:50Let's find out something new about you
03:51by looking at your gingerbread house.
03:54You will not only be judged by the quality of your craft,
03:57but also the story behind your house.
04:00The holiday homestead that stands out the most,
04:02wins, and gets an advantage going into the star quality challenge.
04:06Yeah!
04:07Yeah!
04:08All right, boys.
04:10Are you ready to build some sweet memories?
04:12Yeah!
04:13Let's do it.
04:14You have 35 minutes to complete your frosty fortress.
04:19Ready, set, build!
04:21Oh, shoot, I got this here, sorry.
04:24No, it's okay.
04:25Ooh!
04:26All right, here we go.
04:27Oh, my gosh.
04:28Have you ever built any red houses, man?
04:30Not since elementary school, actually.
04:32We have to go with the red licorice first.
04:35My mom used to get this when we would go on, like, trips,
04:38especially when we go to see family for, like, Christmas time.
04:41So, what are you doing?
04:42Why'd you go with the red licorice?
04:44I'm making a red schoolhouse.
04:45Oh!
04:46Christmas, for me, is all about your loved ones
04:48and your chosen family.
04:50I had a drama mentor when I was in high school,
04:52and I want to make this as an homage to him.
04:55You know, the teachers, like, have, like,
04:57such a huge part on your life.
04:59Yeah, no, that's a great idea.
05:00So, for this challenge,
05:01the first thing I think of is my girlfriend.
05:03She absolutely loves gingerbread houses.
05:06She'll buy them.
05:07She'll build them.
05:08She's bringing the house to life, you know?
05:09Christmas tree in the front.
05:10Me and my girlfriend in the front.
05:13I want to go with something
05:15that feels like the house that I grew up in.
05:18I knew right off the bat
05:19my gingerbread house had to be a white Christmas.
05:21Seeing these lights here
05:22makes me think of putting up Christmas lights.
05:24It was mostly my dad, actually, growing up,
05:26but when we got old enough,
05:27that was our holiday chore,
05:29putting up Christmas lights with my brothers.
05:31Now, being a dad,
05:32last year was the first year I put Christmas lights up
05:34on my own house,
05:35and I can't wait to continue that tradition
05:37with my own son.
05:38Are you going to teach Soto about Santa?
05:41For sure.
05:42How long are you going to take it?
05:43Until he's in high school.
05:45Everyone here is different,
05:48has a different background,
05:49and has a different story.
05:51I wanted to add a lot of color
05:53to my gingerbread house.
05:54When I was young,
05:55cereal was one thing I always ate.
05:57I'm putting cereals in the roof,
05:59little by little,
06:00but it's taking a long time.
06:03The thing is,
06:04would I be able to finish the roof?
06:06Oh, okay.
06:07You're bringing out the popcorn.
06:08Oh, man.
06:09See what you can do with that.
06:10So long.
06:11Why is this so long?
06:12Well, we have scissors, Craig.
06:13What is that?
06:14That's insane.
06:15Think 1990s thing.
06:16Boombox?
06:18Little boombox.
06:19Okay, okay, okay.
06:20Boombox.
06:21I like that.
06:22Five minutes left.
06:24How's it going, Angel?
06:25Remember, you have to have your house on this table
06:31to create a village when the time is up.
06:33I'm feeling some pressure.
06:34I'm not going to lie here, guys.
06:35Yes, yeah.
06:36All right.
06:37I'm going to go ahead and move my gingerbread house
06:38to the village.
06:39All right.
06:40We got one house coming over to the village.
06:42I spent so much time on these lights.
06:45I hope it pays off.
06:46One minute left.
06:47All of the houses have to create the village
06:50or it doesn't count.
06:51Why is this moving?
06:52I'm on the move.
06:53Rustin, behind you.
06:54All right.
06:55We got Davey on the move.
06:56At this point, I have to get this house finished
06:58and get it on the table.
07:00All right.
07:01This is the final push.
07:02Gabe has moved.
07:03We got Robbie's moving.
07:04Whatever side you want to face front, face front.
07:06Looking at the other gingerbread houses,
07:08I feel like I didn't do enough.
07:10Everybody else's house is so elaborate.
07:12Wherever you want to go.
07:14Looks like we're losing candy left and right.
07:16Five, four, three, two, one.
07:21Oh, put down the frosting.
07:23Your time's up.
07:24That was insane.
07:25That was insane.
07:26These look awesome.
07:28Before we start checking if your gingerbread houses are up to code,
07:32I need to bring out a special guest judge for this one.
07:35She's the executive editor at People and an expert in all things Hallmark,
07:40Breanne Heldman.
07:42Hi, guys.
07:44So good to see you.
07:47Hi.
07:48Welcome, Breanne.
07:49It is so good to be here.
07:50You bring me into rooms with all of the best looking men.
07:53You know, it's a tough day at work.
07:54This is a really hard day at work.
07:55So today, we're looking for the guy that built their gingerbread house with love,
07:59a personal story, and Christmas spirit.
08:02So Frank Lloyd, Mr. Right Now.
08:04Yeah.
08:05Oh!
08:06Okay.
08:07Davey, tell us about your gingerbread house.
08:10We put lights on the house every year, and there are gingerbread people around my house,
08:14representing my mom, my dad, my two brothers and I.
08:17You made the gingerbread house a home.
08:19I did.
08:20Great job.
08:21Thank you.
08:22Thanks.
08:23Angel!
08:24The snow reminds me when I moved to the United States.
08:27I've never seen snow in my life.
08:29The cereal on the side of the roof just reminds me when my mom had multiple jobs.
08:35She's a single mother.
08:36She worked really hard to make sure my sister and I have a roof over our heads
08:42and presents for Christmas.
08:44So she left me at home by myself, and I just ate a bunch of cereal.
08:49When I was running out of time, towards the end, I don't know if you can see,
08:53it looks different from the beginning.
08:54Oh, we saw.
08:55We saw you throwing the snow on there.
08:58Angel, great job.
08:59Thank you.
09:00Robbie!
09:01So I wanted to make this schoolhouse.
09:03In front, there are two gingerbread men, and that is me and my drama mentor.
09:08I think that we're such a product of our teachers.
09:11They shape who we are today, and so I really wanted to celebrate him.
09:15He taught me so much about the craft of acting.
09:18He also had a husband, and so it was the first role model that I met that had a beautiful life
09:24and just really shaped the life that I wanted as a gay man moving forward, and I'm really grateful for him.
09:29Robbie, well done.
09:30Rustin, there is so much going on in this gingerbread house.
09:34Half of a roof is gone.
09:36What village is complete without a theater?
09:39So if you look at the very back, there's a stage built in there.
09:42Oh my God, there is.
09:43And rows of audience members that are watching.
09:45My whole family was in a Christian worship band, and I had the worst stage fright.
09:50And so my dad, he built a stage in our house so that we could practice what it was like to perform for an audience,
09:56so that we could gain more confidence.
09:58My dad asked me if I wanted him to build a tree house, and I was like, no, can you build a stage in the basement?
10:04Which is what he did.
10:06And when parents understand that they have a child that performs and they just embrace it,
10:11it helps those kids shine so much, and I can see it in you.
10:15Thank you.
10:17Logan, tell us a bit about your gingerbread house.
10:20The fireplace, when I was a kid, being by a warm fireside opening presence, I don't know,
10:26I could just picture it every time I think about Christmas.
10:29Love it.
10:30That is so sweet.
10:31And I do love the ice cream cone as the chimney.
10:33That's really clever.
10:34Thank you.
10:35Thank you.
10:36Gabriel.
10:37So my house is a mix between a lot of memories from childhood, the seashells on the roof.
10:41We used to go to Newport every Christmas, and it was a really good part of my childhood.
10:46My girlfriend, Andrea, she just had our first child, Jory.
10:51I just remember Christmases being the best time ever, and I want that for my daughter.
10:55That's so sweet.
10:57Craig, what is happening here, Craig?
11:00I want the story.
11:01I need to know.
11:02Kick it.
11:03Now, I'm not a rapper, per se.
11:06I just have the ability to rap.
11:08It's a 1990s gingerbread house.
11:10Ten guys, Jonathan and Brienne in a blouse.
11:13You already know I'm here for the win.
11:15Let's go three for three and do this again.
11:18Nice.
11:19Okay.
11:20You got dinner and a show, Brienne.
11:22Wow.
11:23I'm so flattered.
11:24Thank you.
11:25I mean, house and blouse.
11:26Thank God she wore a blouse.
11:28This is a 1990s gingerbread house.
11:31I was born in 91, and for me, Christmas is all about being a kid.
11:35You'll notice a cartoon taking place.
11:37What is this?
11:38Hand that to Brienne, if you don't mind.
11:39Hand that to Brienne, okay.
11:40And Jonathan, take the other one.
11:41Okay.
11:42So this was my favorite game in the 90s.
11:44Jonathan.
11:45And Brienne.
11:46Brienne, are you home?
11:47Over.
11:48I am home.
11:49Over.
11:50What are you making for Christmas dinner?
11:52I don't cook.
11:53Really great presentation.
11:55This was so creative.
11:57Thank you.
11:58Marcus.
11:59My girlfriend loves gingerbread houses, so right there at the front, we have me and my girlfriend
12:03at the house breeding everybody with our Christmas tree.
12:06We have a horse symbolizing like a stable.
12:08My girlfriend loves animals.
12:09That's for her.
12:10And on the other side, we have stuff for my girlfriend's lake house, which is actually the
12:14first time I told my girlfriend that I loved her.
12:16Your girlfriend rides horses.
12:17She loves horses.
12:18Yes.
12:19Do you love horses?
12:20You know, I've actually never ridden a horse.
12:22But then you have a horse on your display to show your girlfriend and then you have the
12:27lake house part of it from your girlfriend's lake house.
12:29I want to know Marcus.
12:30Yeah.
12:31Yeah.
12:32We got some crafters in this group.
12:33Yeah.
12:34Well done boys.
12:35Really impressive.
12:36Thank you so much for opening up and sharing your personal stories with us.
12:39I was surprised the level of detail and craftsmanship some of the other guys were able
12:44to implement into their gingerbread house.
12:46But overall, I think my presentation went well.
12:48The winner of this festive face-off, who's at the top of the nice list, is...
12:57Robby, congratulations.
12:59Good job, guys.
13:01Awesome.
13:02Good job.
13:03Thank you.
13:04Robby, that's two festive face-offs in a row.
13:05It feels so good.
13:06We all are here because of the people that shaped us.
13:08And to get to do something that honors them, it just like means the world.
13:12I'm so thrilled.
13:13Robby, you're going to receive an advantage in the star quality challenge.
13:16Ooh.
13:17Yes.
13:18Yes.
13:19It'll be revealed later.
13:20Now go hang out in the holiday house where the doors actually work.
13:24Get out of here, you crazy kids.
13:25Good job.
13:26So nice to meet you.
13:27Yeah.
13:28Coming up, welcome Ali Sweeney.
13:30I guess I'm learning to ride a horse today.
13:35Whoa.
13:36And just swing on up.
13:38Ah.
13:39You missed a lot of the lines.
13:43Robby with the streak.
13:45That was an impressive house, man.
13:46Yeah, it really was.
13:47Yeah.
13:48Yeah.
13:49It looked like you had days to do it.
13:50It was so good.
13:51You ever consider going into, like, contracting or home building?
13:53Um, absolutely not, because that house is going to fall down with one little push.
13:59Or bite.
14:00Or bite.
14:01Or bite.
14:02Yeah.
14:03I like how a lot of these challenges are kind of shedding light on a lot of our personalities,
14:07where we come from, how we were raised.
14:08Angel, it was really nice hearing about your mom and all the stories you told about her.
14:13Just having that serial represented joy.
14:16I understand that, yeah, yeah, because I had a single mom as well.
14:19She was a nurse, so I definitely understand that.
14:21Wow.
14:22My mom means everything to me.
14:23I mean, she raised me, she took care of me.
14:26About a month and a half ago, my mom found out that she does have cancer in her lungs.
14:31It's hard to talk about, but she was very supportive of me, like, go do it.
14:35I definitely want to make my mom as proud as possible.
14:37You're such a great guy, Marcus.
14:39Every day is so topsy-turvy, and they're all so different, and it's anybody's game.
14:44Yep.
14:45I haven't won anything.
14:46I've been on, like, second, third gear.
14:48I haven't been on fourth, fifth, and sixth.
14:51So I feel like maybe it's time to be on the highway and just go fast as you can.
14:56Hit the nose.
14:57Hit the nose.
14:58Hit the nose.
15:02Come on in, boys!
15:03Come on, Cowboys!
15:04Come on, Cowboys!
15:05Come on, Cowboys!
15:06Yeah!
15:07O-M-G.
15:10What are we about to do?
15:12This is exciting.
15:13I love Westerns.
15:14Howdy, boys!
15:15This is a Cowboy Christmas.
15:17Woo-hoo!
15:18Yeah!
15:19Nice.
15:20Hallmark Christmas movies are known for blending charm, romance, and holiday magic.
15:27And this star quality challenge will be no different.
15:30In this scene, you'll be working with two co-stars.
15:33The first one is a Hallmark megastar.
15:36And she just marked her 30th film with Hallmark.
15:39Please welcome, Ally Sweeney!
15:44Ally Sweeney is incredible.
15:46I am so, so, so excited.
15:49Howdy!
15:50Hello!
15:51Hi!
15:52Hello!
15:53And this is your other co-star, Belle the Horse.
15:56Hello, Belle!
15:57Hello, Belle!
15:58In this challenge, you're gonna have to maneuver your horse as you create chemistry with your
16:03leading lady.
16:04Wow!
16:05I guess I'm learning to ride a horse today.
16:07Horses like small children might throw a curveball at you, and you have to play that
16:11in the scene.
16:12Don't let it throw you.
16:13I have zero experience on a horse.
16:17My mom and my grandma were both bucked off a horse, which doesn't necessarily give me a
16:21lot of confidence.
16:22Here's what we're gonna be looking for.
16:24Your connection with your leading lady.
16:25Your ability to work with animals.
16:27And as always, star quality.
16:30But before we saddle up, Robbie, because you were at the top of the nice list in the festive
16:35face-off, you will get an extra five minutes with your horse and Ally.
16:41Okay.
16:42I'll take it.
16:43Thank you very much.
16:44All right, partners, here are your scripts.
16:47Go inside.
16:48Get changed.
16:49You'll be able to meet your horse co-star before we roll.
16:52Woo!
16:53Let's go!
16:54Hey!
16:55Give us a try.
16:56I got him.
16:57I'm gonna see if I still got it.
16:58Go lasso him.
16:59Go get him, Marissa.
17:00Go get him!
17:01You want to know the catch?
17:02You want to know the catch?
17:04The scene is about the first date.
17:08So there's some flirtatiousness, and that's easy for me.
17:12I'm also a bartender.
17:14So part of being a bartender, you flirt.
17:17Get some extra tips here and there.
17:19So it's gonna be fun.
17:25I am unbelievably excited.
17:28I love horses.
17:29I've ridden horses and ponies, and I'm really excited to bring that experience to the scene.
17:35Oh, with that, with that.
17:37So I can do horseback riding.
17:39I'm very proud of that.
17:45It's hard not to be a little bit scared.
17:48Right here.
17:49I take a deep breath, try to calm my nerves, do whatever I can to slow my heart rate down,
17:53because I know that being nervous is only gonna hold me back.
18:00Hey!
18:01Okay, great.
18:02Hey, Robby.
18:03So nice to meet you.
18:04How do you feel about this?
18:05Good.
18:06Good.
18:07I've ridden horses, but not in a long time.
18:08Okay.
18:09Okay, yeah.
18:10Sure.
18:11So I think it, hopefully it is like riding a bike.
18:12Yeah.
18:13So I'm ready for my advantage.
18:14That time is huge.
18:15I think if I say, let's see what else you got, and I can kind of gesture for you to go.
18:19Okay.
18:20Let's see what else you got.
18:21Because then you can kind of go off first.
18:22Yeah.
18:23And whatever you feel, you know, your character would like lead the way or not.
18:28Or you know, we, I think we're gonna have to discover it.
18:30Yeah.
18:31And giving that audience the inside glimpse as to like what you're thinking without me looking
18:35Bu da çok önemli bir şey.
18:38Evet, bu da bir şey.
18:40Biliyorum.
18:41Bir şey.
18:43Bu da böyle bir şey.
18:45Settle.
19:07Evet, perfect.
19:09Şimdi de de yanımızdan alışma başlayıp,
19:11bir renk alışmama danınca bir renk alışma.
19:13Yani bir renk alışma.
19:15Bir renk alışma.
19:17Ve işte soy de kurup.
19:21Ve kızgın.
19:23Ve ve soy deyorduk.
19:25Ve o!
19:27Hemen o.
19:29Hemen.
19:30This character that I'm playing,
19:32he needs to find out if she's as into me as I am into her.
20:00And you planned this whole date,
20:01so you must be a gentleman.
20:04Means I just have one question.
20:06What's the catch?
20:07You wanna know what the catch is?
20:10When I see something I like,
20:13I don't rest until I get it.
20:16Well then, I hope you know how to keep up.
20:22And cut!
20:23He took his time, he leaned in,
20:25and he did what the script called for.
20:27Rodden Cowboy!
20:29Woo!
20:30How you doing?
20:31How was it?
20:32Y'all, that horse, she has a mind of her own.
20:36Wish me luck.
20:37All right, I'll see you guys soon.
20:40It's a little nerve-wracking going into this challenge
20:43being somebody that's never ridden a horse before.
20:45I don't know how that horse is going to react.
20:48What if I get thrown off of the horse?
20:50I don't know how it can get any harder than this.
20:52And action!
20:55Wow, a Christmas horseback ride.
20:57That's a great idea, thanks for the invite.
21:00And I'm just a little nervous,
21:02it's been a long time since I've ridden.
21:04No worries, I thought we'd do a little refresh
21:06around the training ring before we head out on a walk.
21:09Sound good?
21:10Yeah, perfect.
21:11All right.
21:13Put your foot into the stirrup and swing on up.
21:18Look good?
21:19OK, the one that has never ridden a horse before, flawless.
21:21Left side.
21:22Put in the stirrup.
21:23Yep.
21:24And then I just swing.
21:26Yee-haw, look at you.
21:29Look at that movie star moment.
21:31This is what I'm talking about.
21:32Oh, the horses really like you.
21:34How long have you been riding?
21:35Here?
21:37Just a couple of years, but I rode when I was a kid.
21:40Wow, we've got a real-life cowboy on our hands.
21:42Huh?
21:44So your grandparents taught you to ride.
21:47You must be close with your family.
21:49That's right.
21:51And horses like you, so you must have good energy.
21:54What's the catch?
21:56So you want to know what the catch is?
21:58I do.
21:59Once I see something I like.
22:01Oh.
22:03Oh no, the horse is going in reverse.
22:05Come on.
22:07He needs to get that final line in.
22:10Coming up, go on a little refresh around the training
22:13row, uh, training yard.
22:14All right, let's see what else you got.
22:17He's got to slow down that heartbeat a little bit.
22:19Yeah.
22:23The horse is going in reverse.
22:25Let's see how Marcus handles it.
22:29Once I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
22:34Well then, you better learn how to go forward, buddy.
22:40And cut!
22:41How he handled it, now that's a movie star.
22:44Clearly the horse didn't get the script.
22:46But I think I'm in a good spot.
22:48When he leaned in and was like, hey, I'm here to be your date.
22:52I'm like, put a saddle on me.
22:53I know, sorry mom, I said it.
22:56Put your left foot in the stirrup, grab the reins.
22:59I grew up in a town with a lot of horses, but I never actually got on a horse personally.
23:04It's hard not to be a little bit scared.
23:10My mom and my grandma both got bucked off and broke bones.
23:13Just got to slow down that heartbeat a little bit.
23:15Yeah, you got this.
23:16Once I'm in the moment, I feel like I'll be there.
23:18Okay, yeah, totally.
23:19That's a big thing to overcome.
23:20I mean, we have to do that as actors, right?
23:22And action!
23:24I'm kind of nervous.
23:25It's been a long time since I've ridden.
23:27No worries.
23:30Let's do a little refresher around the practice track here.
23:33And before we head out on the walk, let you get the hang of it.
23:36Sound good?
23:37Perfect.
23:38All right.
23:39So, remember, we always want to mount on the left side.
23:43Okay.
23:44I'm definitely having a hard time calming my nerves.
23:55Throw that left foot in the stirrup and swing on up.
24:00Okay.
24:01There it is.
24:02Okay.
24:03And swing.
24:04You're a real pro.
24:05Let's see what else you got.
24:06I mean, come on.
24:07Oh, my gosh.
24:08They listen to you so well.
24:09How long have you been riding?
24:10My grandparents rode, so I guess you could say it's in my blood.
24:14Wow.
24:15We've got a real cowboy on our hands.
24:17I'd watch this movie.
24:20Do you think they get together in the end?
24:22Yes.
24:23Yeah, they get together.
24:24Boy, let me ask.
24:25What's that?
24:26What's the catch?
24:27You want to know the catch?
24:29Well, when I see something I like, I get it.
24:33Huh.
24:34But can you keep up?
24:42Yes!
24:43And cut!
24:44I like to think my grandma and my mom would be proud of the fact that I got up on that horse.
24:48And my acting wasn't too shabby either.
24:49Never ridden a horse.
24:50I never once worried about him on that horse.
24:52Just exuded confidence.
24:53Not once.
24:54The one thing Davey could have done better is...
24:55Find his camera a little bit.
24:56Find his camera a little better.
24:57I feel like I have a good grasp on my lines this time.
25:04I just have to show confidence.
25:07Just act like I'm actually a cowboy and that I've done this a million times on a first date.
25:13Action!
25:14A Christmas horseback ride is such a great idea.
25:18Thanks for the invite.
25:20I'm a little nervous.
25:21It's been a long time since I've ridden.
25:23Don't worry.
25:24I thought we'd do a little refresh on the training ground.
25:28Just grab the reins, put your foot in the stirrup, and swing on up.
25:35Okay.
25:36Well done.
25:37Okay.
25:38Not bad.
25:39Swing up.
25:40Look at that.
25:41All I want from Gabe in this last moment is I want him to look at that camera and be a leading
25:46man.
25:47Yeah.
25:48Those horses really listen to you.
25:49How long have you been riding?
25:50Just a couple of years.
25:51But I started as a kid.
25:52Cowboy on their hands.
25:53Yep.
25:54This is a definitely better.
25:55Yes.
25:56All right, cowboy.
25:57What's the catch?
25:59You want to know the catch?
26:01Okay.
26:02Here we go.
26:03Come on.
26:04Once I see something I like, I don't rest until I get it.
26:09Ooh.
26:10Well, let's see if you can keep up.
26:13Okay.
26:14And cut.
26:19I was stressing a tiny bit.
26:21She's intimidating to me a little bit because she's so beautiful and such a good actress,
26:26you know?
26:27Yeah.
26:28The horse.
26:29Yeah, the horse.
26:30I'm feeling a little bit nervous.
26:32I'm not going to lie.
26:33Allie is a little intimidating.
26:35I'm going to do the best that I can to connect, be grounded, be present with Allie.
26:40She's a pro.
26:41Action!
26:42I figured we'd just go on a little refresh around the training yard before we get started.
26:48Okay.
26:49Sound good?
26:50Yeah.
26:51All right.
26:52All right.
26:53Cool.
26:54So we always mount from the left side.
26:55Okay.
26:56All right.
26:57Just grab the reins.
26:58Get it over this guy.
27:01Come on, baby.
27:04Now here's where he has to get the horses.
27:07Just got to get it over her ear as well.
27:10Of course.
27:11Makes sense.
27:12This is like a tornado meeting a volcano.
27:15I'm not off to a great start, but it's not about how you start.
27:19It's about how you finish.
27:20Putting the stir up.
27:21Yeah.
27:22And just swing on up there.
27:24Right.
27:25Hey, baby.
27:26Swing up.
27:27Nice swing up.
27:28They look good together.
27:29They look really good together.
27:30They've really listened to you.
27:31How long have you been riding?
27:33Well, here, just a few years, but it started when I was a little kid.
27:37My grandparents rode, so it's kind of in my blood.
27:40Wow.
27:41Wow.
27:42We've got a real-life cowboy on our hands.
27:43Look how much of a movie star Craig looks like right there.
27:45He looks fantastic.
27:46That's right.
27:47Those eyes.
27:48Look at that.
27:49So, cowboy, that means I've got just one question for you.
27:53What's the catch?
27:55The catch?
27:58Once I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
28:06Wow.
28:07Well, then you better learn to catch up.
28:14Good girl.
28:15Cute.
28:16And cut!
28:17Very cute.
28:18Once he got up on the horse, it was great.
28:20I'll see you later, Jingle.
28:23Never go behind a horse, man.
28:28I'm surprised you didn't do an accent.
28:30Not this time, no.
28:31I'm excited to prove that I am definitely Hallmark leading man material.
28:36I don't need to be playing it safe in this competition.
28:39So, I feel like the cowboy would kind of have an accent, like a slow tone talk to him.
28:45Come on, Logan.
28:46Come on, Logan.
28:47Action!
28:48Wow.
28:49Christmas horseback ride.
28:50What a great idea.
28:51Thanks for the invite.
28:52I mean, I'm a little nervous.
28:53It's been a long time since I've ridden.
28:54Ah, no worries.
28:55But, I thought we'd do a little refresher course to kind of get you refreshed and get you back
29:01on it.
29:02Okay.
29:03Perfect.
29:04Come on.
29:05Oh.
29:06He's not saying anything.
29:19Alright.
29:20Fill up the space.
29:21Fill it, fill it.
29:22He missed, he missed a lot of the lines.
29:35Coming up, became a Latino cowboy.
29:39Swing on over.
29:40Okay.
29:41I love that hat.
29:42Am I dropping that for me, hon?
29:43We have to say goodbye to someone who is absolutely incredible.
29:49Come here.
29:50It's okay.
29:51The horse started backing up and I forgot half the line that I was going to be delivering
29:59and it was so much like dead air.
30:05Fill that space.
30:06With something.
30:07With something.
30:08You don't have to add dialogue if that isn't comfortable, but fill it with something.
30:12Alright.
30:13So, you just want to grab your reins.
30:15Okay.
30:16Put your foot in a stirrup.
30:17Yep.
30:18And swing on up.
30:19Okay.
30:20Okay.
30:21He pulled through.
30:22But he pulled it back in.
30:23He got it.
30:24Woo!
30:25So, how long have you been riding?
30:29Here?
30:30Just a couple years.
30:31But, I started out when I was a kid.
30:34My grandparents rode, so.
30:36Your grandparents rode.
30:38So, that must mean you're close with your family?
30:41That's right.
30:42And horses like you, so that must mean you have good energy.
30:46I guess I just have one question.
30:48Where's the catch?
30:50What?
30:51You want to know what the catch is?
30:53Well, when I see something I like, I don't rest until I get it.
31:01I hope you can keep up.
31:03And that's a cut.
31:08He missed some of the lines.
31:10He missed the lines and you could see, I could see a moment where he got flustered.
31:13It felt awkward.
31:14Is this your time to shine?
31:16I have to make sure the animal can trust me and sense that I have good energy coming into the scene.
31:23And if I do that, I feel like I'm going to do great.
31:26Yee-haw!
31:27Cowboys!
31:28Let's go!
31:29You got this, Angel.
31:31Action!
31:32Thank you for joining me.
31:33Oh, yeah.
31:34I mean, a Christmas horseback ride?
31:36Thank you for the invite.
31:38I'm a little nervous though.
31:39It's been a long time since I've ridden.
31:41Oh, no worries, my lady.
31:43My lady?
31:44You put the rings over the horse.
31:46Sure.
31:47Make sure you're gentle.
31:48How you doing?
31:49Talk to the horse.
31:51Make sure.
31:52Come here.
31:54Sometimes this will happen.
31:55Oh, oh, oh, oh, uncooperative co-star.
31:58It's okay, baby.
31:59It's okay.
32:00Oh.
32:01I got you.
32:02I got you.
32:03Oh, he's doing so good at filling the space with dialogue.
32:07He literally wrote another scene into that just by keeping in it.
32:10Yeah, yeah.
32:11He's so good.
32:12And swing on up.
32:13Wow.
32:14It's a pissy.
32:15Okay.
32:16It's a pissy.
32:17All right.
32:18Let's see what else you got.
32:20We have a real life cowboy on our hands.
32:24Something is kind of in my blood.
32:26So I just have one question.
32:28What's the catch?
32:30You want to know what the catch is?
32:33When I see something I like, I don't stop until I get it.
32:39And I hope you can keep up.
32:41I'm up for this.
32:44Let's go.
32:45Cut.
32:46And he stayed in it when his horse was uncooperative.
32:49And I mean, it was amazing.
32:50Yay!
32:51No, come on.
32:52Thank you.
32:53Oh, get out of here, man.
32:54Dude, you're the most fun.
32:55Yeah.
32:56I became a Latino cowboy.
32:57Latino cowboy.
32:58Angels always winning over the ladies, but I was actually voted the biggest flirt at my high school.
33:12So this is going to be right up my alley.
33:15No pun intended.
33:17Action!
33:18Wow.
33:19A Christmas horseback ride.
33:20What a great idea.
33:21Thank you for the invite.
33:23I mean, I'm a little nervous because it's been a long time since I've ridden.
33:27Ah, no worries.
33:29I think we'll do a little refresher on the training ring before we go out on the walk.
33:33Sound good?
33:34Perfect.
33:35Oh, come here, girl.
33:37Yeah, you're a good girl.
33:38Come here, baby.
33:39You just put your foot in the stirrup.
33:42Swing on over.
33:43Okay.
33:44How about that hat?
33:45Mind dropping out for me, hon?
33:46I don't mind at all.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:48Here you go.
33:49So...
33:50Alright, it's your turn.
33:51Yeah, you made it look so easy.
33:53He's so natural up there.
33:54It's insane.
33:55Grounded.
33:56My foot in the stirrup.
33:57And I swing up.
33:59Let's see what else you can do.
34:01Your only job is to charm, charm, charm.
34:04And that's exactly what he's doing.
34:06Wow.
34:07The horses really listen to you.
34:08How long have you been riding?
34:09Here?
34:10Ah, just a couple years.
34:12But I started as a kid.
34:14Got a real life cowboy on our hands.
34:17Alright, cowboy.
34:19I guess there's just one question.
34:21What's the catch?
34:23You want to know the catch?
34:25When I see something I like, I don't rest till I get it.
34:32Hope you can keep up.
34:36Hot!
34:38Is it hot in here or is it rustin'?
34:42It's freezing but I don't care.
34:43Is it hot in here or is it rustin'?
34:44Oh my gosh, rustin is boiling our blood.
34:48I don't need these blankets.
34:49He is so good.
34:50I don't need these blankets.
34:51I don't need these blankets.
34:52You just had rustin.
34:53I just got rustin.
34:54Boom, you just got rustin.
34:55Rustin.
34:56I'm really curious to hear what Ally says,
34:57because she's got to be up close and personal
34:59and like be really connected to them.
35:01And I have my thoughts, but I want to know who really got to her.
35:05Yeah.
35:06This is going to be a tough decision.
35:08I hope you all had half as much fun as I did.
35:11Oh man.
35:12It just feels like such an even playing field that it could be anyone at any moment.
35:16Top, bottom, middle, like.
35:19We'll see, man.
35:21Wow.
35:22We put our hungs through the test today.
35:24So many things going on in that scene.
35:25Let's first talk about the guys we thought did well.
35:28Let's talk about Marcus.
35:29Marcus had never been on a horse before.
35:31Wow.
35:32That was impressive.
35:33He never once looked like he was thinking about the horse.
35:35No.
35:36When he swung right up there, I thought he had so much swagger and confidence.
35:38There was not a single second that I felt like he was out of character.
35:41Do you ever have that thing in scenes with other actors where you're like nervous for them?
35:45You're a little worried like, oh, are they going to forget their line?
35:47Oh, are they worried about this blocking?
35:49With him, not for a second was I nervous.
35:51He felt like you were in good hands.
35:52Oh, yes.
35:53Exactly.
35:54Then we had Angel.
35:55He came into it with intention.
35:56He came into it with an idea.
35:58He wanted to make it his own.
35:59It's your PC.
36:00Okay.
36:01I loved how he did it.
36:02I loved how he looked at me in the scene.
36:04I loved everything about it.
36:05Then we have Rustin, our resident cowboy.
36:08He understands the assignment.
36:09He does.
36:10Yes.
36:11So great with the horse.
36:12He handled everything really confidently.
36:13He has a confidence that cannot be broken.
36:16The only thing that was a little tricky was his hat came off.
36:19And he asked you to get it, right?
36:20And he, yeah.
36:21But I felt sort of like he sort of stepped on me by saying like, hey, will you get that
36:25for me?
36:26And you were like, I'm already getting it.
36:27And I was sort of like, dude, I already got it.
36:28I'm nervous.
36:29I'm not going to lie.
36:30Why?
36:31It was the challenge for sure.
36:32Because the horses are kind of unpredictable.
36:34Now let's talk about who struggled.
36:36Now Craig is, you know, our very confident hunk.
36:39I felt a little nerves from Craig.
36:40Yeah.
36:41When the horse, you know, didn't cooperate, as we warned him, he definitely allowed it
36:45to sort of fluster him a tiny bit.
36:47Fluster him a tiny bit.
36:48I forgot what the line was.
36:50Then I internally panicked.
36:51And I was like, oh no, oh no.
36:53And then we had Logan.
36:54It felt a little bit like he was nervous about the cameras.
36:57Just didn't have that comfort with how to hit your mark.
37:00It didn't feel intentional.
37:01That's right.
37:02So then let's talk about Gabriel.
37:03There's something with Gabriel where I want him to lock in because when those glimpses
37:08happen, they're great.
37:09But there's so many cracks between the glimpses of greatness.
37:12Yeah.
37:13He's thinking about the next line.
37:14That comes with experience.
37:15We have a huge decision to make.
37:17I know.
37:18We have eight hunks that really turned themselves into Christmas cowboys.
37:20They did.
37:21And they did such a great job.
37:22But unfortunately, someone's got to go home.
37:28Walking into elimination, I'm feeling stressed.
37:31I'm doing the best I can.
37:33I just don't know if that's going to be enough.
37:35Although I didn't start that scene off on the right foot,
37:38I do think I recovered well.
37:40I know that this is just the beginning.
37:42And I'm hoping that I'm not going home.
37:45Hello, gentlemen.
37:46Welcome back to the moment where your chance to be Mr. Christmas hangs in the balance.
37:51Tonight, one of you will be named this week's shining star.
37:55And one of you will be headed home for the holidays.
38:00In this star quality challenge, we asked you to step out of your comfort zone
38:04and step onto a horse while having a romantic scene with your co-star, Ali Sweeney.
38:11Ali, you got to act with the guys. How do you think they did?
38:14The key in all of this is if you are natural and comfortable with what you're doing,
38:18the audience feels that.
38:20And they love it and they want to feel comfortable watching you.
38:23They don't want to be nervous.
38:24Yep.
38:25The audience can sit back and relax because they know they're in good hands.
38:27Yes, exactly.
38:28I was impressed to see you all really commit to today's challenge.
38:33It shows that you're not just here to play, but to win.
38:37But one of you put your nerves aside and rocks the camera with your confidence and chemistry.
38:43The winner of the star quality challenge and tonight's shining star is...
38:48Marcus, congratulations.
38:59From jumping on a horse with confidence to filling the space we needed.
39:03I really enjoyed riding a horse.
39:05You did so great and that's really impressive.
39:07Winning my first star quality challenge feels amazing.
39:10It means that I'm doing something right. It means that I'm supposed to be here.
39:13And now, unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to someone who is absolutely incredible.
39:18Gabe.
39:19Logan.
39:20Will you please step forward?
39:23Oh my gosh. I can't believe I'm in the bottom two again.
39:27I feel my heart racing. Doing that scene, it was a mess.
39:31Logan.
39:32You messed up a few of your lines and it seemed to shake you.
39:35Instead of connecting with your co-star, it almost felt like you were acting alone.
39:40Gabe.
39:41When you're not on camera, you are confident and you are magic.
39:44When we call action, you lose a bit of your confidence.
39:48You seem a little disconnected in the scene and the focus was more on your next line than it was connecting with your co-star.
39:55Gabe.
39:56Logan.
39:57One of you will be going home right now.
40:01Winning this, I think, would definitely change my life.
40:03Let me stay. Give me a chance.
40:05I don't want to go home.
40:06I'm learning every single day that I'm here.
40:09And I feel like I'm just getting started.
40:17Logan.
40:18That's a wrap.
40:19It's time to take your stocking down.
40:21You're going home for the holidays.
40:23Logan, you charmed us from day one with your authenticity and your love for magic.
40:30And every day, that's what you've been showing up with.
40:33I know everyone here is sad to see you go and we can't wait to see what you do next.
40:39Being Mr. Christmas would have been, you know, that would have been so cool.
40:44Being the lead in a Hallmark movie.
40:46I mean, come on.
40:47Who doesn't want that?
40:48What do I miss you, bro?
40:50I'm really glad that I got the opportunity.
40:56Getting the chance to meet new friends.
40:58Really having a connection with everybody.
41:00I would have missed you guys.
41:03But I loved it.
41:04I loved every second of it.
41:09Guys, you are all here chasing a dream.
41:12And with that, can come some tough love and a little bit of heartbreak.
41:16We'll see you next time as we continue the search to find Mr. Christmas.
41:21Can't believe I get another chance.
41:23But I'm going to stay positive and go into the next challenges with confidence.
41:51We'll see you next time.
41:52We'll see you next time.
41:53Bye.
41:54Bye.
