00:00Welcome to Florida
00:02Florida life, nothing quite like it
00:03Home to theme parks, golden tans
00:06and 400,000 Brits
00:08I absolutely love it here
00:10Who've made the Sunshine State
00:12their new home
00:13This is what sold me up
00:14Who wouldn't want to live here like this
00:18They've swapped drizzly winters
00:20and gas bills for new careers
00:22and seemingly endless fun
00:24in the sun
00:26It's our little piece of paradise
00:28Get it right and life in Florida
00:30can be like a dream come true
00:32Every evening do this
00:34with your glass of wine
00:35But getting here and staying here
00:37takes hard work
00:38I do pinch myself every day
00:41Grit, we just lost the starboard motor
00:43and determination
00:44These are the Brits who've made their own
00:48Escape to Florida
00:54Today on Escape to Florida
00:56It's all aboard
00:59This is my
01:00big idea for St George's Day
01:02It's my London bus
01:04and she's a beauty
01:05As pub owner Martin introduces
01:07his latest publicity stunt
01:09It's an original
01:111957 bus
01:13to London
01:14Come on mate
01:15Come and have a look at her
01:16Donna and Dan cheer on
01:18their youngest son Billy
01:19Do something with it Billy
01:22Oh
01:23I love him
01:24In a game that could secure
01:26his future in Florida
01:27Hit it
01:28There's a lot of pressure on Billy
01:30Hey Bill
01:30That there you gotta be stronger mate
01:32And London born Justine
01:34is tapping into her British contacts
01:36to sell a brand new penthouse
01:38What do you think of the view out here?
01:40Because I think this is it
01:41Wow
01:41Thank you so much
01:43See you again
01:43Maybe if they like it enough
01:45They'll commit to it
01:53In Clermont
01:55Oldenborn Martin
01:56has risked everything
01:57by launching a theme pub
01:59The best of British
02:02We've got your seat reserved for you
02:03You know that
02:04Oh thank you
02:04Thank you
02:05It's been open for five weeks
02:07and the pub has been busy
02:09The response has been brilliant
02:11Things have gone really really well
02:13Martin moved to Florida
02:15with his wife Beverly
02:16five years ago
02:17We moved here on New Year's Day 2020
02:21Just a couple of months
02:22before the Covid pandemic hit
02:24So you know
02:25life turned upside down
02:25very very quickly
02:26We didn't have a chance
02:28to really settle
02:29and establish our lives here
02:31in many ways
02:32And we got hit very very hard
02:33in different ways
02:34He poured all his savings
02:36into this new venture
02:37I've put about
02:39a quarter of a million
02:40into getting this business right
02:42so we need it to work personally
02:44so yeah
02:45a lot rides on this
02:47In Florida's competitive
02:48hospitality scene
02:50Martin's making the most
02:51of every opportunity
02:52to pull in the punters
02:54and their cash
02:56In a couple of weeks
02:57we've got St George's Day
02:58and I really want to make
03:00a big day out of it
03:01a lot to prepare for
03:02and a lot to plan for
03:03but yeah
03:04two weeks to go
03:05I'm looking forward to it
03:07Keen to turn this St George's Day
03:09into a money maker
03:10Martin has a cheeky plan
03:12to bring the customers in
03:13So
03:14this is my
03:15big idea for St George's Day
03:18my latest
03:20madcap idea
03:21it's my London bus
03:23and she's a beauty
03:24London bus
03:26iconic
03:27obviously you don't
03:28see them over here
03:29there are a few scattered
03:30about in the US
03:31at different pubs
03:32and restaurants and stuff
03:33this is the only one
03:34that I know in
03:35central Florida
03:37I needed it to become
03:39a landmark
03:40something to drag people in
03:43Roadside advertising
03:44isn't new territory
03:45for Martin and the pub
03:47So we had our hot
03:48air balloon for our
03:49launch day
03:50which was a challenge
03:51in itself in different ways
03:52we had to import that
03:54and all the permits
03:55that went with that
03:56we got told to take that
03:57down by the local council
03:58and we have to abide by
03:59certain rules and regulations
04:00but I'm hoping
04:01we're going to be okay
04:02with this one
04:03but Martin's big ideas
04:05don't come with a small
04:07price tag
04:07at the moment
04:08we're renting it off
04:09so a couple of grand a month
04:10I'm renting the bus
04:11and putting it there
04:12so we've done that
04:12and I've said listen
04:13I'll agree to buy you
04:1470 grand we've said
04:15if it comes to the point
04:17where we think it's really
04:18working
04:1970 grand for a bus
04:21that's going nowhere
04:22is a big investment
04:23and it needs a major
04:25rebrand
04:26so what I've got to do
04:27first of all
04:28is get all this lettering
04:29off
04:29so it was a lawyers
04:31down in South Florida
04:32was using the bus
04:33for promotional purposes
04:34but I want to get it
04:35back to its original red
04:36the paint seems
04:37in immaculate condition
04:38for a 70 odd
04:40year old bus
04:41so it's going to take
04:42time
04:42we've got a couple of
04:44weeks before St George's Day
04:46with every one of
04:47Martin's new ideas
04:48it's his trusted handyman
04:50Jimmy from Macclesfield
04:51who turns them into reality
04:54Jimmy's up to any task
04:55honestly
04:56Jimmy's brilliant
04:57and when I do come up
04:59with these mad ideas
05:00he just gets on with it
05:01I find my big wrench
05:03you know the big blue handle one
05:06Jimmy and wife Anne
05:08who's the pub manager
05:09came to Florida
05:1017 years ago
05:13in this business
05:14I'm the general handyman
05:17customer service sometimes
05:19but I'm just general
05:21dog's body
05:21if they want something
05:22they'll say
05:23everybody just turns
05:24Jimmy!
05:25we planned this escape
05:27to Florida
05:28over quite a while
05:30we loved it
05:31it was our happy place
05:32loved everything about it
05:34so I thought
05:35why not live there?
05:37now Martin needs to
05:39introduce Jimmy
05:40to his next task
05:41mate it's an original
05:431957 bus
05:45from London
05:46come on mate
05:47come and have a look at her
05:48she's called Lucy
05:49Lucy
05:521957
05:53on a million miles
05:56similar to yourself
05:57yeah
05:58I feel like it
05:59how big is she
06:01when you're up close?
06:02we've obviously
06:03got to do a bit of
06:04a
06:04we
06:05we
06:05did you say?
06:07we
06:07I'm gonna
06:07kind of supervise you
06:09I think
06:09alright
06:11yeah we need to get all
06:12the lettering off
06:13but I think
06:13she'll come back up
06:16that's the original paint
06:17underneath
06:17like that cherry red
06:18yeah
06:20same colour as the phone box
06:21with St George's Day
06:23two weeks away
06:24Jimmy will have some
06:25hard graft ahead of him
06:26to get the bus ready in time
06:3328 miles away in downtown Orlando
06:36the sun is shining
06:38making the most of it
06:39by walking her
06:40four-legged friends
06:41is London born
06:43Justine
06:47I like to take the dogs for a walk
06:49so it's nice to take a few minutes each day
06:52and kind of calm yourself
06:56although born in the UK
06:58Justine has lived in Florida for 45 years
07:01and has built a successful career
07:03helping British businesses thrive in Florida
07:06especially in property
07:09I'm a real estate marketing consultant
07:11but I work with developers
07:13through my company
07:15to help market and sell
07:18both locally and internationally
07:20there we are
07:24Justine lives with husband Raja
07:26mother Denise
07:27and son Chris
07:29because everything kind of revolves around food doesn't it
07:31so we're a social family
07:33we're social together
07:34we're social with our friends
07:35and yeah we like cookies
07:38Justine and Raja
07:39have been together for 34 years
07:43maybe we should get chickens
07:44no
07:45no
07:46you're not here
07:48I mean that's a fair point
07:49we got married twice
07:51so we've been
07:52we got married the first time
07:54because I
07:55could no longer live here
07:57I had no visa
07:57and I was moving back to England
07:59it was a green card wedding
08:01it was
08:01it was completely a green card marriage
08:03but here we are 34 years later
08:06I am basically semi-retired
08:08or retired at this point
08:10I've went through
08:10a little bit of a challenge
08:11with some health issues
08:13and they figured out
08:13I've got terminal cancer
08:15and I was given 10 years
08:17at best
08:17and here I am
08:18on year 13
08:20so
08:21everything's under control
08:23and Justine has needed
08:24the strength of her family
08:26every step of the way
08:27There are times where Raja's been in hospital
08:30and things have been very difficult
08:31and you know
08:32with both my mom and my son
08:33we're so connected
08:34with each other
08:35that it's kind of easy
08:36to figure out
08:37what somebody needs
08:38at any point in time
08:40come on in here
08:41come on
08:42we've got some work to do
08:43today Justine's working from home
08:45on her latest development
08:46on the Gulf Coast
08:48its success will be crucial
08:50to help maintain
08:51their Florida lifestyle
08:52Marina Point is
08:54three luxury condo towers
08:56that are on
08:57kind of in a peninsula
08:59right out in Tampa Bay
09:01This tower has been built
09:03as have these
09:04what we call harbour homes
09:06so far we've built this
09:07these two fingers of the marina
09:10and so we still have these ones to go
09:12but we won't do those
09:13until we start construction
09:14on tower two and three
09:18Florida is one of the top spots
09:20in the US
09:21for this kind of high-end real estate
09:25The next tower alone
09:27is about a $260 million build
09:30just the next tower alone
09:32Justine still has to work hard
09:34to sell these condos
09:36and one marketing strategy
09:37is to hold exclusive parties
09:39for potential buyers
09:41We do these yacht parties
09:42to introduce a lifestyle
09:43and to also make sure
09:46that we're introducing
09:47different companies
09:49different aspects
09:50of the community together
09:52because even if they're not looking to buy
09:54they certainly
09:55have the ability to
09:57to connect with us
09:58in some way shape or form
10:01Before finalizing the guest list
10:03she needs to know the size of the yacht
10:06Hey Morgan
10:07Hello
10:08So just calling to touch base
10:10because I want to make sure
10:10that we didn't overbook
10:12with too many people
10:13and so do you know
10:14which one of the yachts
10:15we're going to have for next week?
10:16We are hopefully going to bring the 72
10:19but we used it for something yesterday
10:22and there was no AC on it
10:24Oof
10:24So we are just working
10:27to get the AC fixed on that unit
10:29and then if we do
10:30then we will be bringing that one
10:32Got it
10:33Alright
10:34If you hear anything
10:35will you let me know please?
10:36Okay, perfect
10:37Yep, I will keep you posted
10:38as soon as we know that
10:39Thanks Morgan
10:40See you next week
10:40Alright, I'll talk to you soon
10:41Alright, take care, bye
10:42So
10:44Hopefully we get the 72 foot
10:46but not without air conditioning
10:47Sweating on a yacht
10:49Not acceptable
10:53When you're selling luxury lifestyle
10:55first impressions count
10:56and in Florida's scorching summer heat
10:59a yacht without aircon
11:01has Justine working up a sweat
11:03before the party even begins
11:20In the sunny resort of St Pete Beach
11:2452 year old Londoner Dan
11:26is tending to his pool
11:29I'm giving the pool a little clean
11:31with all the trees and palms
11:35so you have to go around doing it yourself
11:37I find it quite therapeutic actually
11:40Dan moved to Florida nearly four years ago
11:43with his wife Donna
11:44and two sons
11:45When we first got here
11:47Donna was on an 01 visa
11:49and I was on an 03
11:51It meant that I couldn't work
11:53for the first three years
11:55But now Dan has passed the exam
11:58to become a Florida realtor
11:59or estate agent
12:01as we call them in the UK
12:02I'll show you my new style
12:04Oh
12:05What, your new realtor style?
12:08Yep
12:08I'm starting something that I've never done in my life
12:11Yeah
12:12It's a little bit terrifying
12:14I think I'll do well at it
12:16I really do
12:17Money's tight
12:18and Donna's wages aren't covering everything
12:21So Dan needs to start bringing in an income
12:24I'm actually bringing absolutely zero dollars in the house
12:28I need to start bringing some money in
12:30because everything depends on it
12:32at the end of the day
12:33The kids won't be going to the school they're out
12:36if I'm not bringing the money in
12:37I can't rely on Donna to do it all the time
12:39Having spent the last few years running the home
12:42Dan's about to find out what juggling work and life looks like
12:47I love my life being around the family
12:50cooking for them
12:51It's something I really enjoy
12:52Dan and youngest son, 14-year-old Billy
12:55have spent a lot of time together recently
12:57and Dan's determined not to lose that when he returns to work
13:01Dan, haven't I been doing the dishes recently?
13:04Once or twice, mate
13:05We could do some yesterday, don't we?
13:08And the day before
13:09Billy's great
13:10I take Billy to school
13:11I take Billy to football training, football games
13:15And I quite like that as well, I must say
13:17A keen football player in the UK
13:20Billy's love of the game survived the move
13:24You've got all these kits done
13:25The yellow one
13:26Do you know why you need to take three?
13:29I've got my yellow one upstairs
13:31I played for Phil with the Chargers
13:33Last season I won Perrids player this season
13:37Before the match
13:38Dan makes sure that Billy is fueled up
13:40with his favourite breakfast
13:41We're making pancakes and French toast
13:44Just to give everyone an option
13:47It gives me enough energy
13:48But I don't like anything too heavy
13:50When I first moved from England to Florida
13:52It was a... I was not excited
13:54I was kind of dreading leaving England
13:56Completely different vibe to living in England
13:59When we first decided that we were going to look into moving over
14:03We sat both boys down
14:05And Oliver was like, yes, yes, bring it on
14:08Billy was more apprehensive
14:10At the time he was nine or ten
14:13He had a very solid friendship group
14:17And so he felt a little bit unsure
14:20Let me get the plates out
14:22Success on the pitch could land Billy a college soccer scholarship worth up to $250,000
14:30Scholarships are really important over here
14:32Because the college is so expensive
14:34And sports is such a... such a big deal over here
14:38But I want to... I want to get a scholarship for football or soccer
14:44And hopefully I can do well academically and athletically
14:48So I can get into good schools for college
14:51And a scholarship would mean more than just funding
14:54It could help Billy stay in the US
14:56I'll have one of these then
14:58Pancakes, alright?
14:59The kids can be educated here
15:02There's not a problem with that until they're 20 years old
15:05And then they have to either leave the country
15:08Or we have to get green cards
15:11Billy has played football ever since he was like, could walk
15:15I knew the sports programs over here were great
15:18I just thought, I hope he thrives as much as he did when we were in London
15:23He's so sporty
15:25And he really wants to make this part of his future
15:28For Billy, this isn't just about football
15:31Securing a scholarship will allow him to build his own life in Florida
15:35And today he needs to put his best foot forward
15:46Over in Clermont
15:47Pub owner Martin's best of British pub has all the icons
15:52A red phone box, a red post box
15:54And now, to round off the collection
15:56He's got a red London double-decker bus
16:01And handyman Jimmy has been tasked with bringing her back to former glory
16:06So we know what we're doing with the bus now
16:08To get them letters off
16:09Michael will be here in a bit anyway to give you a hand
16:11And then, yeah, let's just get it looking as pretty as we can
16:14As quick as we can
16:15Only two weeks until St George's Day
16:18And Martin wants his centrepiece ready
16:20So Jimmy has roped in cook Michael to help
16:23We start down here, all the bottom first
16:26Then we'll bring the steps out
16:28And start to go across here
16:30With that thing
16:31First job, stripping off the old lettering
16:35You spray it
16:41And let it soak him for a few minutes
16:43And let it soak him for a few minutes
16:44With this, you've just got to tease him
16:46Like that, see
16:47And it's just tedious job
16:54And the black seems to come off a lot better than the white
16:58It's slow going, and that is not Jimmy's style
17:01I'm going to go to one of the auto shops here
17:05And hopefully they'll have something stronger
17:07So that we can get a move on a bit more
17:10And we've got to be ready for two weeks
17:12And then I'll be back in two minutes
17:16With Jimmy off looking for solutions
17:18Michael pushes the restoration forward
17:20Slowly, very slowly
17:23Before I had seen it, I had pictured everything coming off
17:26And just one clean scrape like that
17:31Beautiful sunny day
17:34I've got this sticker remover from the car shop
17:37It's a gel, so it should hang on there longer than the aerosol
17:42Because the aerosol obviously evaporates as soon as you put it on
17:46And then I've got an eraser wheel
17:49That goes into your handle drill
17:51And spins
17:53And it's just rubber
17:54So it shouldn't affect the paintwork
17:56You should just take that thing off
17:58We'll give it a go
18:01Desperate times call for desperate measures
18:05Smells pretty nice
18:06Mmm
18:07Here comes the test
18:09Will Jimmy's new purchase do the job?
18:12Look there, Michael
18:13Look at that
18:15It's beautiful
18:16Look at that thing
18:16I wonder if you need these little scrapers
18:19Keep that up
18:21Jimmy's idea works
18:23And he's passed this tedious task on to Michael
18:30That one's going to be a...
18:32He's keen to see if the original colour can shine through
18:36After all the years in the Florida sun
18:38I'm going to clean this section off here
18:42With this product we've got
18:44And it should enhance the red of the paint
18:46So we'll give it a go
18:48Mine's ideas are pretty radical at times
18:53And frightening
18:56But this one with the boss
18:58I'm actually enthusiastic about it
19:02Once we get it up to a standard
19:06It's just going to be a wow for everybody
19:09I'm just going to go and get the lacquer paint now
19:13There you go
19:15All this does is put a shine on it
19:20See how it's shining?
19:21Oh, I tell you, Jimmy
19:23Gorgeous
19:23And on the other side
19:25Well, that's a lot better, isn't it?
19:29Everything's coming together
19:30But does Jimmy think the boss will be ready for St George's Day?
19:34We're making good progress
19:35We've actually got less than two weeks to get it stripped down
19:40And tarted up
19:42So, fingers crossed
19:49In Tampa, on Florida's luxurious Gulf Coast
19:55Ex-pat real estate consultant Justine is back in the office
19:59I have a couple of different roles here
20:02I oversee all of the marketing
20:03I oversee all of the closings
20:05There's a full day of sales on the cards for Justine
20:08And Marina Point Executive Director Dominic
20:11Who's also from London
20:12Morning Justine, how are you doing?
20:14Morning Dominic, how are you?
20:15I'm very good
20:16Got lots going on today
20:18Clients this afternoon that I'd like for you and I to tour
20:21Then this evening we have a yacht tour
20:23I'm looking forward to that
20:24With prospective clients
20:25That's going to be good
20:26If this property sells
20:28The first tower will be completely sold out
20:31Driving demand for the next two
20:33These clients that are coming in to look at the penthouse this afternoon
20:38They live in St Pete
20:40And they're interested in potentially moving to
20:44Obviously live directly on the water
20:47There we are
20:48Alright, let's do it
20:53Today's potential buyers are British expat Michael from Derby
20:58And his American wife Jenny
20:59Thank you for coming
21:00We appreciate it very much
21:02The penthouse that they're viewing has a hefty $3.1 million price tag
21:08This is the penthouse so we open up right out of the elevator straight into the penthouse here
21:15Alright
21:17What do you think of the view out here?
21:19Because I think this is it
21:20I mean this tells you everything about Marina Point
21:23This is absolutely gorgeous
21:24Wow
21:25A penthouse buyer is a very specific buyer
21:28So you obviously have to have the means to be able to purchase at that level
21:32But they know what they want
21:34And so if this is the lifestyle that they're looking for they'll know it immediately
21:38So we're looking like a bit of a lock up and leave sort of deal here
21:41You know
21:42Well that's what this is here
21:43You just let the concierge know that you'll be gone for however long
21:47And they take care of everything for you
21:50With first impressions out of the way
21:52How does Justine feel it's going?
21:54I think it's a great reaction so far
21:56We'll see
21:56So if they're looking to potentially sell
21:59Have a resort style
22:00A resort lifestyle
22:02Where they don't have any upkeep on a house
22:05Because they want to live part-time in France
22:06Um
22:07I think we're in good shape
22:08So we'll keep going
22:10The outer space is a
22:12It's a must
22:13Yeah
22:14And the one thing that never fails to impress
22:17The view
22:18Give me a heart to concentrate
22:19Looking at you there
22:21It would be a little lower to Pansbury
22:24That's the shower
22:25Yes
22:26This is
22:27It's a sanctuary
22:28This is a real
22:29Designed to be a sanctuary
22:31The tour over
22:32Can Justine close the sale?
22:35From Tower One
22:37This is the only residence that we have that's remaining
22:39Everything else is sold out
22:41So I guess some of it depends on whether you're looking to move immediately
22:43Or whether you're looking to move in the future
22:46Just a consideration that you know
22:48Once this one goes
22:49A million questions I can fire off to you as well
22:52I can send you an email with a million questions
22:53The viewing at an end
22:55What did Michael and Jenny make of it?
22:57It's incredibly spacious
22:58I think we'll struggle to fill it with furniture
23:00To be honest
23:01But it's great
23:02Thank you so much
23:04Thanks a lot
23:04Thank you so much
23:05See you again
23:06Nice meeting you
23:06Thanks very much
23:07The buyers are holding off for now
23:09But is Justine confident of a future sale?
23:13Fingers crossed
23:13It's the only residence that we have
23:16And the timing for Tower Two
23:18Doesn't seem as though it'll work quite as well for them
23:20Because we're at least two years off from that one
23:23So maybe if they like it enough, they'll commit to it
23:28With the viewing done, Justine has to turn her attention to this evening's yacht party
23:33For more potential buyers
23:34But is she gonna need a bigger boat?
23:51In Claremont, the big day has finally arrived for pub owner Martin
23:57Today we're celebrating St George's Day
23:59We celebrate every other patron saint during the year
24:03Today is St George's Day for the English patron saint
24:05It's now ten past eleven
24:06We've got live music starting at two
24:08So we've got a lot to get done this morning
24:11Waiting for the champagne cart to arrive
24:12It's also the official unveiling of their new roadside advertising
24:18Lucy, the London bus
24:19Jimmy, thanks a lot for doing all the work on the bus
24:22It was a pleasure
24:23Amazing
24:24It was a pleasure
24:25The old lettering gone, Martin is focused on getting the best of British branding up
24:30We've got a logo for each side of the bus and one for the back
24:35Dresses her up a little bit with our logo
24:37I think that's all it needs really
24:38And then we've got one with the name Lucy
24:42To go on the side of the bus
24:43Put it on the driver's door
24:44On the driver's door
24:45Yeah
24:46And that's the number of the bus and her destination which is here
24:49So I think it'll look really cool
24:52With the clock ticking, Jimmy gets straight to work
24:55You remind me of normal wisdom up there, Jim
24:57Yeah
24:59We're going quite big on this today with live music
25:01The unveiling of Lucy the bus
25:03St George, a guy who comes dressed as St George
25:05He's gonna be slaying the dragon
25:06We've got the unicorn back today
25:08Which is great for the kids
25:10So I'm really hoping people turn out for it
25:12Even though it's a Wednesday
25:14It's a bit of a tricky day
25:15It's a work day
25:16But I'm hoping we'll have plenty of people here
25:18I think he's doing a great job
25:19And it's gonna look really cool
25:22There we go
25:25That looked brilliant
25:27Whilst Jimmy works and Martin watches
25:29Pub manager and Jimmy's wife Anne
25:31Is preparing her surprise addition to today's celebration
25:37Today we have St George coming down later
25:41And he has to slay a dragon, doesn't he?
25:45So guess who the dragon's gonna be?
25:47It's gonna be our own Mr. Martin
25:55She needs to make sure the dragon suit is up to scratch
25:58So we put the battery pack onto the blower
26:06Pumps a gore
26:10There's a little tub head in there
26:14Now we gotta get Mr. T in it
26:19Oh my god this is so funny
26:21Gotta think of a name for him
26:23Dennis
26:24Dennis the dodgy dragon
26:28Lucy the boss is now fully branded and ready to pull in the customers
26:33That looks really good didn't it?
26:35Yeah that looks perfect
26:35Yeah
26:35Just needed that little touch didn't it?
26:37Yeah
26:37And then you get the people pictures
26:39Yeah
26:41Instagramable Jimmy they call it
26:42That's what the kids call it these days
26:45It's nearly 2pm
26:46And the staff are putting on the final touches before the guests arrive
26:57Hi guys how you doing?
26:58Good to see you
27:00So it's now 5 to 2
27:03The singers have just arrived
27:05I really want to have a successful day today
27:07Things need paying for
27:08Hoping we get a good response today
27:10And people spend a few quid
27:12What Martin doesn't know is
27:13That he's been lined up to play the dragon
27:16God save our gracious king
27:27In St Pete Beach
27:2914 year old Billy is off to play for his football team
27:33Our soccer as he now calls it
27:35I'm pretty excited
27:36Pretty excited to play
27:37Hopefully we'll get a win
27:38What does this mean as far as the league?
27:42Well we can't win the league
27:43Because the team that's won the league
27:44Because they already won it
27:46But we can get second
27:48Fine
27:49Success in soccer could be his ticket to a college scholarship
27:53And give the family finances a helping hand
27:56You need to make sure that you put in 110%
28:01Your place is not certain for next season
28:04So you've got to play every game
28:07Like it's your last game
28:08And like you're trying out
28:10That's what I was going to say actually
28:11It's very nice to have parents that support you
28:14With everything you do
28:15My dad mostly takes me to training
28:17And he knows a bit more about football
28:19So he can give me some post-match talks
28:21We'll never miss one of my games
28:23And it's great to have a supporter cheering on us
28:27Billy heads off to get ready for the game
28:29Good luck
28:30When I first moved to Florida
28:31It was a win experience
28:34Kind of getting used to the culture and the people
28:37Playing football or soccer here
28:40Really helped me to get more social
28:42And then it kind of just grew from there
28:44Billy's coach Ryan is another Brit from Nottingham
28:48He's been in Florida for four years
28:51I joined the Chargers two years ago
28:53Coached in England at a local team
28:56And then just sort of fell into the head coach role
28:59There you go
29:00Great finish
29:02Ryan's son Cohen is also on the team
29:04So Ryan wants to give the boys something special to look back on
29:08Well done
29:09When I was playing for Pheasant Colts in Nottingham at 11 to 15
29:12Some of my fondest memories were winning the league
29:15And getting to the finals of tournaments
29:17And I want these boys to have the same thing
29:19As kick-off nears
29:21It's time for a last-minute team talk
29:23Remember today
29:25We've got two games left
29:26Win both those games
29:27We've finished second in the league
29:29Right, huddle up
29:30Let's make it happen
29:313, 3, 3
29:331, 2, 3
29:34Let's go
29:36Chris!
29:37Let's go!
29:41All the way!
29:42All the way!
29:43It's important for Billy to play well
29:46To get scouted for a scholarship
29:48At a college
29:49And I'm sure his parents would be really happy
29:52If he got his college fees paid for
29:53Because of his football inability
29:56There's a lot of pressure on Billy
29:57I just wouldn't push him into doing football
30:01If he didn't want to do it
30:02Or any of his sports
30:03Because, you know, I feel like the passion needs to come from them
30:06Right, do something with it, Billy!
30:09Nice!
30:10Go, go, go, go!
30:11Oh!
30:11Oh, lucky!
30:15Come on, we need more of that, Chargers! Come on!
30:19Growing up, I had a great time with my family, I really did
30:23And then had a falling out with my dad
30:25And it sort of spurned me on to be a better family man
30:30Doing stuff with my kids that my dad didn't do with me
30:33My family is everything, Donna and the two boys
30:36I'm proud of them, all of them, every one of them
30:39I need to make them proud of me as well
30:41It's not just making them food and taking them to football and that
30:44I want to go out and earn some money
30:47And that's what I'm going to do
30:50On the pitch, Billy's struggling to find his rhythm
30:55Hey, Billy, Zach
30:57That's why that happened, didn't it?
30:59You know it
31:01No shot! No shot! Well done!
31:04Hey, Bill, that there, you've got to be stronger, mate
31:06You know it, you know it
31:09At half-time, the game is goalless
31:11And Billy isn't happy with his performance
31:14I'm playing in the position I don't want to play
31:17He's playing me in the wrong position
31:18That's right
31:20Will he be able to turn it round in the second half?
31:30Just over the bay, in Tampa
31:32The day's not over for real estate consultant Justine
31:36She has a luxury sunset cruise to run
31:39So when I spoke to the yacht dealer, they were trying to get us the 75 foot
31:43And I kept booking because I thought that we were okay with the 75 foot
31:47But when I look outside, I can see it's definitely a 54 foot
31:50So there's a good possibility we've overbooked our guest list this season
31:54With the yacht looking a little on the snug side, Justine needs to make sure there's enough space for all
32:01her potential clients
32:03I think we'll have about 16 guests and then about 20, 22, 23 of us total on the boat
32:11I think I could live here actually
32:12I don't think we're gonna have an issue tonight
32:14I think we've got plenty of room for everybody
32:17And while it's not as long as the other one, it's very wide
32:20So everybody can kind of spread out
32:23For peace of mind, Justine double checks with Morgan from the yacht brokers
32:28Hey, how are you?
32:29Good, how are you?
32:30I'm well, thank you
32:30Nice to see you
32:31So we're gonna be okay with the number of people we have, right?
32:34Yes
32:34Yeah?
32:35Because we've got, you think because the weather's okay
32:37Yeah
32:37So we can have them on two floors?
32:39Yes, definitely
32:40You can go up onto the bow, hang out up there, hang out on the back, up top and here
32:43So it's not gonna be an issue then?
32:45All right, because I was panicking a little bit
32:47Oh gosh
32:47Okay
32:50Hi Captain Mosley, Justine
32:52Hi Justine
32:53Nice to meet you
32:53Nice to meet you as well
32:55So where are we going out tonight?
32:56Just out in the
32:57Oh, we're going out to play with the dolphins
32:59I love it
33:02Let me see
33:03Oh, I'm too little to be a captain, I think
33:07Wow
33:08Powerful
33:09I like it
33:10Tampa Bay is on the west coast of Florida
33:12You get the most amazing sunsets
33:15I mean, they are every shade of pink and purple
33:17And they're really quite stunning
33:19Everybody will go on the boat at 6
33:206.30, we'll leave the marina
33:23As the event nears and the sun's over the yardarm
33:26There's just time for a G&T
33:29Change my outfit, ready to go, ready for the party, waiting for the guests to arrive
33:33So having a quick gin and tonic while we wait
33:35With the first arrival stepping on board, the evening is officially underway
33:40How are you?
33:41We said hello
33:42We're to Salem again
33:43Thank you
33:44On the sunset cruise, a mix of different clients
33:46They're either looking to buy at Marina Point
33:49Or they're somehow working with us
33:51There's always a lot of British companies that are moving into town
33:54Some of the local leadership from Tampa, so it's good PR
33:58We have enough of everything, you feel good
34:00Absolutely
34:00We've got ice and everything we need
34:01We have beer and wine options
34:03A few alcohol options
34:04It's a basic mixers
34:05Super
34:06Absolutely
34:06Okay, and then hors d'oeuvres
34:08Just picky bits and everything
34:09Yep, we have some fruits and cheeses for you
34:10Okay
34:11Some Italian-handed pasta
34:13Okay
34:14Fantastic
34:15It'll be a fantastic evening
34:16I certainly set high standards for things that I do
34:19And I don't like doing things when they don't go well
34:21Because it reflects poorly, not just on me, but on everybody, on the whole team
34:26So yes, hopefully it's going to go well
34:29All the guests accounted for
34:31Is everybody here?
34:32Everybody's here
34:33Awesome
34:33Good to go
34:34The captain's going to get us ready to go
34:36You have all your forms? You've got everything you need?
34:38Yep, finishing them up right now
34:39Beautiful
34:40All right, let me know if you need anything
34:41Perfect
34:41Thanks, Morgan
34:42As the yacht heads for open waters, Justine's fingers are crossed that our potential buyers will be impressed
35:03In St. Pete Beach, Donna and Dan are cheering on their youngest son Billy
35:09I love coming to watch Billy
35:11Sometimes I don't know why you come to tell you
35:14Because you get stressed the whole time
35:16You stress me out more than the game does
35:19I can vouch for now
35:20Yeah
35:22I thought we were friends
35:23You'd rather have me side with you over your wife?
35:25Of course
35:26I've been married a long time, I know better
35:30Since we've been here, we've met some wonderful friends
35:34Everyone wants to help each other
35:36They really do
35:37Everyone wants to help you
35:39And I've no doubt that that's going to help me going forward
35:43On the pitch, Billy's team soon takes the lead
35:45Yeah!
35:47Yeah!
35:49And it's not long before they score again to go 2-0
35:52Yeah!
35:54If Billy wants to go to CDM, he can play, Shane
35:56It's not been Billy's best match, but he's looking to raise his game
36:01Well done, Billy
36:01Well done, Billy
36:03Coach Ryan wasn't very happy with me
36:04I wasn't really happy with myself either
36:06Wasn't really playing up to my standards
36:08I want to improve a lot more
36:12Go on!
36:14Go on!
36:15Go on!
36:15Go on!
36:16Go on!
36:16Hit there, Damien!
36:17Hit!
36:18Oh, lucky!
36:19Good go, Billy!
36:21Good go, Billy!
36:23Good go, Billy!
36:23The final whistle is blown
36:26Yeah, well done
36:29A big win
36:30Coach Ryan has a few words for the team
36:32And we battled through it
36:332-0 win, boys
36:34You should be proud of yourselves
36:35Next weekend, the final game of the season
36:37If we get that win
36:39Then we finish second in the league
36:40But has Billy done enough to secure his place in the team moving forward?
36:46Right, Bill
36:46During that game, first half
36:48Your press high wasn't quite there
36:50That's why we moved you for that second half
36:52You did the job perfectly, so well done
36:54Your communication with your teammates
36:56Was probably better today than I've seen it for a few weeks
36:59So keep that going in the next game
37:01A positive finish to the game for Billy
37:04Good win
37:05Yeah, good win
37:06You enjoyed it
37:07Yeah, it was fun
37:09Time for the family to head out on a friend's boat
37:11And enjoy what they came to Florida for
37:20I love this boat so much
37:21Yeah
37:22It's my favourite boat
37:23It's my favourite boat
37:24It's my favourite boat
37:25We are going to Shell Quay
37:27Which is a little island near our house
37:30Well, it's like about 15 minutes on a boat
37:33It's not a swim
37:34And we're gonna go there and have some fun in the water
37:38And celebrate Billy's win, yay!
37:42My parents first told me about moving to Florida
37:44I didn't really want to move in England
37:46I wouldn't expect off to one of my football matches
37:48To have a boat picking me up from my back garden
37:51The lifestyle is completely different
37:53You know, the weather, the school has been great for me
37:56You can't really ask for much more
38:03Also out in the water, in Tampa Bay
38:05Real estate consultant Justine has organised a sunset yacht party
38:10Part of her strategy to market her prime waterside development
38:15The purpose of the event is
38:16I want to make sure that the clients that are moving to Marina Point
38:20And all of the influential people are aware of us
38:23Because even if they're not looking to buy
38:25They certainly have the ability to connect with us in some way, shape or form
38:31Justine was counting on a cameo from Florida's marine life
38:35To help sell the waterfront drain
38:37We're on the hunt for dolphins
38:39They seem to have been hiding
38:40And I think it's your fault
38:42Because all day long
38:43You've been teasing everybody about dolphins
38:46And they're all day, every day
38:48They're outside, aren't they?
38:49I don't know
38:50They seem to have eluded us to that
38:51But we always see dolphins
38:53But then when you're trying to sell a lifestyle
38:54The dolphins go and they hide
38:57All eyes might be peeled for dolphins
39:00But are the guests having a good time?
39:03Beautiful yacht
39:03I live in the tower that we just left
39:07And it's so convenient, you know
39:08Because we have a marina right below
39:11And it's beautiful
39:12So on a day like today
39:13How could you not love this?
39:15I'm selling a house in England tomorrow
39:17And definitely would love the opportunity
39:19To consider retirement at some point
39:22So I came down today to have a look at it
39:24Very seriously
39:25How could you not?
39:26It's paradise
39:27It's paradise for us Brits, right?
39:29All signs point to the cruise being a success for Justine
39:35As the sun dips below the horizon
39:37This is beautiful
39:38It is so beautiful
39:40The captain sets a course back to the marina
39:43It was a nice trip
39:45Everybody seemed to enjoy
39:47Nobody fell overboard
39:49It was a good day
39:51I've asked myself
39:52Would I be successful if I had stayed in the UK?
39:55I think that there's more opportunity in the US
39:59I think living here and being a shy English girl
40:03That was trying to figure out how to make it work over here
40:05Taught me to face being shy
40:08That changed me
40:10I think I'm somebody different
40:11Would I have been as successful?
40:12Who knows?
40:14With the evening over, the guests head for home
40:18Thank you
40:19Very fun
40:19Thank you
40:20Thank you
40:20Pleasure
40:21So we will reconnect
40:23Nice to meet you
40:25Thank you
40:25This was wonderful
40:26Thank you
40:27And Justine can take stock of how it all went
40:30That was excellent
40:32That was excellent
40:33Ten out of ten
40:33I mean that's why we do this
40:35The people that are on it
40:36Yes I think that we'll end up probably getting a contract out of it
40:39But you never know who's then going to tell their friends
40:41This is where you should be living
40:48I thought that was a brilliant night
40:50Yeah me too
40:52So what's next? Selling more condos
40:55Getting construction started on Tower 2
40:57And then after that on Tower 3
40:59And that's it
41:01Just sell, sell, sell
41:11Over in Claremont
41:13How about a Martin's St George's Day event is up and running
41:17So John's going to start singing now with all your favourite hits
41:21Are you sure?
41:22And some of my own hits
41:23Some of his own hits
41:24Let's get a drink
41:24Happy St George's Day everyone
41:26Thanks for coming
41:27Cheers guys
41:28I'm really hoping people respond to it like they do for St Patrick's Day and stuff
41:32We want to make St George's Day just as big a day over here
41:36To mark the occasion, they've unveiled Martin's latest attraction
41:40If anybody wants a picture with Lucy, our new double-decker bus, feel free to do so
41:45And it looks like Lucy is doing her job
41:48Today I came here for St George's Day to see this lovely bus
41:52Isn't it great for the bar to have this bus? It's just fabulous
41:56This amazing bus
41:57Yeah, it's certainly different, that's for sure
42:01When I was in London as a boy, we always used to see these
42:03Come down and see
42:04A familiar face at the pub, Sir William has arrived with his trusty unicorn in tow
42:10Yeah, unicorn
42:13This is when you've made it when you have your squires dressing you
42:16And Anne has a job for him
42:18Sir William, you are St George
42:20And your job today is to slay the dragon
42:26As St George and the unicorn start the festivities
42:31There's one detail Anne needs to share
42:33Martin has to play the dragon
42:36You want me to dress up like a dragon?
42:39No, you are going to be the dragon
42:41You've got little air things in there that blows it up and you'll look beautiful
42:46What am I doing?
42:48Surely there are better ways to earn a living
42:51It's alright you laughing, Jones
42:54For God's sake
42:59Fully in character and bathed in nylon on one of the hottest days of the year so far
43:04Martin is giving it his all
43:06I'm going to have a heart attack
43:08It's time for St George to face the dragon
43:15St George, we've got a problem
43:17What is your problem?
43:19We found a dragon hanging about
43:21A dragon or a bad dragon?
43:23No, very bad dragon
43:23Very bad, how bad?
43:25Very bad, how bad?
43:26Stink?
43:26Yeah, it needs to be eliminated

43:40Yes!
43:42Roar!

43:47Roar!
