00:00In a previous topic in Sudan, the governor of Darfur, Mini Arkominawi, pointed out that more than 85% of the combatants in the paramilitary rapid support forces are mostly from neighboring countries.
00:11Minawi explained that this event represents the essence of the current security crisis,
00:16further noting that the militia's reliance on foreign fighters reveals its own patriotic nature and the danger it poses to the future and unity of the country.
00:26Minawi's statements come at a time when there are increasing reports of mercenaries from Shad, Niger and Central Africa joining the RSF,
00:35a fact that was confirmed by previous UN reports that spoke of a continuous flow of combatants across the western border of Sudan with the support of regional actors.
00:46It should be noted that since April 2023, the clashes have devastated the country, leaving nearly 20,000 dead and 15 million displaced,
00:55constituting one of the greatest displacement crises in the world today.
