00:00And in Peru, the Prosecutor's Office reopened the primary investigation against former President Ollanta Humala for his alleged involvement in crimes during his service as a soldier in countering insurgency operations.
00:11The first Prosecutor's Office, specializing in human rights and anti-terrorism, stated that the investigations will last for eight months, during which time evidence will be searched for that justifies opening a criminal trial.
00:21This new investigation includes former military personnel Tobias Uwaringa, Nicanor Guerra, Amilcar Gomez and Rosal Vela, who are alleged to be responsible for torture, murder and forced disappearance during the internal armed conflict from 1980 to 2000.
