00:00All right, Joe PZP is back with us. He took a bye week last week and he's back with us here for the rest of the fantasy football season.
00:07Hopefully his several of his 64 fantasy football teams are still alive here.
00:14I have two. I have two teams. I have one. My season is kaput and I have one that I'm still very much alive and actually surging in a little bit.
00:22So I'm actually feeling a lot better to see Joe and talk some fantasy football with you. Welcome back.
00:26Yeah, it's good to see you. I like to take that little bye week once a season, you know, just kind of get away a little bit.
00:33I did not enjoy the eight and a half hour plane delay on Saturday, trying to get home for a long time to be in an airport with two teenage girls.
00:41So my daughters made it through, though. Luckily, we did eventually get back to New Jersey from Florida, but we had a great time.
00:48And now I'm refreshed and we're coming off a really exciting week 10 to a lot of fun stuff.
00:52We talk about definitely some winners and losers here.
00:54Definitely so. Joe, I made the point on yesterday's show, and I don't do this very often because I know how fantasy football goes.
01:02OK, but if you had Jonathan Taylor and lost, I told people on social media, come at me, come after me.
01:08I got I got to see how this went so spectacularly wrong because he had one of the best fantasy days in years at running back.
01:16Thirty two attempts, two hundred forty four yards and three touchdowns for Jonathan Taylor.
01:23He's one of your winners, as well as Travion Henderson, who's now finally playing in Mac Jones, who had a great game in a loss against the Rams.
01:31But let's focus here on Jonathan Taylor for a minute because fantasy owners are so happy, but they're crying because he's not going to play this week.
01:37You know, to me, I don't know. I mean, you probably would have the perspective on all time performances.
01:42I'm going to say no, not an all time performance, but maybe over the last couple of years up there.
01:47Right. Fair to say. Certainly.
01:49Look, last year, Saquon Barkley had a fantastic season.
01:51We're talking about like individual game scenarios.
01:53Certainly Jonathan Taylor's performance in week 10 is one of the best we've seen in the last 10 years.
01:58I mean, it's just been spectacular.
01:59It's not just that, too. It's what he's done all season long for this team.
02:02And that's why he is now being considered in this MVP race, because it's not a great year for the quarterbacks.
02:07I know Drake May is at the top right now with Matthew Stafford.
02:10There's Jonathan Taylor right there with him.
02:12And you can argue as a second round pick this year, Jonathan Taylor is easily the fantasy MVP of the season because he was not taken in any first round that I was in.
02:20He basically was going somewhere in that second round.
02:23And that was at the time a pretty good indication.
02:25He had dealt with some injuries the last couple of years, but he has been so good in this offense this year.
02:29And Daniel Jones has been good enough that they move the change.
02:33They give Jonathan Taylor more opportunities.
02:34And that's been the problem the last couple of years for this offense is that they're not on the field long enough when you can sustain some drives and keep getting Jonathan Taylor in the football.
02:43Good things happen.
02:44Now, what's the threshold to get him to MVP in the NFL?
02:47That's an interesting question, because I think he has to get over 2000 yards.
02:50The touchdown total has got to be just undeniable.
02:54And he's on pace for that.
02:55And in a year where there's Mahomes and Lamar and Josh Allen and none of them are having great seasons, I know Drake May has had a fantastic coming emerging season here.
03:05But at the same point, I don't know necessarily if that's the way it's going to go.
03:07But speaking of the Patriots, Travion Henderson's coming out party.
03:10That genie is out of the bottle now.
03:12I don't think you can put it back in.
03:13If you have Ramondre Stevenson, I think you hold on to him.
03:15But I will say this.
03:17Travion Henderson, fresh legs in New England in the wintertime now coming up.
03:21Right?
03:21It's going to get colder.
03:22It's 36 degrees in New Jersey.
03:24It's a culture shock from Florida, from where I just came, visiting your place.
03:28And I will tell you this.
03:29This week against the Jets, all of a sudden, like, now you've got the speed of Kyle Williams, the speed of Travion Henderson at the right time.
03:36A lot of incredible things.
03:38And one more thing, too.
03:39Mack Jones is a winner, I think, from last week.
03:42It's another one where he put up good stats.
03:45And I think you look back and you say, OK, does Mack Jones play himself into a role somewhere next year?
03:50And considering the quarterback class coming out, I would say the answer is undoubtedly yes.
03:54He will be a starter somewhere for some team next season.
03:58Yeah.
03:58I mean, no one's going to make the Geno Smith mistake.
04:00But I think he will, as you said, get one year, 7 million, 10 million, two years, 15 million, something like that.
04:06And he'll be a starter.
04:07I think that's a great point.
04:08By the way, Jonathan Taylor, 7,000 rushing yards, 70 touchdowns prior to turning 27.
04:14Emmitt Smith, Jim Brown, LaDainian Tomlinson.
04:17I mean, these are Hall of Fame guys.
04:19And, you know, certainly Taylor is on that track to do that as well.
04:22All right.
04:23So week 10 losers.
04:24Joe didn't know that Monday night was going to be so bad.
04:26So he told us Thursday night was going to be the worst game.
04:29And that didn't even come close.
04:30Monday night was way worse.
04:31I don't even know.
04:32Thursday was really bad, too.
04:33But Denver beat Vegas 10 to 7.
04:36Nobody got anything going there.
04:38It was disastrous.
04:40The Bills, I don't know what happened in this game.
04:42They lose 30 to 13.
04:43And, you know, naturally, the Steelers offense has gone back into a shell again.
04:47And I suppose, you know, Pittsburgh will be okay.
04:49They've just been really inconsistent this season.
04:52I think you've nailed it right there.
04:54They're inconsistent.
04:55You don't know who they are week to week, which makes them really difficult to invest in, I think, from the betting standpoint.
04:59But really difficult, too, from the fantasy standpoint, too.
05:02Jalen Warren is that one thing that I think you feel good getting you double-digit, you know, somewhere around 14 points every week, right?
05:07But Aaron Rodgers' plays been up and down, and they're very predictable.
05:10And this is the problem with an Arthur Smith offense, right?
05:12They've become very predictable.
05:13It's what ran him out of town in Atlanta.
05:15And he had a lot of good weapons there, and they couldn't figure things out.
05:18DK Metcalf getting forced to football is pretty much all they're trying to do.
05:22And they don't have enough weapons around him.
05:24He's a 40-year-old quarterback.
05:25You need to surround him with more.
05:26I was hoping at the trade deadline, maybe they would make a move for a Jacoby Myers or somebody else.
05:31I think he could use a possession-wide receiver.
05:33They didn't get that.
05:34They still don't have that.
05:35So it's pretty much an all-or-nothing offense.
05:37And when it's nothing, man, it's really tough from a fantasy perspective.
05:40But it was so interesting to watch because it looked as though the Chargers basically had the playbook.
05:44They knew exactly what Rodgers was going to do, and that predictability is not going to serve them well.
05:49Now, luckily, Thursday night, I didn't see a lick of because I was out there drinking butterbeer in some Harry Potter world.
05:55And I missed all of them, but I did not miss Monday.
05:58Good for you.
05:58And Monday was frustrating.
05:59Monday was not the best.
06:00I'm not going to lie.
06:02It was.
06:02It was very, very disconcerting.
06:04Not the best?
06:05No score.
06:06I will say this.
06:07Good for me because I'm still alive by 0.5 points because Saquon Barkley had such a boring night in my Survivor Chop League there in my guillotine.
06:17I thought for sure I was toast, but Saquon's quiet night saved me.
06:21So I thank the football gods for a boring Monday night.
06:24Yeah.
06:25It was rough.
06:26All right.
06:27So waiver wire this week is not that hot.
06:29Let's just call it what it is.
06:31I mean, by now, you've got to have your team.
06:33But every once in a while, someone will pop in there.
06:35So let's take a look here.
06:37Tez Johnson, he's been added.
06:39He's been cut.
06:40It seems like he's still a good target here.
06:42But eventually, maybe Godwin and Evans come back.
06:45So what are you investing in there?
06:46Algier is going up in terms of ownership as just dumb luck that he was in there near the B.
06:52John Robinson was not.
06:54Theo Johnson keeps getting targets.
06:56Although the quarterback situation there is rough.
06:58Luther Burden had a nice game.
07:00And Tyler Lockett is back on the fantasy map here a little bit.
07:03That's not going to inspire a lot of people.
07:05Let's be honest, Joe.
07:06I mean, this is like your basic.
07:07You look at your team, you look at your league.
07:10If it's an active league, you're making trades, right?
07:12Like, this is it.
07:13Like, if you're going to try to get better, dynasty or not, you've got a couple of weeks left to make a deal, and that's it.
07:18Well, and this is why you watch FST.
07:20Because three weeks ago, we were pat on the table to make a deal for Travion Henderson.
07:23Because it was such a low bar to get him.
07:26And I know in a couple of leagues, I made that deal.
07:29Now, look.
07:29Tez Johnson, I think, is a guy worth rostering.
07:31He has flex appeal for sure.
07:33He's got touchdown upside.
07:34He's a smaller frame guy, but he has that big explosive play possibility.
07:38And I think even when Mike Evans eventually returns, he'll be fine.
07:41Chris Godwin, I'm not holding my breath for at this point, too.
07:44And I think that we were supposed to get him back around week five.
07:46It's now week 11, and we still have no insight to that.
07:49I also think I would throw Kate Otten on that list, too.
07:51Now, he doesn't have to block as much.
07:52All of a sudden, Kate Otten can get out there in space and catch more footballs.
07:55Theo Johnson, I think, is a tight end worth rostering as well.
07:59Even without Jackson Dart probably this week, I think Theo Johnson will get some work.
08:02And he'll get some target share.
08:04Tyler Algier is the one that surprises me, that he is not rostered in more leagues.
08:07If you have B. John Robinson, you must have Tyler Algier for the stretch run.
08:11If something happens to B. John, he has one of the best insurance policies you're going to find.
08:15Brian Robinson, you could say the same thing.
08:17He's getting more work the last couple weeks.
08:18You can talk about what the game script's been or whatever it might be.
08:21But McCaffrey's workload has been enormous this year.
08:24So this week is more about insurance on the waiver wire.
08:27And, of course, we also had a huge move here with Brian Dable getting fired.
08:30I mean, when you have a win probability over 90% in three games, you have to get rid of the head coach if you can't win one of those games.
08:39So it's a tough situation.
08:41But, Craig, I'll ask you this.
08:43When you go in next year, you look like you have a franchise quarterback in Jackson Dart.
08:47You have an all-world wide receiver, Malik Neighbors.
08:49You have Cam Scadaboo.
08:50You've got some good players on defense.
08:51Isn't the Giants probably the most desirable job you could possibly find next year in 2025?
08:56It is a good job.
08:58I would say, honestly, the way that it works, though, Joe.
09:01And I'm not being biased here.
09:03You know I'm not necessarily a Dolphins fan.
09:04Despite living here, most people would rather have the Miami job because it's Miami.
09:08It's just – I just think that that's – without anyone, people just want to live.
09:12But it's cold here.
09:14You're reminding me of –
09:14Iguana's falling from the trees.
09:17Iguana's falling.
09:17Iguana's your favorite time of the year.
09:19Living together.
09:20It's mass hysteria.
09:21All right, Joe.
09:22See you.
09:23Have a good week.
09:24Thanks, buddy.
