00:00You know, they referred to the Monday after the final NFL game as Black Monday.
00:05And it's Black Monday because that's the day that the majority of coaches that are going to be fired get fired.
00:10Now, we've already had Brian Dable fired by the New York Giants.
00:13We've already had, what's his name, Callahan, was it?
00:15Yep, in Tennessee.
00:16Already got fired.
00:17You know, they're 3-13 right now.
00:19The Giants have not won but a single game since they fired Brian Dable.
00:25So we thought we would take a look.
00:27We get no joy out of this.
00:28We're not the humbug guys.
00:29We're not the Grinch.
00:30But we recognize what's going to happen in a few days.
00:33And that's going to be, I think, a lot of NFL firing.
00:36So let's just go through it real quick.
00:38Starting the AFC, the Raiders and Pete Carroll.
00:41Do you let Pete Carroll come back and coach a rookie quarterback?
00:45Because he's been very good with young quarterbacks.
00:47He has been.
00:48Or do you acknowledge the fact that Pete Carroll, for all the successes he had in Seattle,
00:52and, of course, at USC, that the game has passed him by.
00:56And you should bring in a young coach who can relate to a young quarterback.
00:59I think Pete Carroll's gone.
01:01I think he's gone.
01:02I think they give him a different role only because for two more years they have to pay
01:05him $15 million.
01:07So $30 million more.
01:08And his main goal was, and apparently he has accomplished this, behind the scenes, things
01:13are in order.
01:13Not on the field.
01:14Okay.
01:14But apparently they didn't have a functional scowling department.
01:17I think the Raiders are paying like five guys still.
01:19Yeah, they are.
01:19Who aren't coaching for them.
01:20So Pete Carroll, we agree, is no longer the coach, but still involved with the organization.
01:25New York Jets, Aaron Glenn.
01:26I'm going bottom up here.
01:28I see no reason to bring Aaron Glenn back.
01:30It was a complete failure.
01:33The team does not play for him.
01:35And I see nothing he has done to make me think that he's a good head coach.
01:38Well, he should have mixed in losing by less down the stretch.
01:43Four straight games, losing by 23 or more.
01:45Yeah.
01:45So I don't know if the, usually they don't make decisions based on one game.
01:50He better not get blown out against Buffalo in the last game of the year coming up this
01:53weekend.
01:54But I think he's also gone because of that.
01:56All right.
01:56Tennessee's already fired their head coach.
01:58Cleveland Stefanski, gone.
02:00Gone.
02:00All right.
02:01Kansas City, obviously Andy Reid has a huge contract, four more years on it.
02:06He's coming back.
02:07They're not going to fire Andy Reid.
02:08And he's not retiring, but I'm not 100% sure he comes back.
02:11I think he goes back for one more year.
02:13I don't think he sees the end of his contract, but I do think he comes back.
02:16Just self-respect and pride.
02:18Cincinnati, Zach Taylor.
02:20Gone.
02:20Gone.
02:21Gone.
02:21Like, at what point do we recognize it ain't working?
02:24Yeah.
02:24I mean, come on.
02:25And I know it's not his fault that Joe Burr has always heard, but I don't think he's
02:28a very good coach, to be honest with you.
02:29He's not.
02:30And he's supposed to be a defensive guy.
02:32And the defense always stinks.
02:34All right.
02:34So we fired one.
02:36We fired two.
02:36We fired three.
02:37We got fired four.
02:39Miami, we know McDaniels is coming back.
02:41He's coming back.
02:41They can get to eight and nine if they beat New England.
02:44And the owners like him.
02:45And you know what?
02:45He's not a buffoon.
02:47He's not great, but he's not terrible.
02:48And he did a good job keeping it together there.
02:50Yeah, yeah.
02:51Baltimore.
02:52They're not going to fire Harbaugh.
02:54Could they work something out where he and they agree to separate?
02:57Maybe.
02:58But they're not going to fire Harbaugh.
03:00Mm-mm.
03:00Indianapolis.
03:01I think Steichen stays.
03:04I think he did enough without a quarterback.
03:07Yeah, he probably did.
03:08You also have to look at they want to do stability.
03:10He has three years left on his contract.
03:12He's still on that first contract.
03:13He made Daniel Jones a Pro Bowl quarterback.
03:15Yeah, I think he stays.
03:16I think he stays, too.
03:17By the way, if they lose to Houston, they would have gone from seven and one to under 500.
03:22Only guy to ever do that was Rich Cotite in Philly.
03:25Was seven and two at the Eagles.
03:26Didn't win another game.
03:28Ended out seven and nine in that season.
03:31Asked for an extension.
03:32Didn't get it.
03:33And the last guy I'll go to here is Mike Tomlin.
03:37He's under contract.
03:38They extended him.
03:40Could Mike Tomlin and the Steelers agree to part ways?
03:43Yes.
03:44Yes.
03:44Will they fire him?
03:46No.
03:47No.
03:47Fair enough?
03:48Fair enough.
03:48All right.
03:48Let's quickly go to the NFC now, okay?
03:50Mm-hmm.
03:51NFC, bottom up.
03:52The New York Giants have already fired.
03:54Brian Dable, I know you hate Arizona.
03:56Yes, I hate.
03:58He's gone.
03:59He's gone, and he'll never be seen again.
04:013-13.
04:03Probably going to have a new quarterback there next year as well.
04:05Yes.
04:05Firing Arizona, all right?
04:07Washington's not going to fire Quinn.
04:09Although, he has been horrible.
04:11But they didn't have a quarterback.
04:13He gets great.
04:14Some of that also was him, though.
04:16Okay, but he's going to get a year of grace because of what they did last year.
04:19Yeah, and he also was part of putting together a very old roster.
04:22And surprise, surprise, the old roster got injured.
04:24Yeah.
