Ceferin: “Calendari? Siamo al limite, ma non tutti i club vogliono giocare di meno”

Il Presidente della Uefa, Aleksander Ceferin, ha parlato durante il Football Business Forum presso l’SDA Bocconi di Milano a proposito dell’affollamento dei calendari e delle richieste che arrivano dalle Leghe e dalle società su questo tema.

00:04I think that the players should have a month free after the season.

00:11I think that when there is no Euro, of course, Copa America, Gold Cup and the rest,

00:18or the World Cup, they should have free summer.

00:24Now, we discuss a lot with FIFA Pro Europe.

00:29We discuss with European football clubs and with the leagues.

00:33But, you know, the problem with this is that, from one point of view,

00:42somebody is asking us less, have less matches.

00:47But Premier League has two cups.

00:50They say, no, no, no, no.

00:52It's our tradition to have two cups.

00:54Then you have clubs who come to us and say,

00:56we need more matches because we need more revenues.

00:59but then they go back and say, UEFA force us to have more matches.

01:03So it's a very complicated thing.

01:07I think that all the ecosystems should meet

01:09and we should come to a common solution that we can always...

01:15But if anybody steps back, then everybody has to step back.

01:18So this, I think this is the only way.

01:21You cannot say there are too many Champions League matches.

01:24You cannot say, some say 20 teams in the league are too many.

01:29When you say that to the leagues that have 20, they would attack you physically.

01:33So it's a complicated one, but for sure there is no room for more matches.

01:41For sure there is no room for any other competition.

01:44No room for a World Cup with 200 teams?

01:47That's a good idea.

01:49You think you will be happy with this?

01:52Even If you and Slovenia will play every time.
