00:00So what did you make of the inactivity at the trade deadline?
00:05Yeah, I was a little surprised.
00:07I don't think as surprised as some look at the end,
00:09it is the NFL trade deadline and that sauce Gardner trade.
00:12That's, I mean, Haley's comment of sports transactions
00:15that you get a big deal at the NFL trade deadline.
00:18I wasn't expecting them to make a major splash.
00:20I didn't think, you know, a starter was on the table,
00:22but especially after they moved Kyle Duggar,
00:25Keon White last week,
00:26I thought maybe they were setting themselves up
00:28some more roster shuffling like they've done back to the spring.
00:31Vrabel getting in his guys, edge rusher felt like,
00:34and I guess still does feel like a position of need.
00:37They're a little thin there in terms of depth, linebacker safety.
00:40They're a little thin in terms of depth, running back.
00:42Maybe Ramondre Stevenson, that toe injury was a one game thing
00:45and he's back and that would shore up that running back depth
00:48a little bit more.
00:49But if he's not, he's going to miss a little more time.
00:52That's a thin spot.
00:53So I thought they were set up well with four six round picks
00:56to add some depth and sort of bolster the roster at these spots.
00:59The fact they didn't do that surprised me,
01:01but I didn't think they were one of these teams
01:03that was going to come out and take a big swing.
01:05No, not a big swing, but something.
01:07There's, you know, there are enough depth issues right now.
01:10There's enough, you know, actual issues to, to, to think.
01:14All right.
01:15Would it have been possible just based on the moves that you saw yesterday, Alex,
01:19and the things that, that were available out there that didn't get moved
01:23for them to package up, I don't know, one of those many sixth rounders
01:27that they have last year, maybe even a fifth rounder,
01:30do something to either help them at depth, whether it's on the offensive line,
01:34whether it's on the defense, anything out there.
01:37I thought the edge rusher market materialized in a way that they probably
01:41could have jumped in there.
01:43And, you know, there was some reporting that maybe the Titans weren't going
01:46to trade with them.
01:46Cause I was looking at guys on the Titans, Draymond Jones, Arden Key.
01:49And do you believe that, uh, the, the, the whole, uh, burning of bridges
01:54between Mike Vrabel and the Titans, that they just wouldn't bank a deal
01:57with the Patriots.
01:59From what I've heard from people who cover the Titans about that ownership
02:03group, I could see it.
02:05Oh, that's good stuff.
02:06That's you got to like, I mean, we talked about this last time I was in
02:10with you guys.
02:11Like, did they fire their coach?
02:13Like the timing of firing their coach?
02:14Cause Vrabel was coming to town.
02:16That makes more sense than shooting your, cause that was, what's the, you
02:20know, consequence of that?
02:21Like that's just pride, but, but actively, you know, sabotaging your team
02:29in a way for spite of something that no one even thinks about outside of
02:33that building.
02:34Outside of, and outside of that building and here in New England, it's one
02:38guy, you know, there's a couple of other, you know, the Vrabel loyalists
02:42too, but it's like, that's, that's really personal.
02:44That's not the Jets not dealing with the Patriots and vice versa.
02:48That's a divisional thing.
02:48That's a divisional thing.
02:50Okay.
02:50I, you know, that I get, but all right.
02:53So there may have been something with the Titans.
02:55Anything else?
02:56Look, I don't, I don't get it, but you know, there's 30 other teams you could
03:00have dealt with too.
