00:00I heard this on one of the shows yesterday.
00:03What if Vrabel says, look, I have this locker room right where I want them.
00:08They're in completely buying in.
00:10If I make a trade and bring a guy in to usurp someone's job,
00:15I'm throwing off the balance of that.
00:17I'm not rewarding the guys for buying in and playing the way they played.
00:24That was a theory that was thrown out there that I didn't think was ridiculous.
00:28I don't think it's ridiculous, but I also don't think that there's any one person
00:33that could point and say, hey, I'm the one who's getting screwed over here.
00:36There's a bunch of guys who have elevated a little bit or a lot,
00:41if you want to, in the case of DeMario Douglas or Kayshaun Boone.
00:44Well, the guy losing their job would be the guy that got screwed.
00:49Okay.
00:49Well, I think if you go far enough down the roster, there are guys down there who are,
00:54yeah, buy-in or not, if you end up getting a better player,
00:57this presumably has happened to each one of these guys at some point in their career.
01:01It does happen.
01:03And at some point you can't.
01:03Well, it's a relatively young team, though.
01:05So all I'm saying is that there is a point to be made that he goes,
01:11look, we're 7-2.
01:14We don't have a great deal of talent.
01:16There's no way we're going to upgrade the talent.
01:18But here's what – because you're talking about, like, okay, bring in depth,
01:21which I thought was a possibility.
01:24But then I heard this.
01:25I didn't come up with it, but I thought it.
01:27So just go through this line of thinking that Vrabel goes, look,
01:32we're so far outperforming our talent right now that everyone knows.
01:37You know, I know.
01:38The audience, unless they're kidding themselves, know this is not an exceptionally talented team.
01:42An exceptionally talented quarterback, not an exceptionally talented team.
01:46And a defense that has talented pieces.
01:49And Vrabel goes, okay, it's not so much even the draft capital.
01:55It's that if I upset, like, any of this ecosystem,
01:59and there is, like, this belief that your job's not safe even if you're performing well,
02:07then it's not worth it.
02:09It's not worth it for this year, and it's not worth it for the long haul.
02:12Like, this depth piece, sure, if Moses gets hurt, that, you know,
02:18this depth piece can, you know, slot in.
02:21But I don't know if that's going to happen,
02:23and do I really want to upset things just in case.
