Sudan's Ambassador urges global action against RSF for war crimes

Sudan’s ambassador to Egypt has publicly accused the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces of committing war crimes and called for the international community to formally classify the group as a terrorist organization, marking a significant escalation in the diplomatic front of the ongoing conflict.

00:00Sudan's ambassador to Egypt on Sunday accused the paramilitary rapid support forces of war crimes.
00:06Mustafa Adawi urged the international community to classify the RSF as a terrorist organization
00:11in line with the international standards for armed groups that engage in terrorism activities against civilians.
00:20We will not get involved under the Qatar umbrella as long as the United Arab Emirates is there as a mediator.
00:30If it wants to appear in its true form, then it can, but to sit with them as a mediator,
00:37we do not consider them as a mediator and reliable on the issue.
00:44In the ongoing conflict in Sudan, the United Arab Emirates has been associated with attempts to arm the RSF,
00:52a claim the Gulf country has firmly rejected.
01:00The government of Sudan affirms that there is no room for negotiation with this terrorist group.
01:08And the AMI affirms that in light of the international community's failure to fulfill its duty,
01:14it will continue to carry out its constitutional duty to protect citizens and restore stability to them.
01:21As it did in Khartoum, Al Jazeera, Sena, and the White Nile, and soon in Kodofan, and the rest of Darfur.
01:34The RSF denies the United Nations allegations of mass killings of at least 450 people
01:40at a hospital in El Fasher last week.
