00:00In South Sudan, aid organizations are raising alarm over reports of serious abuses,
00:06warning that civilians could be facing grave violations of international law.
00:11In a joint statement, humanitarian groups describe the situation as deeply concerning,
00:16citing reports of attacks that may breach the rules of war.
00:21The conflict in Zhongli, in parts around Zhongli as well, has displaced 286,000 people since the beginning of the
00:31year.
00:32And in Shreel, in northern Zhongli, I witnessed the scale of the displacement.
00:37The original population of Shreel is 6,000 people, and in the last two months it has expanded to 30
00:43,000,
00:44with another 25,000 in nearby villages along the Sobat River.
00:50Health workers and mothers told me continued nutrition support, vaccines,
00:56and increased provision of clean, safe water and non-food items are all critical now.
01:01But the population is in bad shape, and much more is needed.
01:06Relief groups are calling for urgent international action, including increased funding,
01:10safe access to aid delivery, and accountability for many violations committed.
